  1. You know that the cost of getting this petrol back to Earth from even Mars, the cost of the nearest planet, would be prohibitively expensive, right? That's even ignoring the cost and insane difficulty of MINING it from here. It would be awesome if, indeed, we could just drill some oil on Mars and ship it here. Whether or not that can really happen is another matter. Would be interesting, though, if this hypothesis led to a cheap, efficient way to convert carbon and other things into petrol. I think the dangers of global warming are severely overinflated, but I do think that we do need to prevent pollution in general. However, I wouldn't drive a Prius in favor of a Ferrari or something, much like many of the members here - I'd advocate changes in bigger pollution-causers, like factories, first.
  2. Luks fotochopped. I can tel 'cuz of teh pixelz. Looks dumber than NAWWWCZS energy drink, and this doesn't even work in your car. :P And the cans are probably just (lame) 3D renders. There's nothing convincing me that that's real.
  3. Vista is universally incompatible, that's the problem. (just kidding) Have you tried this? *EDIT: this is no longer relevant, nvm*
  4. First off, what version of Windows are you running? Also, make sure you don't already have it installed or that you're not missing critical Windows files... or something.
  5. I'm pretty sure that it actually only requires Expert rank. It's in the top-left corner of the map. Also, 10-month necropost. D:
  6. I can't think of anything. Someone else can take my turn. :)
  7. Noble M10, preproduction Noble M12 / North American M12 variant, or M14 / M15 test mule. EDIT: Definitely the Rossion Q1, the North American imported version of the M12. Final answer. Also, I am not a complete Noble geek, as my avatar and this post would imply. That car's bodywork and profile is just incredibly recognizable.
  8. Eww. Just, eww. Not recognizable enough as a CAR. Wheels look OK, but are completely impractical for anything but this car itself.
  9. Meh, I disagree with Reaper on most of this stuff, but I would like it if people posted PICTURES of their mods more often. Won't name any names, but a lot of promising mods go ignored because the people who made them habitually neglect to post pictures. Yeah - have any of you guys seen Tool's first Civic Hatchback? xD Modding in general has come such a long way in the past year or so that being nitpicky is pointless. Also, +Rep for Mike.
  10. Here it is. It's NOT finished, but it's pretty close. It was made mainly with the difficult handling in mind, and it goes from 0-60 in 2.44, which is pretty close but a little too quick. It also goes 260+, but again, I'm going to increase the aero-limiter. It's made for the Cien, so no performance upgrades are taken into consideration. With upgrades it's likely that it would go 280+. Also, it says V16 under engine, but that's because TDUPE wouldn't let me export with my custom W16 engine setting in ModTools - it would throw an error. Fix that under ModTools. http://www.mediafire.com/?qn3hn5zqzvm EDIT: Woops, I see what I did wrong in exporting the performance statistics. I'll have that fixed soon; in the meantime, copy the numbers out of the images if you want to try it. I've never used the import/export feature
  11. I've got one. It's based off of the Cien, even though all of the figures were changed. It handles like a tank, turning far more slowly than most A-class vehicles (I couldn't take a corner that the Saleen could take at the same speed), and it accelerates super quickly, as the Veyron should. It goes to 260mph+ instead of 253, but a more restrictive aero-limiter should remedy that. Dunno exactly how fast it accelerates - changing the "Acceleration" figure should be sufficient to adjust it properly. All in all, it's about on par with most upgraded A-class cars, and roughly equivalent to the upgraded Saleen S7 but AWD.
  12. Yep. 800bhp and nowhere to send it. The engine that resides in the engine bay probably doesn't even power the car right now - it probably just runs off a go-kart motor hidden behind a seat. :P I hope whoever buys it fixes it up a little, so it's actually at its full intended potential instead of being a glorified gokart. Also, w00t Arizona. If I had a lot of money to spend I'd go to the auction. xD
  13. That mirror is definitely off of an Audi. Audi A6 / S6?
  14. Diablo - it's the original "HOLY CRAP TOO FAST" car, after the F40. Besides, the GT 6.0 is awesome (even if the fixed lights are indeed from a 300ZX).
  15. Use ModTools to add another paint color to your bike. It's "temporary" and only shows up offline, but hey - it works, right?
  16. The car vanishing from the dealership isn't really a "major bug", since it's temporary and easily fixable with the ModTools. "Major bugs" are permanently missing dealerships and completely irreparable corrupted databases, like ModTools 1.10.0 caused before 1.10.2 came out. So, no big deal :) Thanks for making 2.0, it works great from all testing I've done (besides the already-documented dealership issue).
  17. I don't think it's terrible, but I am glad it's a one-off and no more will be made xD I think it looks okay. It's very overdone, but, then again, that was the point. The only part I genuinely think is a definite improvement is the rear wing - rip the wing off and put it on an Enzo, and I'd be impressed. F50-style xD
  18. Use the ModTools and make sure it still shows up in a dealership. If you hit Save after you've even viewed the Miscellaneous tab, it may do something and remove your car / bike from the dealership.
  19. Well, I tried 2.0, and once I got it running (see above), it runs perfectly. Only major issue I've spotted so far is that if you go into Name Editor, it'll add "??" to the end of the car name (easily fixed with ModTools), and it may also remove cars from dealers periodically (also easily fixable).
  20. OOH I got it running! w00t! Copy everything from "References" into the main directory, it should run if you do that. Dunno how well it'll work though, haven't tried it yet. Trying it now. :D
  21. w00t, thank you for releasing ModTools 2.0! Thank you so much, Dredgy. Merry Christmas and happy holidays :)
  22. Sweet! Good to see that this tool is getting updated - I can't wait to see the new version. :D Also, any clue about this? Basically, I modded the Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster in ModTools to say BMW 135i, which works in-game, but in TDUPE it still says Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster. All changes I make in TDUPE don't work in-game - it's as if there are two separate Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadsters. The coupe works fine. Any chance you could update CarData.mdb to try and fix this?
  23. First off: are you hitting File -> Save Data after making changes? I wasn't doing this at first either, it took me a while to figure that out. ;) Dredgy, for some reason, I can edit the performance of the Chrysler Crossfire Coupe, but not the Roadster - it does something weird in the database, as if the roadster is duplicated or something. When I click the Name tab in TDUPE, it still says "Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Roadster", even though I changed it to BMW 135i in the ModTools. (I'm using Patch 1.67D, in case it matters.)
