  1. update your graphics drivers, it seems as though the driver has a small bug in it. I used to get it in GTR:Evo/other SimBin games. Updated drivers and the problem went away.
  2. Try reinstalling the megapack. If you can't physically purchase the cars, perhaps a database string hasn't written properly. Just reinstall and it should go away.
  3. PC for gaming and daily usage. Laptop for the overnight downloads
  4. *collapses. Nice shoots mate. Look pretty decent :p
  5. OMG. I hate this. I was watching Knight Rider last night, and that exact car was on it!
  6. Ja und nein, meine freunde. I think it would benefit the cleanliness of the forum, yeah. But on the other hand, Iced may moan that there are too many sections (Just kidding mate :p) I'd say go for it. It can't any harm, can it?
  7. Kurgan. Just to let you know incase you didn't already know... Even with the magic map, there are still size limitations. To me, it looks like if you put that model into TDU now, the game'll crash. As I said, just to let you know.
  8. Great news. Fingers are crossed for you! I had that error on FEAR 1's disk. Had to throw mine away :(
  9. Probably due to the drivers being in beta. Vista was epically slow when it first came out.

    Yo

Hi there, Welcome to the mental hospital that is TDU:C! Enjoy your daily dosage of FAIL, WIN and Safiro. As I said on the chatbox last night/this morning... You may have installed the game wrong or have an illegal version of the game.
  11. HDR, or High Dynamic Range, improves the lighting effects of the game. You get gleaming bodywork on cars (it sort of glows slightly) and the shadows/lighing angles are more emphasised. Takes a small hit on FrameRate, but your 9800GT should be able to cope just fine.
  12. I wonder why it's done that... I'll have a browse around, see if I can get it going.
  13. use the command prompt to run a chkdsk Goto Start/Run (if on XP) or Goto Start then type in "run" then hit enter (if on Vista/Windows 7) Type "cmd" (without the quotes) Type "chkdsk" (again, without the quotes) Wait for it to complete Post whatever it says here, or if it's too long - PM it to myself/anyone else who asks for it.
  14. I, personally, would not want to trawl through endless pages of threads just to find that ETS mod I always wanted (using ETS as an example) Would you like to crawl through 100+ pages of PC gaming-related threads and then give up as it has a different thread name than you first thought? I know I wouldn't. Having more sub-forums means the place is organised and everything has it's place. What are the consequences of having more sub-forums? Only two come to mind. 1) A few more KB's on the server. 2) A few seconds more to get to the sub-forum you want to get to. Diablo/Baldy (I forget who it was!) Spent a lot of time organising the forum to be more user friendly and I think we should all applaud the work and effort of that man. Just two rhetorical questions for you to consider, mate. How many requests were posted in threads before the sort-out? How many requests are posted in the incorrect forum after the sort-out? That's my perspective on things, at least. Evidently yours is on the other end of the spectrum. ~Sponge
  15. A reinstall should've fixed that. Try uninstalling again, then deleting the TestDriveUnlimited folder in ..\Program Files\Atari\ Then reinstall. If the same problem persists, take a look at the disk, as it may be scratched.
  16. Yeah, even if he did hit the truck, the worst he would have done is sprained his wrist. Wasn't that fast...around 20mph I would say. He also locked his rear wheel! Scary stuff, I tell ye
  17. Try your best to remove the scratches from the disk. (Does it come up with something like "Cyclic error" or something like that?)
  18. Sorry Angelina... I didn't read the replies! HERE is the original image (note it's a dual monitor wallpaper, and it doesn't look too good when resized!)
  19. I'm with Mark on the SLR. I think it's quite striking. I do believe it looks more aggressive than the stock SLR.
  20. I've learnt through a rather dozy friend of mine one key rule. If you're not sure, don't. If you OC your machine, and something goes wrong... You're screwed. OC'ing will give almost minimal results if you don't know what you're doing well enough. Some chips can go sky high on stock coolers (Such as the i7's) whereas some will just get too hot (take a look at the first post. 79*c on idle is damn right dangerous) Seriously, though. I wouldn't bother with OC'ing if I were in your current position.
  21. Oh that poor, poor car :(
