  1. Aren't those actually cars made for the original TDU? Logo, box art and other notes above certainly are.... Some cars are too recent to be for TDU1 though...
  2. No1 can buy the club exclusive car. U can only borrow it for a ride. At first, 2 members couldn't drive it simultaneously, but that has been changed, luckily. I will probably get Esprit.
  3. Thanks for this! So I see, no more drifting with wheels....or maybe now the REAL drfters will come up. I certainly won't be one of them :D
  4. Check this out! Handling now looks quite ok to me. Sorry for the opened thread with the same video, I was a bit overexcited at the moment...:D
  5. Dunno, he never said that. Now I've realized what he said: " This force feed back is powered by the wheel itself, not by the game..." Oh dear, that's not good...
  6. Check this out! Handling now looks quite ok to me.
  7. The sounds are better not only in cut-scenes, but in the garage too, when u sit and turn on the engine. I don't understand what's the problem. If they've made the correct sample for the garage, why couldn't they use it for the gameplay? Intro is really kinda great, a dream joke was nice, good start. To hell with handling, if everything else will be fine, that's ok with me....for start :cheeky:
  8. I don't get it what 10 minutes? It lasts only 4 minutes and 37 seconds. And it's not continuous gameplay but some random scenes motage. And it doesn't spoil anything....am I watching the right video? EDIT: oh sorry I got it now....
  9. It's pretty tight actually. :D He owns over 200 vehicles, but only about half of them are cars. I'd say they're even...:cheeky:
  10. Hey I see ur point but this is not a matter of reality any more. U know we used to have some cruises together and remember what we used to do on winding parts of the route? We loved casual drifting. Now, with this handle model, any kind of drifting is completely impossible. In a word, all fun has gone. The fun of trying to stay on the road, to calm the rear end down, to catch the last grip in the corner. Now, driving looks like this: Grip, more grip, even more grip and suddenly everything goes to hell and there's no way u can save ur car from spinning. No fun at all. Hope they tweaked that meanwhile.
  11. It can't be worse than driving a Saleen S7 in TDU hard core, could it?!
  12. ....basically, more or less every car wants that from a driver. What driver can get from a car beyond that, is complete different story ;)
  13. No, bikes DLC should be free, 'cause the only reason they are not in from the start is the lack of time....they want them to be perfect :cheeky: personally I'm not bothered with bikes, they can't be driven with the wheel anyway...
  14. Yeah the handling is great, when using xbox controller or a gamepad. But what's with us, poor wheel users? Neglecting the steering wheels support is a very bad decision for a driving game developer. Hope they'll change their minds in the close future. The main problem with this game is that TDU1 set the standards too high. In its time, it was well in front of its rivals, it was a small revolution, a genre of its own. Now, the situation is a bit different, people want something more, much better, an evolution of the revolution, but considering where Eden and Atari stand today, it's quite hard goal to be achieved. I'm convinced they're trying as hard as they can, but we should lower our expectations a bit, don't u think? It's just temporarily...:cheeky:
  15. wow I didn't know Dusty is such a huge Lambo fan. Personally, I'm much more disappointed with the fact that Mazers are also out. I can't believe they became too expensive also. What the hell is goin' on with this people from the car industry?! Have they really become so greedy (read desperate)?!? Unfortunately, I can't consider canceling my pre-order (not saying I'd do that), I've already payed it. But it would be so sad to see it laying on the shelve collecting dust together with some other mediocre games... lol they're not mental, they're just pretty broke....
  16. I highly doubt that the retail version already leaked, so I believe the guy somehow indirectly got it from a source close to Atari or Eden...I expect the leaked version will be ready for download pretty soon though. :oook:
  17. Nope ur right, originals got 5 arms, these are 7 arms rims...and ugly...
  18. Hm, I think u mixed up the goal of an individual with goal of a business company. Company doesn't care about the amount of work of each employee, all they care is the optimal input-profit ratio. There are lots of ways to achieve this but none of these includes working as little as possible. With a little work, they won't have a quality and competitive product in the market and that's for sure. U may better put it this way. 'Work as hard as u can, for the lowest wages which is 'barely' enough to keep u working...' :D
  19. I think POSTER is just a POSER and he won't tell us anything. Whatever the source is, I highly doubt it'a legal one so it doesn't matter anyway. Driving school video doesn't look very impressive regarding the physics either, so not much droolin' here... oh btw how is it possible to take a drifting photo with this crappy photo mode? Is this the first sign they actually had this fixed?
  20. Just another one in rather long list of compromises they've made with this game. IMO there are too many of them. They should put the whole team which had been working on Casino to develop the wipers for all cars. There's no such a thing as too many problems, only too few working on them :oook:
  21. It seems that Atari, nor Eden, does not learn from their own experience and old mistakes they've made with the first TDU. Noone twisted their arm to make this announcement. Or maybe someone did?! :oook:;)
  22. This is quite sad. After first glorious TDU, still alive and kicking after 4 full years, the sequel is maybe doomed to premature death, just because Atari gave a bit too much of importance to DLCs. For now, too much cars from the first game (car pack not included) are missing now. I loved Maseratis so much, now they're gone. The same with Lambos. I loved F1s, Nobles, Farboud, Skyline, Corvettes, DB4 Zagato, 288GTO was my favorite Ferrari, loved those muscles Stingray, old Camaro, Firebird...the list just goes on... Instead, we got 5 Veyrons, MiTo, Atom, Ginetta, Gumpert, Hummers and a few other 4x4s and those silly two, 2CV and the Beetle. I have a feeling these are not enough. Nothing can compensate the loss of Masers...;)
  23. Now u said the ultimate truth. All those issues are caused by the lack of money. I know there's a thing called recession still alive out there, I know Atari corporation had been through some turbulences and everything is reflected on the final product. And I'm so sorry about that. But I've already payed the full price of the game and I have every right to be unsatisfied. I hope they'll prove me wrong in a few months time though...
  24. Oh so we have to be grateful that Ferrari is still in? Is that what ur implying? The old TDU had both, better handling (for now), much better graphics comparing to its direct rivals, in a word, it was in the Premier League of games in it's time. Now, it's successor seems to be barely at the bottom of the today's games list, based on many things. The cars list is only a last drop... U know, my €50 worth pretty much the same as 4 years ago so I expect to get at least the product on similar level as before. They have earned big credits with the first game and many people who pre-ordered TDU2 have already given their money. U have to understand their disappointment with everything.
  25. Have u guys already seen this? LOOL is this hilarious or what? :chewy: wow, looks really like a sim....sort of...:D
