  1. if the wing was down lower to the car like on the Diablo SV, then this car would be perfect :D
  2. First off, make sure that all the connections are good and tight at the wheel module. I have had a few issues with the G25 (like dropping out of 5th and 6th gear) before that just turned out to be loose connections. Also, if you do wind up going to Logitech for warranty work, all the info that will be required is on the bottom of the wheel module, near the connectors.
  3. if those are US currency symbols, then that person has 200 cents, better know around here as 2 dollars :/
  4. I hope not. I can barely keep vehicles on the road in "normal" mode in TDU. of course, if the roads are a bit smoother so the car can actually maintain some grip when driving around, then it might not be so bad.
  5. its not really a mod, just a program that someone was going to see if it could be used to mod TDU with MUCH better textures.
  6. that's because for most the low-poly roads in that area are too rough to have a good time driving over them. I like running the mountain roads more than just about anything, but only when I know I can crest hills and apex corners without having to worry about some random polygon sending my car flying.
  7. Tach only goes up to 7000rpm, so it's probably something with a relatively large motor (like a big V8), more than likely American, unless anyone knows of a European or Japanese vehicle that redlines at only 6500rpm. Convertible or roadster, only 2 seats. And that center console looks kinda familiar. I'll take some looks at the cars already in TDU and see if they match, but the possible identity of that car escapes me.
  8. Like as traffic cars? cause I think having them for driving around would be a little too weird.
  9. with the fuel consumption bit, I dunno how that would work out, since some of the cars that are favorites in the game run out of fuel so fast when driven hard. Case in point: the Mercedes SLR McLaren will empty a full fuel tank in 17 minutes at full throttle. That would make really long races (like Tour of the Island) really interesting, since I don't remember seeing a single gas station during most of the races.
  10. because then if they cancel it no one will be disappointed
  11. mmmm. good news in the fact that there is a good chance TDU 2 is in development, but don't I remember people complaining about the poor quality of some of the models in the game? maybe those were the ones not done by RABCAT, I dunno. Anyone care to enlighten me?
  12. :O that looks fantastic! here's hoping that most of this stuff makes it to the game, as well as a few of the Japanese supercars (Supra, NSX, RX7, etc) and more japanese superbikes (Hayabusa, CBR, etc) as well! Hopefully the on-road/off-road is split roughly 50/50, with the street cars handling better on the streets and the off-roaders handling better off-road, rather than off-roaders having the advantage in handling everywhere if there were off-road vehicles in TDU 1 (you all know you've thought that when hitting those unnaturally rough roads :wtf: ) Addendum: I just noticed that in the rain pic, the Camaro doesn't have it's lights on, but all the others do. weird.
  13. looks good but I have a question; why did you replace the Edonis logo with another Pagani logo?(for a total of 2 Pagani logos)
  14. From what I have read, the demo version is just the full version with vehicle, race/challenge, and time limits put in place. It definitely looks fantastic on my computer. If not for the stupid time limit (which after you unlock 3 cars and finish 3 races is about 90 seconds), I would be just goofing around in the game world right now.
  15. the G25 mapping doesn't worry me too much. Burnout is very much an arcade racer and I plan on using the keyboard exclusively to control it. The lack of manual shifting is a bit annoying, but I can deal with it (in the demo it seemed that the cars would just keep shifting anyway. I think I counted 15 shifts down a very long downhill straight ) I really liked the demo alot (darn the time restraints!), it was just the controls bit that I was worried about. Looks like Burnout just made it to my "Games to get" list! :D
  16. Anyone have this game? I have the demo, and it seems like it would be a game I would be interested in, but I want to know something about it before I plunk down the cash to buy the game. Can you remap the controls? The whole A for accelerate, Z for brake, arrow keys for steering, etc... doesn't really work for me. Not to mention that it hurts my hands.
  17. news page is working again (at least for me). Also, did anyone notice the cruise ship in the graphic on the left hand side of the page? Looks like the setting for whatever game they have that page centered around is going to be another popular tourist spot. Maybe all the Hawaiian islands? I second the belief that the image next to the car is a bush instead of a map though. That model in the pic looks really nice to me as well. The "black bits on the hood" that Maple mentions look like reflections of trees or shadows to me. All I know is that I sure hope this is news about a new TDU because I have been looking for a good non-sim racing game since NFS took a turn for the worse.
  18. V8 baby! From a technical standpoint, the only engine more efficient than a V8 is an inline 6 mounted on a slant, but a V8 sounds much better in my opinion :D
  19. Stage 6 Motorsports Ford GTTT 1000+hp http://www.imvfilms.com/joesgttt.php
  20. heh, maybe the black and white stig will charge each other to fight, collide, and BOOM! grey (gray) stig!
  21. that rear end has alot of camo/disguise on it, so either they changed it alot or they just don't want anyone to know that the "face lift" was moving the emblem to the left 3 inches . looks like the roof has some camo on it too, so maybe the sheet metal there was modified as well.
  22. I think he was talking about how a stage 3 CCR can do 270mph in TDU
  23. hate to break it to ya buddy, but the Moller M400 Skycar is well over 10 years old, and in the entire life of the project they have only gotten it to do that hovering bit in the vid you posted, and even then only with a safety tether. To date Moller has only built one M400, the prototype.
  24. 237. Cars that everywhere else in the world produce enough aerodynamic down force to keep them in contact with an inverted road surface slide around like on glass-smooth ice in Hawaii. 238. Big-block V8s sound just like four cylinders. 239. Driving close to the center line is an invitation for oncoming traffic to swerve to hit you. 240. Grassy mountains can be smoother than paved roads. 241. Superchargers and Turbochargers spooling up sound exactly the same. 242. Cruise ships and cargo ships sail in circles around the island, but personal watercraft are always docked, beached, or otherwise stationary. 243. You can make better engine noises than your car with your mouth and a cardboard tube. 244. People who own houses that you don't drive through the gate to get to it rather than opening the gate. 245. The Dodge Viper idles at 2000rpm, and the engine is dead at 1000rpm. The zero on the tach is simply for decoration. 246. Really fast vehicles spin the needles on their speedometers like the wheel on "Wheel of Fortune". 247. It is impossible to choose the transmission for your car. (control options excluded. I'm talking how you can only get some cars with flappy paddles when they are also offered with a H-gate style shifter. or only auto transmissions when they are also offered with H-gate.) 248. In Hawaii, cars with high mileage sell for more than cars with low mileage. 249. Gas is always $1.34 at the 7 gas stations in Hawaii. 250. Holding the engine at 4000rpm and engaging the clutch without flooring the gas will kill the engine.
  25. I have both the original and a slightly modded version I can send you. the slightly modded version basically just has the gauges lit up with a soft blue light. let me know which one you want.
