  1. I think you entered this in PhOTW when we had a Technology theme, not 100% but I've seen it before somewhere I'm sure. Tis a really nice shot though :) I have quite a few plane photos but they aren't very good, taken with my old camera. Will have a gander soon.
  2. I've had United for longer than I remember, got the free Forever patch and I've made my fair share of tracks on the game. It's alot of fun. Haven't played it in over a year though :P
  3. Meerkats are hilariously awesome.
  4. I have the S1500 and it's fantastic (guessing the two cameras are very similar). It's not a pure DSLR but it has all the features I want and isn't going to break the bank ;)

  6. Chester's not too far from where I'm going :p tis closer to me than home will be anyway. I'm going to Stafford to do Games Concept Design.
  7. Gorgeous photo  This is what my parents bought me when I passed my test last week (comedians eh? :p)
  8. Nice one mate, I'm also off to Uni next month, despite a minor issue with my Uni not getting any of my results -_- A few phone calls later and I think I'm good, I exceeded my offer by 140 Ucas points so I'm hoping it should be fine when they let me know. For those who care I got A in Applied ICT, B in Maths and Double Merit in Art and Design :) You will have a blast at uni, went up to my future uni (Staffordshire) for a few days on a residential, was awesome :)
  9. I only know this song through Borderlands :o Tis quite catchy though
  10. Pretty much this. People kill people in computer games all the time, what does it matter where they're from. Besides, there is no 'good' team in real life war. I suppose it has come at a bad time though seeing as the number of Nato and US casualties have been escalating in Afghanistan lately. No doubt if I knew someone who had been affected I would feel differently.
  11. Mesh computers are indeed very good, bear in mind the Hard Drive I got with my PC was some budget piece of rubbish which you probably won't get with the newer Mesh models (got mine a couple of years ago). Basically the HDD went after a few months and it took them a while to sort it out, mainly thanks to the poor customer support, basically the bloke on the other end of the phone didn't have a clue what he was on about, so don't let that reflect on the company. I'd recommend Mesh, but as other people have said building your own PC would be a tad cheaper...but with your budget, does that really matter?
  12. Well I splashed out and got the Samsung :) Seems great as expected, came with a huge amount of bloatware (also as expected), 50 installed programs and almost 80 processes running so I had to spent a silly amount of time getting rid of all the useless rubbish. Also have an issue where the screen popup telling you volume levels/brightness etc has stopped working so I cant change either of those things using the shortcuts but I can live with that. Other than that it seems great, runs Audiosurf better than my desktop, but runs Oblivion slightly slower. Not hugely bothered though, doubt I'll be playing a massive amount of games at uni. I would try some newer games but the Steam Backup I did won't work, keeps telling me to "Insert Disk 2" halfway through which makes zero sense as I backed up the 40gb of games onto my external hard drive. Anyway, here's some rubbish pictures: http://i403.photobucket.com/albums/pp117/mistermojo28/DSCF0658.jpg http://i403.photobucket.com/albums/pp117/mistermojo28/DSCF0659.jpg
  13. Ready Steady Go has gotta be one of the best driving songs... and Muse are just plain epic whenever you listen to them :D Other than that I'd probably play some Pendulum or Rage Against The Machine if I wanted to have a fun drive, or some Red Hot Chili Peppers for general cruising around
  14. A photo I took tweaked in photoshop: http://i403.photobucket.com/albums/pp117/mistermojo28/desktop-2.jpg?t=1281442351
  15. Thinking of getting this now, although I'm taking all of your suggestions into consideration, my shortlist of laptops is taking up most of my bookmark space now :p Seems to get mainly good reviews, the only negatives that have been pointed out are: - Blu-Ray image quality isn't great (don't even care, didn't even know it could do Blu-Ray until I read the reviews) - Sound is tacky (taking my speakers anyway) - Battery Life is pretty awful (The only thing that slightly bothers me. Although there are lots of settings to help increase the normal 169 minutes)
  16. Yeah I'm not sure about the Dell anymore, I went down to Imagitec this morning and the guy there reckons I shouldn't go near Dell or HP with a barge pole as most of the repairs they do are on those two makes as they often have faults. He reckoned Acer were a pretty safe bet so I'll have a look around.
  17. MADDOG actually found a really nice Dell which is better spec than I was after, and under budget. It's 15" but I've just found out that 17" laptops are usually around 42cm wide which is a tad big... Here =) Quite tempting I must say
  18. I'll be careful :p Not gonna spend my whole time at uni locked in my room playing games so hopefully I'm not gonna run it into the ground that quickly :) Besides, if the worst happens everything will be backed up on my external hard drive and my memory stick, and there's so many high spec computers at uni I should be able to get the work done without too much hassle
  19. I was planning to do this originally but I've had my PC a couple of years now, gamed on it quite alot. Sooner or later the CPU will give up (overclocked it in the past). I would be a hassle to take everything up there, especially on the train, only to find it breaks after another year and the cost of replacing it while at uni would probably be more than I could afford :( Plus I have a secret pet hate of Netbooks :p
  20. I don't actually have the money yet, the money is sourced from about £150-200 in my account, my savings for university, and the money I get from the desktop. So it's not a definite amount of money to spend, I just want to keep the cost as low as possible while still being a decent laptop.
  21. Alienware do look very overpriced. For £750 you only get a 1.3Ghz Pentium :( Jazzi, the one you suggested does look nice, the graphics is a bit of a worry though. I've used that site in the past, might give it a whirl myself :) Ninja'd, twice
