You can edit the stats in notepad, although it won't actually make the car have X BHP, just show that it does on the stats page. IE You can make an Audi A3 have 1,100 BHP on paper, but it will still have the stock power ingame... If that makes sense.

Well, in a strange way, I'm hoping it is an "expansion" for TDU1, primarily because TDU works. You see all of these new released games. They very seldom work first time. Plus, with it (hoping to be) an expansion, it means the game shouldn't be £35+ Although...Those who don't have TDU1 are pretty stuck. So yeah. Perhaps it won't be an expansion...Ignore everything I've said ;) -
(most) smart players would not want their savegame to go online. Primarily because it contains their binded CDKey references. So to partly answer your question: Yes, it does disable the ability. But no, it doesn't permanently, only if you're using a Genuine CDKey and have an online account active.

The patch would be bad in my opinion, Atari don't condone modding. but they're turning a blind eye to us, which is very nice of them. So I strongly doubt they will even consider patching/fixing anything to do with TDU1 until TDU2 is in the mainstream. Also, a performance enhancing patch is not going to be good. I wouldn't want to see a GT500 pass me at 200mph, nor would I want people to mod the car's performance, as there will ALWAYS be someone who hacks it.

Hypercam does a decent job. I presume you mean screenrecording when on the desktop? Otherwise, i'd recommend xfire, too. Unlimited duration, epic quality.

Say someone dominates the first half of the season. If he wins all the races in the first half of the season, he can just sit back in his hotel and enjoy the rest of the season from his living room. Whereas even if some other driver comes second all the time, and then clinches first, points will make the 2nd driver the winner. (if that doesn't make sense, I'm sorry) -
