  1. Looks vaguely like either a Nissan NX or a VW Golf IV, but the grille suits neither. Wow, this is hard. The paint job looks like the Gulf livery, if that helps.
  2. If possible, do custom model names in Djey's Modding Tools. Also, since you're running Vista, try doing all of the Vista-related stuff like setting administrator rights, etc. and try it again. If it's permanently ruined, restore your DB.BNK from a backup. If you don't have a backup, download Patch 1.67D or 1.68A, which will overwrite DB.BNK with a fresh (although slightly patched) copy.
  3. Your best option is to use an aero limiter. My personal set of Veyron physics have the full 1001HP of the Veyron, yet it tops out at 260 while drafting (which is a little higher than it should be, but it's not completely inaccurate). It takes a bit of experimenting, but if your aero limiter is high enough, your car won't go past a certain speed regardless of its horsepower. I once had an Evo X with 300HP and I mistakenly set the aero limiter to 2.9 instead of 0.29, and it wouldn't go past 120MPH or so. @ poster above: I don't know for sure, but I think that there's a setting labeled "Ride Height" or "Suspension Height" - if it's there, use that. Otherwise, just try different suspension settings.
  4. I've seen that before, but unfortunately I don't think that will help. I think hair colors are stored the same way that car paint colors are stored in the database, and that can't be changed without some kind of database edit. Thanks, though :D If I find anything that might help, I'll tell you. (I've looked at the databases with dredgy's TDUUT tool - it's on Dredgy's website, tdupe.com - but I haven't found anything useful yet.
  5. I looked into how to do this once, as well as changing the colors that clothing is available in. Apparently, the textures are stored in grayscale format, so there's no way to simply recolor the textures. I'm pretty sure that this is a matter actually concerning the database, rather than the textures themselves. I hope this helps. :)
  6. I like the hatchback, and I'll miss it - heck, in ten years, the 2008-2010 STI hatchback might be highly collectible or something due to its short production. However, the sedan looks awesome. :D The only awesomer thing possible would be to produce a 22B-style limited-edition STI coupe. Then again, with the Subaru version of the FT-86 coming soon, that probably would be redundant.
  7. WeatherDesc. Put // in front of whichever lines of StaticCfg *something* that you don't want to appear in-game. You'll have to look through the Weather.ini to figure out which ones are which, though.

    1. W00t! Thank you SO MUCH, Tool and IceKid, for making this! It looks excellent! I'm going to go put it in my TDU installation right now  +rep to you, Tool, and +rep to IceKid.
    2. IceKid, this is looking excellent. Amazing work. Also, I'm glad to see the increasing trend towards modelling threads - it shows that this site is growing beyond conversions to modelling as well. :D
    3. Epic. More amazing than anything I could ever make, and this is most likely replacing my existing F40 sound mod - for good. :D
    4. While I'm driving? How about the "don't get in an accident" game? xD My family used to play the "license plate game", but by the end we had added so many house rules to it that it made very little sense. EDIT: Also, you all lost the game.
    5. @ Drivefast: A couple things I'd like to point out: 1. Diablo didn't post it. Dredgy did. 2. Even *IF* the modified performance could be used online (which it can't), there are much worse ways of cheating which are already available and have been available anyway. 3. "For Offline Use Only" is meant as a warning, and essentially keeps people from complaining when their game stops working online (see above) and blaming TDU:C for it - because that way, we can just say "Hey, it said For Offline Use Only, didn't it?". @ poster above: Drag only allows a car to reach a speed which its weight, gearing, and horsepower will allow. If weight, gearing and power won't let it get to a speed, no drag value will change anything. Drag is essentially a top-speed-limiter. If your drag is a huge number you won't ever go past 100, no matter how much HP your car has, for example.
    6. hello, about the weather mod. please tell me where to write those // in witch file FX or WeatherDescr and witch line. Thank You!

      1. This is looking awesome so far, thank you so much Tool :D I'm familiar with IceKid84's works on NFSCars, and I'm glad to see greater collaboration between the NFS and TDU communities :) Thank you also, IceKid, for making the model and giving permission for Tool to convert it.
      2. Brilliant, excellent work - this'll probably become a permanent addition to my game :D +rep The night mod is especially impressive. Although it looked rather unrealistic from the screenshots, it is actually brilliantly done - not too dark, although the surrounding scenery could be a little darker. @ poster above: HDR doesn't work with this mod because there are two separate weather files for HDR users and people who do not use HDR. This mod only changes the one intended for non-HDR users. EDIT: I have figured out a quick trick to selectively use certain kinds of weather and not others - or, as I like to call it, "Batman Mode". Put "//" (without quotes) in front of all weather sets you do NOT want to use, and the game will use every other weather set.
