  2. Update, if you participate in Knyazev's tool update, you should use it to convert textures and repack with Mini Bnk Manager. The tools will likely to be grouped in a modding package for public release ;)
  3. - Follow instructions into the README file to unpack - Convert textures to DDS with TDUMT 1.16.1 - Edit textures - Convert textures to 2DB back with TDUMT 1.16.1. - Repack as explained into README. Did you encounter tool crashes ? game crashes ?

  6. Yes, headers must be the same (because you won't have to change mipmap count and texture name - those are advanced parameters only). A 'new' header means you don't need the old header from original 2DB file, only need the DDS information to generate a new one. (DDS -> 2DB is rather easy to convert, 2DB -> DDS back is harder need more information, thus can't work in all cases :( ...) So : - to have 100% success, use the 1st method - the 2nd method has to be fixed still to work in all cases, sorry about that.
  7. Yes, please send me the bad bnk file after repacking :) Edit: Now fixed, at least I wasn't able to reproduce the spot issue with the beta 2 in the cooking... (tried with ecd_audi.bnk, ecd_ferr.bnk) btw CommonWorld (Hawaii) issue solved with repacking, as well !

Hi guys and gals :) this weekend was so amazing : great modding news, astonishingly great weather in France for the season, great party with friends ... ... and I haven't had the time to work on Mini Bnk Manager. Please be patient, beta 2 is coming this week : - a few GUI enhancements - fix in extracting CommonWorld file - fix in repacking CommonWorld file And will try to fix TDUMT 1.16.1 libraries once again, because it forces using old DDS>2DB conversion process - which is not very easy to implement in custom apps :) Btw we'll group Knyazev's tool and mine together. For release, basically 2 exe files in a same zip package. ;) Stay tuned !

Hi this is how to use the DDSTo2DB methods - should solve your prob This one is by 'keep original header' DDSTo2DB(string original2DBFile, string sourceDDSFile, string target2DBFile, string newTextureName, int mipmapCount) - original2DBFile : unmodified 2DB file - sourceDDSFile - target2DBFile - newTextureName : null - mipmapCount : GraphicsConverters.KEEP_ORIGINAL_MIPMAP_COUNT This one generates a new header but I haven't had the time to debug it: DDSTo2DB(string sourceDDSFile, string target2DBFile, string newTextureName, int mipmapCount) - sourceDDSFile - target2DBFile - newTextureName : null - mipmapCount : GraphicsConverters.KEEP_ORIGINAL_MIPMAP_COUNT. good luck !

Unfortunately, Fl0w, I think modding attitude of this game was affected by ATARI's lack of professionalism (won't be fixed anyway, we are happy with it, take or drop basically :) ) How many times did I read a lot of good feedback on how to enhance vehicle mods for TDU1... but the author didn't give a <beep> about it. The main thing which made me push TDUMT till 1.16 was very few people wanted to bring quality over quantity ! Always the same stories & debates from 2008 and I stop discussing about it, such getting on my nerves. Btw, I'm going to take my medication after this post :wise:
  11. +rep ! begins to be impressive... on the other hand, there's still a bug to fix in the mini bnk tool before beta 2. Extracted CommonWorld (hawaii) successfully, but repacking still need to be enhanced (big file with plenty of contents). Should be done before monday. So stay tuned and let's buzzzz ! :)

  14. hi 2DB to DDS bug in 1.15+ TDUMT and library was identified and fixed. I will publish TDUMT 1.16.1, along with other bugfixes (but no evolution). Mini Bnk Manager beta 2 is on its way, too :) At least this beta 2 or release candidate will be preferred for releasing first mods. But for now, I'm going to sleep :yawn:

  17. Wow what a bunch of information here ! :eek: Given that I just have a little time left for coding, I'll work on BNK first. So Knyazev, feel free to use TDUMT1 libs, but I 'd prefer fix eventual issue on TDUMT 1.16, so that you can use this one (would be 1.16.1) Just credit me for these libs that's ok.   18. At least noone can reproach me to simply copy and paste this BMS Script into a.net app ... just kidding :D More seriously, I'm aware of this texture convert issue and that will be a major fix for next beta. For the moment I don't understand what's going on there :)
  19. got it and compared. You seem to have everything extracted with QuickBMS (exterior + interior), whereas this TDUMT2 extract is only exterior file. And concerning textures, 2DB files are strictly identical between those 2 methods. So that's not the problem.
  20. Yes cool ! But a A7 Enzo... lol. Sounds like there will be discussion about ethics soon. That kind of change in bad hands should never go online ! Don't know what TDU2 servers will check or not for the moment...
  21. Hi Knyazev Good luck for this Super Universal Launcher ! advice : you could use solutions like SVN to manage your source code :) I can help you if you need as I'm using such a system. XMBF specs are not on the internet, but TBU2 is definetely working on it, very promising as well :) edit : wrong guy here, my mistake...
