Help!! (data1.cab error)

Hi all,

I haven't been around for some time, but im back once again :D

Sadly however, TDU is not playing ball. I tried installing it the other day (after reformatting my computer) only to find that I get an error to do with CRC and data1.cab. My disc is scratched a bit sadly, so I'm guessing I will just have to buy another copy of the game and use my current cd-key. However, if anyone has any ideas as to how I can solve this annoying issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Try your best to remove the scratches from the disk. (Does it come up with something like "Cyclic error" or something like that?)

You can buy CD cleaning kits, or use a mild abrasive like toothpaste or t-cut. But try cleaning it with soap and water first.

Tried all that and all it managed to do was bring the scratch out further. Ah well, its only $15 for a new disc.

 

E: Yeah sponge it comes up with CRC or Cyclic Redundency Check error or something like that

New Copy arrived today :D now I'm just hoping it works lol.

I had that error on FEAR 1's disk. Had to throw mine away :(
