  1. Picture :D I know its a bit late, but I forgot what it was called, and he didn't have any photos of it. Its a Monkspath Ford. There are only 4 in the world, and his has been in a shed for the past 40 years, so he is rebuilding it completely. He still denies he has a good life. The Jag XJS they have sold, the Mini is his and is race prepped, then comes the Ford, and the MG Midget he has spent a lot of time on, and has just started using to drive (on the road - hes technically been driving since he was 13 because they have a long drive) The go-kart he made himself, and can go around 40mph. What he is going to get it to look like (this is an image of one of the other 4) Other cars I've seen: HIDEOUS - I can't believe someone bought it! -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- A very good car IMO. I've always liked the Vel Satis and the Avantime. But its better that there are none on the roads - makes them cooler. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- And another great car. Great numberplate too... -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- Sorry for terrible quality pictures. They were taken on my phone in the cold (and the first and third were in the rain too - so I wanted to get back inside as I only had a short sleeved top on.)
  2. Highline, you are too cool to be on the internet! :)
  3. Some old(er) pictures of me. Just for the amusement of the crowd... At the British Motorshow at the NEC when I was 12. Me in a Ferrari 360 Spider, before I got given a ride in it, probably when I was 11 or 12. And me at a family friend's party. must have been 14 then. Oh how I've changed!
  4. Agree entirely Dr Evil - They are both so good! But I think Safiro is winning just for me atm. Also Grammar FTL :p
  5. As quoted by Clarkson (reffering to above male) - "JESUS IS HERE!!!!!":lol::lol:
  6. I added some bits on the line where it meets the windscreen. Very discreet as always, but it makes all the difference.
  7. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Real shame - they really made that sport. However I do think DTM and GT3 are far superior motorsports. Oh well.
  8. Updated my entry. Nothing major, just changed the grill back to being not purple (looked weird) and also fixed some roof issues, making it look more realistic. :D Still as purple as ever.
  9. You can't hotlink from netcarshow.com.
  10. Wouldn't work. When on its roof, the car would be resting on the front of its bonnet and the B pillar, providing enough room inside, but it would impossible to get to the windscreen. Normally this is because there is so much weight in the front (engine, gearbox etc), but I think Lambos would still be too flat overall to have any difference.
  11. That'll be because its the same car. All from GM, the Opel Speedster, Saturn Sky and they were going to make a Vauxhall VX220 one, but they didn't.
  12. My entry: Sorry for ruining it :p  Updated!: -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- Its the girl's coupe version!
  13. Light a match, find an opening into the fuel tank, stand back and enjoy. Later collect person with dustpan and brush.
  14. My computer is full of unnecessary stuff, but still, it has trouble playing youtube videos! Also, Christmas is the biggest anti-climax ever.
  15. Can I just say. On the Morgan front. They are not FUGLEH. I am not that fond of the old style ones (they were designed in 1948, and no-one bothered to change it), but the Aero 8 is one of the best looking cars for a long while. I didn't really like them at all before I worked at a Morgan garage for a week, but in that week, my entire opinion on them changed. When we went for a drive in an Aero 8, EVERYONE was looking at us. And the route we were taking is their test drive route; so they aren't that uncommon there. I have been in a Viper RT/10, and a 360 Spider, both making a lot of noise and pizazz, and neither of them got as many stares (or as many smiles out of me) as the Morgan did. Its exclusivity makes it better than any Lambo. Its comfort makes it better than any Viper ever (and I am a HUGE fan of the RT/10 believe me). And the GTR? Yes it is quick. but what else is it good for? Nothing. And it looks like an elephant sat on the front of it. The Aero 8 is properly fast, immensely comfortable and certainly has my respect. Whilst working at the garage, I spoke to a Morgan owner, who lived in the south of France, and drove all the way to Kent to have it serviced. And still took it racing. The guy who owned the Aero 8 I went in, said he took his racing too, and owned every 360 on track, and was only beaten by the 430s on the straights; but thats only because he had the older one, with the smaller engine. You buy a new one with the 4.8 V8, it will own everything you can throw at it. People don't like them, and I thank them for that. The more people don't buy it, the more exclusive it becomes. By hating it, you make it better. Hows that for logic?
  16. Done half of mine, but didn't have time to finish it. Good theme though IMO!
  17. Christmas = waste of time effort and money. You are lagging my PC - not even the volume control runs smoothly. Its annoying and pointless.
  18. My shot at the mini HighlineDSG posted above. I will add more to it I guess, but here it is for now. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  19. I think we need something like this. Putting some variation into it (stuff other than cars) is needed, but care does need to be taken. Using too obscure images results in a pointless exercise.
  20. Yes it is too late. But PLEASE ENTER!!! Even just tell me you are going to enter, and I'll make sure you get in (so long as you give a picture in) We need as many entries as possible Looking at the voting thread and thinking 'yeah I could do that' isn't what its about! You have to use your imagination and create your own art.

  22. The super-saloon tests seemed perfect except for the fact that perhaps they were a little too short. Adding a third car would have elongated it sufficiently I think. However it featured enough detail, enough powersliding and enough brilliant filming. The IS-F surprised me in the powerlap, because I wasn't expecting such a supposedly fast car to be so slow. The M3 was as expected. The news however was way too short. Not enough, er, news. Good stuff as it was, there wasn't enough of it. And what happened to the V8 stairlift? The SIARPC won't have necessarily been recognised by many non-Brits (as usual - however next week will be a good one), but I found it very good. I love Grand Designs (McCloud's show), and his presenting. And it was very interesting to find out that he is a huge car nut - and a huge fan of V8s, like me! :p An excellently unexpected time too. Pushing Cowell down another notch! And wonderful to see the return of the cool wall! :D The Scirocco - DEFINITELY super cool. And I sort of do agree with Jeremy on the Volvo. The V70 (and the one on the picture which was the R-design, or even an R) is a very nice car. And it is very understated too, which is cool. I wouldn't have put it so far up though. Only verging on sub-zero. However, I disagree completely with the Alfa. It is hideous. Horrible looking thing - you cannot possibly look cool in it. And the comment; 'Would you sleep with him?' 'I have to' really cracked us all up so much. The bus segment was much more on the money. Great way to do it by starting it off seriously (like the other new forms of motorsport), then continuing to piss about causing hilarious consequences. Watching the bendy-buses swing about was truly excellent. However a worthy winner the single-decker was. Finishing off with the Rivera race was a decent ending. Very funny to see them both pulled by the police, but what a car. Irrelevant that it lost, I would still have the car, for the simple reason you can show it to all your mates, go to school/work in it, and be very cool everywhere. Whereas to show the boat to your mates, you have to go on a day-trip down to the harbor, and look like a rich bugger. Beautiful car, too high tech boat. But if you're looking for a huge boat, then that is the one to get. Overall, a very funny show, with plenty of variation and surprises throughout. 9/10.
  23. Wow some amazing photos there. Love the new V8 one!
