Sounds like basic bugs to me, probably nothing you can do about it and just wait for a patch if they release one. The second one sounds like something that happened on the beta quite alot. Usually a restart fixed that.

Does it matter..? Really, does it? Its just a small little detail. Most of the time you'll be in interior view driving, not looking at the the inaccuracies of a car. Enjoy the game, don't pick out its flaws.

Yeah, the website isn't very accurate to be honest. It says my laptop can run the Sims 3 flawlessly but it can hardly run it on minimum. Best thing to do is wait for the game to come out and test it out. If you're happy with it, then good. If now, you can upgrade your graphics card.
