  1. I wonder if there are options like: Anti-Lock Brakes (on/off), Stability Help (on/off), Traction Control (on/off), Clutch, Shake Camera, Blur Effect, etc... I used to get Shake Camera and Blur Effect to the maximum in TDU1, it looked like I was going faster:thumbsup: I hope they kept the old options intact!!!:D
  2. I hope they let one edit your playlist:thumbsup: It would be cool to cruise around listening to favourite songs!:D
  3. Man, its just that TDU is kind of my favourite game, so I am always hoping for something better. The thing I want most is not racing and casinos, I wanna cruise around, test drive and do vehicle transport missions. I mean, TDU1 had poor engine sounds, that is no reason for TDU2 to have poor engine sounds, I guess people are just being conformist. I know its always better to try to hide the flaws so we don't get disappointed but... 4 years later things are supposed to change and in the things that I really think that are important in this game (number and variety of cars, engine sounds and sense of speed) the changes just don't seem enough, that is it! I am not saying the game is bad or that I won't buy it, but when its gets close to the release date of a game, it seems people go blind and accept no complaints whatsoever. It seems people want to pretend that everything is perfect and just want to see the bright side and I understand that. The only reason I complain is because I love this game, that is why I go to effort of posting everything I think is wrong so someone can actually make it better. I bought TDU1 for Xbox 360 and I don't even own one, I bought to play in other peoples console whenever I could. I just wanna see to it that this game evolves, and pointing out the flaws is the only way I have to actually change things. :D
  4. Its just like a MAJOR letdown, why did they do such a thing? Why didn't they use the engine sound they actually have in the cutscene, its like a punch to the face, like HEY listen to this amazing sound a now enjoy the one we REALLY have. Plus, I think the characters look like they are made out of wax or something, like sculptures and not real people, besides, the sense of speed is.... NONE. It just seems like one is always driving at the same speed, C'mon this is a major issue, the community talks about it all the time, and there seems to be no change. I know that the graphics can't be as good as GT5, and that there are some effects and polishing needed, but I can live with that but the thing is it always seems that the game is UNFINISHED, sort of a concept or project and not an actual game. :ill: Everything seems very "square shaped" and sharp like they have no anti-aliasing, the game has no LIFE, I know they tried to make the game very "social" and stuff but it seems kind of like you are a lone driver talking to robots in a deserted island.
  5. Seriously, I think this is a joke. Yeah, the guy starts the car, you hear some excellent roaring engine sounds but then when he is actually driving the car you notice the sound has changed into a shi...ty thing. It sucks, its a JOKE with a major "J". Oh, listen to that amazing sound in the cutscene, now that you are actually driving enjoy that sh...t.:mad:
  6. Its really great to see that some people still like the old rally cars. The Lancia Delta S4 Stradale is a beast!!! I think that ATARI/EDEN can really make a great game out of TDU2, if they listen to the community! I just hope the game is not all "falloutnewvgased" (=bugged).
  7. Sorry :o I didn't know that Cop Mode was already included in the game:)
  8. New TDU2 Ideas Hi, I just wanted to share some ideas and see what you think about it: -Low Traffic: I think TDU had very low traffic, I mean even in the main streets in the city there were only a few cars, It seems it hasn't changed much. I think it would be nice to have a traffic option (None, Low, Normal, High). -People on the Streets: I think this a bit controversial but I think having people walking the streets in TDU2 would add to the reality, like Midnight Club or something. They could run away when you drive close to them or something. -Interactions: I think you should be able to interact with the car dashboard, like seeing the character change radio stations, turn on/off the air conditioner, interact with the GPS etc... -The Steering Wheel should turn like 360º. -Clutch. -Tuning: Exhaust Pipes should change the car sound. There should also be nw Gears and Clutches etc... Body Parts, nothing like NFS or Midnight Club, just something more discrete but that would make one's car really exclusive. -END CLUB EXCLUSIVES: C'mon the game doesn't have that many cars and they still make some EXCLUSIVE? -Pre-Order Bonus Car DLC for Free: I think the DLC containing the Pre-Order cars should be free, those cars are in the Official Car List yet they don't come with the final game and no-one pre-ordered the game from every store... -Definitely LICENSE PLATES, I can't think of a better game to have license plates than TDU2. -Optional GAS. -Drift Challenges, Vehicle Transport Challanges and being able to play as a cop.
