  1. Wheels look a bit small... some nice 15x7.5/8 inch wheels would look good... still not tried the 16 inch Cossie wheels in the garage though :D ... Maybe tomorrow.
  2. Picked up the panels a few days ago (Saturday night) - done a quick mock up on Sunday morning to see what they would look like. God it's wide. Alot wider than I expected. Now at the point of thought - MOT it and run it for a year - or get a cheap runaround and throw lots of cash at this and get it perfcet...I dont know  .. My reasoning is, a 2.8 Injection would be a perfect base car for all this... that has power steering (mine dosent), runs on unleaded (this runs 4 star.. nightmare), better engine (this is a 1.6) the list is endless. If I got this decent I could sell it on for near enough the price of a poor 2.8 Injection, but by then I'll have got more money together and could buy overall, a much better car. Decisions decisions.. I'll just stick up this picture for now... I'm knackered! Think I might tackle the electrics tomorrow, either that or crack out the Burton power catolougue and spend a small fortune..
  3. Yeah it is good.. and would work great, if some bugger hasnt been messing with the previous loom... so big rewiring job on the way.
  4. Just use alot of online quote sites to be honest!
  5. Not a clue - Although i'm only on 3k miles a year - Travel 2 miles every day form work and back, rest is leisure... and thats not much. Probably helps quite a bit. God it's been an expensive day! Alpine headunit mounted to 2 front Alpine speakers through to 2 rear Kendwoods.. new wiring and connectors. Lots of bodywork bits aswell. Bloody Halfords gave me the wrong adapter for the CD player - Not happy. Back in tomorrow for a replacement and then we "should" be good to go. Wont speak too soon though. Took the front bumper off ... Had a struggle with the rear.. got so agitated with it i grinded it off... somehow looks really good if the back end was all smoothed out... it's an aveue of thought. Although i'm thinking a car with no rear bumper but a front one would look odd... Obviously would have the brackets removed and the holes fillered in and the whole lot smoothed out.. Ive seen it done before and damn it looked good...thoughts? Started to sand the front bumper down - long and laborious process but I want to get it perfect. Going to take me the rest of the weeknights to get the front and rear end bupers sanded down... and picking up new panels on saturday, and hope to get the exhaust fitted this week too. Good fun !
  6. Fantastic, hope it all goes well for you. Steal my thread all you want, good to talk to like-minded people!
  7. Front end is off the car now, getting the metal bumpers sanded down and resprayed today by myself. Another good job needing done, but my hands are sore as anything...
  8. Cheers guys. Also forgot to say I got a new exhaust too - just an original one for now to get it through an MOT. KTF, I'm the same - Not a clue where to start ! For inspiration, crawl through many Owners club forums - thats where I look and think "Hmm, thats quite good, would like that on mine" and build up a list of bits. And eBay is god. What car do you have?
  9. Wow.. it's been a while! SHe's home.. finally.. Bit of a struggle but there we go. Put a new battery and she turned over first time - Fantastic. Then instantly remembered it had a broken exhaust - god it is LOUD! So various bits have been collecting up.. These include - 16 inch Ford Escort Cosworth wheels Alpine CD Player with Alpine speakers And i just won an auction on eBay for 5 original Ford panels - Known as the X-Pack kit. Not a bodykit as such... more a wide arched look. Looks like this now - A bit of dosh thrown about here and there and this is how she will look later this year. Budgeting quite a bit for this... Would rather not release the figures here but it's going to be a bit more than originally anticipated, but god it is worth it.
  10. Will try get a shot of my ugly mug for you lot tomorrow.
  11. Very true. It's quite a reality shock the first week (it was for me anyway). I am actually genuinely suprised - you sound very busy for such a small place. Is there really that many Morgans in the UK?
  12. Pah those hours are easy! I'm 7:30am - 6/whenever we finish. I've seen me go in at 4am to finish off cars that had to go out that morning (but the transporter broke down, and it was quite a big order for one company so we had to do it!)
  13. Sounds like you are having good fun! :)
  14. Are you actually doing mechanical work? Or just standing around and watching? If neither, what would you like to be doing? I've got a work experience person coming next week and I would just like to plan out what I can show him - Personally i'd love him to get stuck in to the mechanical work, and spend as much time as possible washing cars!
  15. Is this the thread that causes me to get these ads on this site? -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  16. Last minute cramming is good, but you shouldnt be nervous. If you have spent the last few weeks revising then what have you got to worry about? The best way I ever found of revision was to learn everything gradually over a few weeks, and on the last day, throw the books into the corner and go out, meet some friends. You are less stressed this way, and are relaxed. I've also heard smoking some of the green stuff before an exam works aswell as it stimulates and reduces nerves, but I dont condone it!!!
  17. Alan carr and Jason Lee Collins. Dont bother it was utter rubbish to be honest. They were trying to be funny, it just wasnt and Jeremy wasnt finding it funny either. All very scripted and generally bollocks!
  18. The same blue 599 I always see every few weeks. Gets boring aftre a while ;)
