yeah basically what ryzza have said, the physics feel very artificial I mean I like a good arcade physics engine but this one is just plain weird. I've played the 2nd beta with the wheel that was OK needed some improvements in terms of FFB and overall support, played the 3rd beta on gamepad it was just awful. Let me clarify one thing why we keep going on and on about TDU's driving feel here. It offered 2 modes (not aids) one for more hardcore drivers and one for more casual ones. I mean you can't go wrong with that. I don't know why driving games keep going on about this mixed type of arcade and sim physics. You just end up with a mess most of the time.

not likely at all, I did read an article that mathematically formulated the possibility of interstellar travel by a famous astrophysicist and it basically points out there's not enough time for the technology to reach that level. I'll try to find that. --- Post Updated --- edit : Bad News: Interstellar Travel May Remain in Science Fiction ok so couple more things, for us to reach the nearest star to our own solar system Proxima Centauri (4.2 light years away and has no planetery system) it would take us 19.000 years if we were to go at the speed of fastest man-made object to this date. Even if we managed to go at the speed of light which is the limit to how fast you can travel in space it would require a habitat that must be sustained for at least 4.2 years in interstellar space which is filled with radiation, asteroids and many more obsticles. That is certainly not happening any time soon at least. -

you don't have to worry about it, you know nothingness better than what's like being alive. As neil degrasse tyson pointed out we weren't even around to ask these questions for the 99.9999% of the cosmic history. I'll comment on these death of universe and earth discussions. First of all our solar system will be long gone before any of the predicted theories on death of the universe even begin to happen. Sun will become a red giant in around 5.4 billion years, that means it'll get as big as the inner solar system (sun to mars) but the earth will be long gone before that process, and human species will be long gone before earth is destroyed (We're actually on the verge of 6th mass extinction cycle on earth). The heat death of the universe as Andrez posted is just one of the theories that could happen as it's pretty hard to simulate billions of years we'll get there soon enough though. -

very nice thread I like it :D I'll leave this here could be a little off-topic but it is somewhat related. -
is that really a thing though? does the average audience for driving games really look for a story? I never got the appeal of a driving game with scenerio. There are many ways you can differentiate yourself but I don't think story is one of them. It actually ruins the experience in the crew's case.

bit off topic but I'll rant here anyway I think the crew took a really wrong direction with its overall game design. They wanted to give this crime-thriller story driven vibe into the game and same goes for customization decisions. I couldn't care less about a this or that spec of a car as I'll probably use all of them stock. I guess I'm just alone at that. It would've been much better if this story crap didn't affect the gameplay unlike in TDU where you can buy houses, see all of your cars in that garage, go to actual car dealers and tuners to purchase things instead of going to a dodgy shed with lots of effects in it. I'm annoyed by all that but I guess it's just me and all in all it doesn't matter I guess

but think of it like this, if it had all those car packs in the full retail version would the game worth $80? I BET those car packs are already prepared and polished and they would have what 4-5 cars each lets say 20 at most, I suspect it'll still be less than what TDU, a 7 year old game had, and they're making you wait for it at your expense. For the bigger titles in the industry the life cycle of the games are pretty much the same. Cut down version of the full game in the retail stores then a nice marketing campaign to making people believe that they'll continue supporting the game but in truth they're just releasing the cut pieces that should've been in the retail version anyway. Nobody cares about what community asks after the release, the update content is already set way back while developing the game.

yeah I was expecting nothing more from ubisoft. They're just another publisher with no dignity whatsoever. Certainly not our fault that we keep buying this dlc crap because it's there. This exploit will continue unless there are more publishers like rockstar games. I seriously think there is a cartel between EA, Activision and now Ubisoft. They can getaway with releasing half a game for the full price and lets be honest if all the alternatives are doing the same scam what are you going to do about it?

First of all it took me a good 2 hours just to get it working. It's not very user friendly nor it has great customer support. I figured out how to get it working via user forums. You'll have to download a software then download a plug-in within the software, figure out layouts and buttons, install 'scripts'. Once you saved your setups you'll basically have to do this each time you want to use the wheel. Like I have predicted it basically makes the wheel seem like a controller to XB1. That means no force feedback. I was able to get a basic FFB effect with turning central spring force via Logitech Profiler. There are software updates, they seem to release these 'gamepacks' and 'scripts' as they go along. In terms of deadzone, input lag, sensitivity it is quite good. A lot better than I've expected. It may be more difficult to control the car especially at high speeds but for cruising along and chilling it is far better than a controller. So overall I would say it's OK. I mean it is not that expensive it's only 60 dollars so I'm not complaining too much but I would say, beware because it's a very inconvenient device. If you do buy it do not expect anything too much.
