  3. i have exactly the same error. it worked a while and then suddenly that error
  4. but in TDPE you cannot change the car maker. example: in the list there is bugatti, but the game crashes.
  5. i tried to modify the shape (circular over rectangular) but it doesn't work.
  6. Update: as you see the bodywork is almost complete. i can release it after few days, but i'm very bad with textures. can somebody help me please?

Hi, i'm trying to make textures for the interior, in zmodeler they look alright, pretty bright, but when i start the game (after importing the 2db) they look very dark. even on direct sunlight and without shadows... how can i fix this? and another question: i see on other mods, that there is shadow casting in the interior. i made a D_CAST_I (with low poly interior shell) and there is shadow casting only on the floor of the car, not on the dash, steering wheel ect.   11. yes, i agree it's really a nightmare. even when you change the dampening rate of the shocks, it changes everything. The realistic mod has to be little slower and it will match the real stats. I will make a arcade mod.

  13. NOTE: this is extremely high poly model!!! i bought a mazda model and its a nightmare to reduce the poly count!!! from 500,000 to 20-30,000 :) so beware! :)
  14. nope, i did it!!! finally. every time is accurate (+\- 0.5sec) even 0-330km makes for 1.5km and 22-23sec. In long roads you can reach 400, my top speed for now is 405. i tweaked the handling a bit, there's a slight problem: when i turn in a corner without gas, it turns, but if i press the gas pedal, the front has more grip, than without gas :confused: its really strange, because usually when you accelerate in a corner there's understeer. i tweaked the torque, suspension, no result. i'm releasing now, if someone know how to fix this, tell me, please! If you insist for arcaderer mod i will make it! I will continue work ONLY if you have more requests, suggestions, notes... I think the mod is complete.... .:oook: or is it... :) DOWNLOAD 1.2
  15. yeap, you're right. but i will make 2 versions :) one arcade, one realistic. in the arcade mod i'll make the steering lighter and faster acceleration to the top speed.
  16. hahahaha i cannot belive it :D but the 0-200 and 0-300km times are ruined. and the funny part is that 0-400km is exactly 55sec :D tomorrow i will tune the acceleration and the drag, maybe the handling, so maybe in the evening you can except update. there is annoying understeer at very low speeds, i have to work on it. and yes - leave feedbacks!!!   17. i agree, thats the problem. if the people what to feel realistic, the stats must be modified, not to use the veyrons factory stats. it will reach 407 eventually. and for realistic acceleration times you cannot reach 400, because the roads are too short for that speed. nobody also in the real world cannot reach even 350km on ordinary roads. (there are too many turns and bumps) with 400km\h you cover 111 meters per second, and acceleration 0-400km in 55sec, its almost impossible to find so smooth and straight road. also it has to be even slower to be realistic (0-330km covers 1.6km for 25sec., ingame: 0-330km 1km for 19-20sec. ;) and if i lower the acceleration to match that speed, it will be even harder to reach 400km) SO DECIDE EVERYBODY: TO BE ARCADE OR REALISTIC?

New version 1.1 (see first post) i pasted the new instruction in to the old installer, i'm not 10000% if it will work (by me is fine) the 0-300km is one second faster, because for the top speed you need to tweak the downforce and the drag. more downforce increases the acceleration in high speeds. but then when i make 0-400km in 55sec is impossible to reach it, due to many bumps, and there are not many long stretches in the game. in the next releases i will fix it. Please leave feedbacks, they will improve the mod!!! enjoy!
  19. yes they are true. and the only way to fix it is to increase the drag, and this number will not be accurate http://www.germancarzone.com/bugatti/19418-bugatti-veyron-acceleration-0-320-km-h.html there are also other results. the stupid thing is as i increase the drag i'm receiving the proper times, but it cannot reach 407, 400 even, there is no power. edit: i found the right drag for these times, but have in mind that no stretch in the island is so long for the top speed ;) it will eventually hit 400 (in 55sec), 407 the stretch must be horizontal, without slope
  20. so what it would be? to make it feel realistic, or to be accurate as specification. i think, the games engine will not interpretate the specs realistically.
  21. it can't be. the torque in all 4wd cars is always mainly to the rear wheel, because the front axel can't endure. and it will make it understeer-y and it must be oversteer-y. for example almost all 4wd lamborghinis are 30front 70 back.

(maybe i have to reduce understeer in low speed, and tweak the handling number) i put it more drag to reduce high speed acceleration. otherwise it accelerate for no time to 420 and it hits the rev limiter, and you drive like that :). in the real world you barely reach 407 (due lack of HP) i think i must increase it even more.
