  1. Definitely not... the view upwards may be nice but I can perfectly live without an illuminated funfair ride trying to get me.
  2. That's one way to transport ''something''
  3. It will be a GT competitor. Currently it's believed to be called Zora ZR1 and it will serve as a flagship model in the Corvette range, indicating there will be a transition period selling classic layout Vette's alongside a flagship mid-engined one, before going mid-engine entirely. Price estimates are currently around 150.000 for a model which will be build in low numbers, that's close enough to a Ford GT.
  4. Saturn or Neptune please, one way ticket will do.
  5. Would definitely 10/10 avoid getting a Panamera, just like the outgoing gen I only like the inside, but from the outside I really really don't like it. The rear end did improve a lot though. Dunno if this was posted earlier, but in 2015 Chevrolet went outside with the first prototypes of the next gen Corvette which is said to become mid-engine. Those early prototypes were disguised as Holden Ute's: The ''news'' bit here is that Corvette has now actually tried to make it look like a Corvette. Ofcourse it's gonna be nice to see it go head to head with the Ford GT, though currently it is believed to be introduced in Detroit in January 2018.
  6. Red Bull has prepared themselves for the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix, in true style:
  7. I don't find it any more misleading than the best car photos which are also heavily edited in light, contrast, hues and whatnot. :p And Jupiter couldn't care less, it just tosses a moon at you to show calling Jupiter's moons small is also misleading.
  8. Jupiter has ignited the fireworks for the arrival of the Juno probe upcoming Monday: It's a picture made of two pictures made by Hubble: one of Jupiter in regular light, and one of the aurora's in ultraviolet.
  9. Number 1 on my list is Germany, if that won't work I'd opt for the USA, those are the only countries I'd move to while still having a career to work on. I see zero attractive opportunities elsewhere. USA would have to be one of the larger/better known states/cities though, first choices in my mind would be San Francisco, New York or Miami. And when I retire and no longer have to work, I'd add Hawaii to the list, or perhaps somewhere in Italy or a nice small Greek island village, not yet molested by drunk rabbiting youth. Ofcourse it's dared to hope such islands still exist... I fear they've even discovered uninhabited islands already. Reason I'd choose for these locations is I just like the environments a lot, and it's all Western with not that much of a massive cultural shock to process. Something that would be véry different if we're talking about Dubai or Japan for example.
  10. Joining Mike as far as the GT R concerned. Still not blown away by the looks. Sound is great but not a dealmaker if I'd ever have the money for it. And if the earlier leaks were true, this super hardcore AMG GT with weight reductions and a tuned engine still accelerates slower to 100 than an upcoming 4WD E-Class...
  11. I'd like to have more info on the PC version and what MS will force PC players to do to play the game. From what I could find until now, was that PC playing is a feature of the game rather than a separate release, meaning you can only buy it on Xbox and then start it on a Windows machine. And then there's still that Live thing, meaning you'd have to pay an extra membership to go online I assume. I was excited at first, but with the current info Forza is just as far away from PC as it was before FM Apex...

Clearly one of the people who were behind me in line for the hand-out of singing skills...
  13. It's a Dodge 911 by Hamann with the performance of a 2006 E55 AMG and the badge of a Nissan. Reveal vid as streamed through MB on facebook: And for whoever wonders where that grille came from:
  14. Right, I haven't updated this in a while, but now they posted something I just could not ignore. This world is full of game developers who don't give a slightest hoot about a game after release, but SCS isn't one of em. They know people complain about the scale of the map (personally it's fine at the current scale, give that they'll add the other states). So what do they do? They just scale up the game world, for free!
  15. Same here, been using keyboards in racing games for like 20 years and it works well enough for me.
  16. Aston Martin has announced the Vanquish Zagato will go in production. They will build 99 units of the 600 hp strong beauty which can do 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds. Oh, and Merc wants to cut themselves: they have begun road testing the AMG GT roadster, a car which could get dangerously close to the SL, especially if the next generation will ditch the folding metal roof and become a more sporty oriented roadster as has been stated quite some times already. Then again, initial interviews always mentioned 0 possibilities for an AMG GT roadster... and who would have thought MB would badge-engineer a pick-up truck?
