  1. The dials are included with Skepsis's stock Nissan GTR sound.
  2. The new layout of the dealers in 1.67 puts the stage 1 Saleens in a new slot, which reverts them to level zero. They are still the same performance as stage 1, they just don't have the designation. When you then tune them to stage 2, they are the same performance as stage 3 was in 1.66. The Saleens were put in their own new slot to eliminate the wheel size bug that was common in 1.66; same with the Nismo 350Z. The performance is still the same on those cars, the stages are just one number lower.
  3. Signed! This track is too legendary to allow to be torn apart by annoyed seniors!
  4. drive in the hills, when you start hitting invisible polygons that throw your car in the air you'll see that TDU has plenty of uneven roads.
  5. Any progress? I'm really excited for this mod.
  6. Maybe it's detachable so you can use it as a bludgeon if someone tries to car-jack you
  7. Looks more like the Altima than the Maxima
  8. True, and until I hear what the full context is (since the videos don't show much else than the player shooting civilians) I'm going to save my money for other things. Who knows, maybe its a sequence that you really can't do anything other than watch from first person mode (like when you were the middle-eastern president in COD4).
  9. Those were security personnel at the end
  10. Hey I came upon this as I was browsing some game sites: http://www.mapmodnews.com/article.php/Forced-kil-civilians-Modern-Warfare-2 Looks like the "Most anticipated game of 2009" might just fall flat to "average release" only a few days before release. Apparently Activision has been scrambling to get vids of this leaked footage deleted off of as many sites as they find it on. I don't blame them for wanting to get rid of anything that would cause all those record-breaking preorders to vanish into thin air (mine and many of my friends have already been canceled because of this), but I do blame them for allowing such a scene to be mandatory in a game. Yes I realize that killing civilians has been in other games before, but in any of those games, was it mandatory? To the best of my recollection, it wasn't.
  11. Metaseuoia... is that another 3d modeling program that is capable of working with TDU models?
  12. Yeah, I would like to see this car too. So much so that I made a request of it about a month ago: http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=13221 Unfortunately since most of the modders here just convert existing models, there is very little chance that a GTM will find it's way into TDU.
  13. 552hp and only 354lb-ft of torque.... yet another vehicle in the long line of rev-happy supercars. $375,000 puts it where? in with the F430, Gallardo, 599 and 612? I'm sorry, but I think someone would have to really love paying exorbitant amounts of money for a Toyota to get this car. I guess we'll really see though when Top Gear gets a hold of one of these.
  14. If the matchmaking (same rank/ping/etc) is as "good" as that in Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, then you don't need to worry, since there really isn't any filtering whatsoever. As far as the no mods thing, my entire opinion can be summed up with the word "meh". I didn't play any modded servers in COD4 until just recently, and even then it wasn't that exciting as far as I was concerned. I really do wish that they would re-enable dedicated servers though. My gaming clan was going to make MW2 their next official game, but without the ability to make a dedicated server it looks like we are going to be official-less for a while longer :(
  15. I was just thinking about requesting this car! IMO it looks much better than the M400, but would probably be a perfect replacement for it.
  16. It really doesn't look much like something that would actually roll off of the Porsche assembly line. But I guess the Carrera GT didn't at the time either...
  17. well it's still a WIP so there may not be any pics yet. Just curious though what years were the JZA70 Supras?
  18. The F40 was only made tunable because the performance info was already there.
  19. Cadillacs and Lincolns. And always blacked out.
  20. you need to have community patch 1.67d installed to run this, and 1.67 requires the megapack.
  21. From the side it looks a bit like a Nissan GTR with a bit of the front end hacked off to make it more angular. Honestly, I'd like to see a toned-down version of the styling. This concept styling just looks a little....off. And that interior? :wtf: But when the production version comes out, I wonder how long it will take for someone to figure out how to transplant a 2JZ into it :D
  22. Fuel economy and emissions are very different. The emissions issue is that a GT-R that is R34 and older doesn't have a catalytic converter (mandated on all cars sold in U.S. after model year 1975) and evaporative emissions systems while applying to OBD-I (after m.y. 1986) or OBD-II (after m.y. 1995) standards, which are federally mandated to be on all road-going cars sold in the U.S. R34s (and older) can be legally imported into the U.S., they just can't be driven anywhere other than at a race track without having those emissions systems installed. And that's where the problem lies, as it is easy to install a catalytic converter, but not so easy to install the other emissions systems. And what's worse is that cars that are retro fitted with emissions systems have to be fitted with the most modern systems, so there have to be pre and post-cat lamda (O2) sensors, evap systems, EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) systems, etc; and when all these systems are installed the vehicle has to meet California emissions standards (the strictest in the U.S.) The safety standards are another hurdle, since the DOT requires that vehicles sold in the U.S. be tested on (I believe) 27 different types of crashes. This means that a minimum of 27 vehicles have to be crashed for testing purposes. And all those vehicles have to be nearly identically equipped when it comes to drivetrains (diff engines or transmissions = same tests, AWD vs RWD= diff tests, 2 door vs 4 door= diff tests). That's all not necessary if the manufacturer does these tests (meeting DOT standards) in their own labs, but anything not DOT approved has to be tested by the DOT before it can be legally imported as a road going car into the U.S.(and we all know how fast gov't branches gets things done).
  23. could we at least have a little progress report? please?
  24. Isn't the Nano classified as a quadbike, since it doesn't meet any safety standards whatsoever? Whats sad though is that Jaguar and Land Rover are now owned by Tato. I can only imagine what sacrilege will happen to those brands now.
  25. I think they mean how to compete in a race using any car, not competing against.
