I was thinking, that you guys (or me) could record/download clips like that and cut them to right size and make new sounds. That would be :cool: if it works!

You need 7 maybe even 8 different sound pitches in the same environment to get a good soundmod out of it.

hi,

i'm still working on a great mod for tdu.

i'm making the mazda mx 5 with origin sounds, because my dad drives a mx 5 i can record the sound of it

(2 of the 8 sounds in tdu are finished)

You only need 4 sounds for each type of view (outside and inside), Idle, Low RPM, Medium RPM, and High RPM.

Theres 8 sounds there.

Then there is off throttle sounds, which is 3 sounds for each type of view, Low RPM, Medium RPM, and High RPM.

and 6 sounds there.

 

Total of 14 Sounds.

 

Reality: These days off throttle sounds can use an edited version of on throttle sounds. (Use filters.. der) so if you know your basics or can follow tutorials of your general sound editing program you will only need 8 sounds recorded.

If your really decent at using your sound editing programs then this can be cut into 4 sounds.

 

Keep in mind make the samples sizes (in length) of the cars RPM the same as the car you want to replace them with.

I don't think it can get any worse then the Skyline GTR R34 in TDU.

It doesn't even sound like an RB##DETT AND it is really low volume.

 

If you browse around on specific car makes forums eg: nissanforums.blahblah

there is usually always some decent sound samples that someone has uploaded.