  17. Hssan, Scott and T1M got my votes... ...wait.... I actually voted for 3 people using the poll  OWWWWW MAHHH GAWWWWD!
  18. Now it's getting interesting! Leading Toyota suddenly hit the limiter at 200km/h with just over 5 minutes remaining! In GTE Pro, Ford seems to go for a 1-2 finish after the 488 was pushed to position 3 after broken lights on the car.
  19. Watching right now, the Ustream one as it's free, neutral and seems like a stable and good stream. I don't care at all about the brand-tied streams.
  20. I add a real life vid: dashboard view from the F1 Medical Car, which doesn't sound a fifth as cool as the old 6.2 V8 Medical Car. :( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS0FfbDJ-1E
  21. Because I rather would not be reminded of it :p They could have gone more GT3 with it by giving it side pipes. Ah well, nice challenge for Akrapovic and the likes.
  22. And special bucket seats, and an adjustable rear wing, and a bright green paint job and green details inside. The GT3 grille is just winner.

We all know how Tomas is regarding detailing :p @Tomas: the place I bought it from had undented and repainted the front-end to remove stone-chip damage, so there won't be anything to see now. Leather treatment in my opinion would be necessary for the steeringwheel and the front seats, but I just got the car and it's not high on my list right now to sort out. @Andreas: I bought it with just over 154.000 km. That would be just over 30.000 a year, which is a good mileage for a diesel. Sometimes diesels show up which have done maybe 10.000 km a year, I would have more doubts about such a car. @Myk: At the moment I have not really planned anything, just thinking/looking/dreaming a bit, but it's nothing spectacular like what nearly every American MBForum member does. If I'd do anything to this car, most likely the first thing would be a different and/or extra set of wheels, so I can easily swap winter-summer. I don't know how I'll do it. I could get a second 18-inch or a 19-inch set for the summer and keep the current 18's as winter set, or I can get a second 18-inch or 17-inch set for the winter. For 19-inch wheels I'd first have to ask around a bit if others know what difference it would make in comfort. For 17-inch rims, I'm not sure if the current brakes are larger than the stock ones or not. But as you point out, Merc has a lot of different wheels, both AMG as non-AMG. Ofcourse the rim width and ET offset must be correct, and then it'll just be taste. We'll see. Oh and I absolutely don't want wheels with spokes that are curved like turbine blades or anything, because they'd all be similar and that means 2 would be facing the opposite way. The only directional rims Merc made were the SLR turbines. Speaking of which... there are two sets of wheels they had on the SLR which I would love to see how they look like on other Mercs, a 5-spoke (like the one in TDU1, but less Vauxhall Corsa-ish) and a nice 10-spoke. But those sets are extremely rare to find, and I don't know if the sizes will be right. A second thing would be to get rid of the emblems across the bodywork, which are 2 BlueEfficiency labels on the front quarterpanels, chrome letters spelling the seller's company name below the rear license plate, and the CLS350 and CDI badges. Other than that, I currently don't miss anything and I don't see myself spending thousands to get retrofitted folding mirrors, upgraded soundsystem, dynamic multi-contour seats or radar-guided cruise control, just to name a few things my car doesn't have. But I don't miss them anyway and most likely I would rarely use those.
  24. Size of the map isn't everything. Fuel at time of its release had like a 14.400 km² game world, and that was more a downside. Ofcourse partially due to the post-apocalyptic story, but such a large world would just be impossible to make living and active within a reasonable time frame without compromising on quality. I've been searching around a bit but I can't really find answers. What are the expectations of the online things? Will PC players be forced to get some Xbox Live thing account membership? Or would that only be for the cross-platform service?
