Replacing cars with a mod is great, but when you want to install one more car, you don't have any other slot available. These days are officially over. That's why I'm working on adding lots of new slots to TDU. The Community megapack gave us more cars, let's try to reach 200 slots in TDU. :panic:

How to Install ?
 
- Just extract "Euro" in your Test Drive Unlimited Folder. Replace all the files.
- Make a Backup of VehiculesSlots.xml in your TDU Modding Tools folder and another backup for Cardata in your TDUPE folder.
- Extract VehiculesSlots.xml in "xml" inside your TDU Modding Tools folder
- Extract carData in your TDUPE folder
- In TDU Modding Tools, Go to File > Settings and set the culture to US - English !!!
- In TDUPE, Go to Settings > Locality and set it to "US" !!!
 
- Launch the game. -> If it crash, in Bnk/Database, copy DB_US and rename it to the normal game language you normally use. Example: DB_FR, DB_CH or DB_GEDon't forget to set the game in English !
 
How to use this mod ?
 
- Just like the good old traditional way: replace the Bnks, Import your physics with TDUPE, adjust cool things with TDU Modding Tools. The new Bnk files have a "2_" or a "3_" in front of the rest of the file name. Example: 2_Enzo_I.bnk ; 2_A3_V6_F_01 ; 2_Gall_Cpe_I.bnk or 3_Gall_Cpe_I.bnk. You can use TDU Modding Tools function to replace the files too ;)
- If you're not happy with the Cars names, HUDs names and Rims names in TDUPE, feel free to edit the names in CarData.
 

 
- Important fact, Use TDU Modding Tools to install the new slots in the dealers

Lost support from all other modders but 0.5 is still coming guys but only one new car confirmed - McLaren F1. I do understand them, as they might get bored of waiting for me to start working again. Anyway, this is the list of things that are already done:

Compatibility of mitkop's db with mine depends fully on him. It is quite easy if you know what are you doing. I helped him in few things recentyly, so he will be able to do it ( I think).
 
After 0.5 I quit TDU2 modding, at least for some time.

Well, i've found out which files are necessary and will release the patch.
 
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CLEAN TDU, OTHERWISE YOUR MODS WILL GET RESETED!!!!
By clean TDU i mean: Patch 1.68, Community Carpack, Project Paradise and JPTH's new slots are necessary. Since this patch changes a few files on the database, your individual/personal mods will get their physics and all the adjustments you made reseted.

Nothing too exciting yet, unless you like making invisible roads. :D
World object export should come next with Havok mesh painting (= to modify the physic 'reaction' of the road) so that you guys will be able to start real stuff. :p
 
I'll probably upload some guide to explain the havok edition since it could be a little bit tricky.
Basically you need to name your new mesh the same name as the mesh you'd like to replace (both object and mesh if needed). You also need to respect the face and vertex count of the already existing mesh (you should get a warning message if anything's wrong about that).
Also when importing/exporting, you need to set the Forward axis as 'X Forward' and the upper axis as 'Y Up' (or something like that depending of your editor) otherwise the mesh position will be messed up. :D
