  1. In Fuel your vehicle was also only capable of getting visually damaged. Even though the engine would start giving dark smokeclouds, there was no mechanical damage, and as soon as you reset the vehicle was fixed. I think for TDU2 this would be a good way to do so. I think mechanical damage in TDU2 would only be good if the vehicle has a long endurance, so it takes longer than in other games before it starts to downhill. But visual only is ok too. I'm not sure though if it would really prevent people from crashing. They know that if they use a crashbarrier to progress a turn their car won't deform and get severe steeringdamage. And to bring back up the point of paying for damage, I don't mind that. The largest bills are for mechanical and structural damage, so they can't charge you that much for just losing some panels (ok, carbon costs a lot and losing doors gives big bills). Remember you got points/money for doing stunts and combo's, I think that will soon result in complete coverage of the damagecosts you made earlier, so for now I'm not too worried.
  2. @BADNED: sig-hint = Porsche 908? :) For now I can't think of anything else with 3 than the numbers on the cars. I only found 3 other cars, a 917K, 917LH and Delta S4.
  3. No, it says: exclusive footage which you'll also be able to find here on Monday! Also check in Monday for two exclusive screens of the Audi Q7 and Ford GT in action. So I think monday those screens will be on TDU2.com.
  4. Lol I hope so, another 30 cars added every month... that's gonna give us like 400 cars in the final version :D
  5. The dvd station in my pc, an Optiarc DVD+-RW AD-5170S is making weird sounds since recently. What happens is, I put a dvd or cd in the station, as soon as I start browsing the disc something is making a weird ticking sound. It only happens when I, for example, enter a map, and when I move files from or to the disc in that station. When I do nothing, the thing makes no weird noises. It also only lasts as long as Explorer needs to display the content of the map I enter, so when I can see all mapcontent, the sound stops. I am now afraid something's wrong with it, which could result in damaged discs. Before I put any disc in it again, I want to know what's happening and how I can fix this. Perhaps an important detail: I recently gave my pc to a person we know who knows an awfull lot about computers etc, because we had connectionproblems and we thought it was pc-related. I can't imagine though he damaged that station as he was mainly focussing on networkcards etc. Does anybody have some experience with this, or know what I can do to get rid of this?
  6. Didn't Gamespot confirm 208 cars?
  7. Yes I'm also happy we can open and close softtops. I think those folding hard roofs are also in, they are far easier to animate than a softtop with its fabric layer and the framework. I wonder if you can also choose color for your softtop. I guess that's an option on almost every softtop convertible and really makes a big difference. I only remember it from NFS4, but there it was linked to the bodycolor.
  8. That sounds very good, include fuelconsumption in Hardcore mode.
  9. I do so too. I prefer Coupes over most roofless cars.
  10. I have a question about those clubexclusive cars.... I assume that only clubs at a certain level (membercount, bankaccount, succes in inter-club races etc) get one of these cars. The cars should make people of other clubs jealous as they would be ''impossible'' to get. But if there are thousands and thousands of clubs, and the game only contains maybe 10 vehicles, they turn out to be not thát exclusive... What do you people expect of this?
  11. Reminds me of the first part of the first trailer for TDU1, the CG one.
  12. Then I might have said it wrong. I was aiming at seeing the wheels only rotate, but not shake up and down. Offroad should be very irregular which it seems it isn't. That's kinda what I meant and should have said :p
  13. I would think he just turned his head a bit to the right :p
  14. Disappointing. After the words ''the first trailer is not what we hoped to show and does not do the game justice'' I expected a lot more of everything. I see offroad trails are still offroad-textured asphalt routes as they are flat and don't seem to let the car slide around. I'd expect even a 4WD to slide as it is quite a weight of that Q7 V12. And what's up with those sparks at the Q7's bouncing?! I can't remember I've ever seen sparks when cars landed on offroad trails. And shaking the camera to give the feeling of driving offroad does not work for me. The car needs to shake more because of the road, not dodgy camerawork like in the disastermovie 10.5 (disaster both as subject as rating). I see vehicles have no proper behaviour yet. In addition to that, the blurred wheels are still completely flat which looks very fake. I also notice in many shots the tires are sunken in the road (not always but often), but I could live with it... I think... or... hm. Not a lot of new vehicles shown either, and no confirmation yet on fuel or working wipers, but it doesn't matter that much. This is all gamestuff, the trailer itself was nicely made, music fits good, lots of stuff has been shown, the humanmodels look good too. Combined everything, it gets a 5/10
  15. Looks as if the lens was scratched. I really don't like it. I thought I'd see a high-res picture like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3005/3043760419_a25ffb950a_b.jpg [mod edit:] Please do not post images larger than 350KB, use a thumbnail or a text link instead, thanks!
  16. Rather in environment meshes than in carmeshes like in TDU1.
  17. Ow ye, you're right. Lol. EDIT: both of you are right :p
  18. @Fizz: I remember in SA MP you had commands for dancing and moving, hilarious as it was xD What's this? o.O I first thought an SLS or close-up on the DBS outlet at the frontwheels, but it's not that...
  19. Wrong, look closely and you'll see the front is too short to be a Viper. There's another Viper in the showroom so it makes perfect to compare.
  20. Perhaps the first Ferrari can be added: F430/430 Scuderia (Coupe). See second trailer: 0:50.
  21. Did they just close the top at very high speed with drifting that TT-RS? And LOL a surgery clinic xD Within a few days 50% of all players will be plastified. xD
  22. Lol, I don't expect such music tbh for a racegame trailer... But who knows.
