Sound problem?

Hey guys,

 

As some of you may know, I've recently got a new PC. I'm using a 32 inch HDTV as a screen and because of that I have some problems. I also own some 2.1 speakers so I thought I could play sound through the TV integrated speakers and my 2.1 speakers.

 

I connect through my screen through HDMI and the 2.1 speakers connect through the green 3.5mm jack at the back of the PC. When I play sound, it only comes out of the TV speakers and not the 2.1 speakers. I've looked at the default devices and when I set the default device to the TV speakers, they work fine. But when I set the default device to the 2.1 speakers, I don't get any sound.

 

If you've understood me so far, how can I play sound through the TV speakers and the 2.1 speakers?

I'm not sure if you can. I think it might be one or the other.
