Yeah I did try to take it apart while I was in game. The horn was beeping the whole time, but the 360 controller is a pain in the ass to figure out, I didn't see a spring at all on the thumbstick. The whole housing looked soldered on, so I just gave up and put it back together and got the wireless adapter so I could use my wireless controller on my PC. All is well again.

Whatever it is, it would be cool if they had more actual tracks that you could unlock along the way, and drag strips too.

I guess from the aggressive shifting, now my right thumbstick has no spring. I use the 360 controller and have it set up with a clutch and shifter, but now the damn stick just flops around. Time to buy a new one I guess.

One of the links someone gave me shows steps that don't work in Vista. The radial file isn't in the folder they say it was, at least for me. For me, I had to do this: Enable hidden files and OS system files view, open my computer, go to installation drive, go to ProgramData, click TDU folder, and in that folder is the radial file. The other places wanted me to go into appsettings which doesn't work.

I always have problems too, it says the server are available but no one is ever around even though they show on the maps, and if I do find them they have a "=/" next to their names and just sit there.

It's $20, it's not like it's $200. When I would have to borrow money I'd pay it back anyway.

That's my account :) Couldn't find a damn username that wasn't already taken, so I came up with that. The servers just don't work for me, I can't open the chat box or see ANY names on my screen even when I teleport to their locations. Is this a normal occurrence with the game or what, because it's not even possible to play online.

I had big server issues last night, all the cars were stuttering along and half the time they were just sitting there not moving. Like that.

What is your internet connection speed?

I think my McLaren has around 800 miles.

It's not difficult, it only took 5 minutes because it takes so long to select all of the hex values.

I already have the online account working, so yeah.

Ok, well after looking around a bit more I found out the sound issue are fixed when I set my speakers to 2.1 sound... Oddly enough that also took care of the freezing, or so it seems. I'll keep testing, but I mainly want to get my offline profile converted to an online one so I can finally drive around with some people.

Can anyone help me out here? I have Vista 64 and after a certain amount of time, the game kicks me to my desktop and says TDU has stopped responding. I also have sound during the intros, but as soon as the game loads there's no sound. Any ideas? I tried deleting the radial file, reinstalling the game 3 times, and installing older graphics drivers. My sound drivers were just updated.

I'm going to have to try this and finally play it online.

Yes please, playing two different profiles sucks. There has to be a way to get into the save file and just copy the actual important stuff like cars and money...

I didn't make my profile online when I first got the game, and now I'm so far I'm not going to start over. Is there any way to edit the profile and make it MP capable, or at least copy some files into a new account so it is/ MP ready and has my old progress?

http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-8600M-GS.3707.0.html There's some more info on your GPU. I'd say it will play it fine depending on what resolution you have to use.

I don't know, it was like this on my old AMD/ATi system and my new Intel/nVidia system.

Somehow my license got screwed up and I can't play online, and when I uninstall it I never get asked for another serial code. I need to find where it stores the serial data so I can manually delete it and add mine next time the game starts. Someone told me where it was on Vista, but I don't even have the files here in XP. EDIT: Never mind, I finally found it.

Yes, I still see jaggies all over when I enable it in the game. Most other games I play, if I enable 4x AA everything is extremely smooth. I'll take a couple screens. Even 4x through the game looks like garbage, I don't understand why I could never get real smooth pictures on either one of my computer. 4x used to be good from what I remember.