  9. 15-20 hours??? Take a break every 2 hours or so to grab a snack and rest your eyes. Do not forget that you need an 8 hour sleep every day so you can perform better and better at your favourite games. Do not stand too close to the TV and check your eyes every 6 months with your ophthalmologist.
  10. I really think the free roam cop is an excellent idea.;) Car packs are definitely what I would buy right away, but its a truth that at some point one also needs something crazy and funny. I am seeing excellent ideas in this thread, I hope ATARI/EDEN listen to us!!!:D
  11. Plus: -License Plates (Real and Customizable) -Motorbikes -An Special Extra Pack with a Bus, a Buggy and an 18 Wheeler. (Don't care if the physics were all messed up, just for fun when everyone has already completed the game.) -TAXI MISSION, a real Ibiza and Oahu taxi to take people in record time or something. -FILM DIRECTOR PACK- Just like Driv3r, being able to direct your own police chase videos or just presentations of your favourite car. -Mini-Games, Casino Games, etc...
  12. SORRY I forget about the ML63, Spyker, etc... I was just hoping for the RUF Dakara and probably a Land Rover Defender. :o What really annoys me is why they didn't stretch the existing licenses to the maximum, they probably will, but... TDU2 is gonna be like a 150€ investement, I like the occasional DLC but I think TDU2 is just too much. C'mon If they didn't have time at least they could release the DLCs for free because the Official Car list is everything but complete but I just know they won't. They include the Pre-Order Specials in the Official Car list and they are not there when you buy the game and I bet they are gonna charge good money for the DLC with the pre-order cars. ITS ALL GONNA BE ABOUT JUST PLAIN ROBBING PEOPLE, that is what angers me really. I am a great fan of the series but I don't have to pay the fact that game doesn't sell well or that ATARI and EDEN really need money. At this point I could even bet that they already have 175 cars, they are just gonna make you pay extra for them instead of including them in the final game and then make more cars for DLC. Its too confusing... I wanna buy the game but I don't wanna stop buying other games just because I have to pay monthly for DLCs with cars that should be in the game.
  13. The ultimate car list analysis -In TDU we had 82 cars from 30 manufacturers. -In TDU2 we have 101 cars 33 manufacturers. We have lost CADILLAC, FARBOUD, LAMBORGHINI, MASERATI, NOBLE, PONTIAC, SALEEN and SATURN. We have won ARIEL, BUGATTI, CITRÖEN, GINETTA, HUMMER, LAND ROVER and SUBARU. Pros and Cons: PROS: -SUV's. -Some of the latest cars from top quality manufacturers. CONS: -Important licenses were lost (Lamborghini, Maserati, etc...) -Only 20+ cars than the original TDU. -10 of the new cars are different variations of the Bugatti Veyron and Pagani Zonda. -At least 10 of the cars are pre-order specials so they shouldn't even amount to the final car list. -5 of the cars are Club Exclusive. -Whole Offroad Option, though only 6 cars are REALLY capable of handling offroad (Lancia Delta, Subaru Impreza, Hummer, Audi Q7, Range Rover and the VW Touareg.) -The average of CARS p/ NEW MANUFACTURER is 1. All new manufacturers only have one car. -Important cars like the SKYLINE R34, CHEVROLET CORVETTE, etc... didn't make the TDU2 car list even though they were in the original TDU. -CITRÖEN 2CV and the VW BEETLE are probably the cars you can build out of scrap you find somewhere, they can't really be put to much use. Its funny how ATARI doesn't seem to have the slightest problem in waisting money in licenses like CITRÖEN just to make a little, old and useless vehicle. -SEAT, the one and only spanish car manufacturer isn't present. Its like having no cars from FORD and GM in Oahu. -I hope we will not have to pay the double of the game's worth in DLCs to make up for the disappointing car list.
  14. I think this its just ridiculous, If you think about it: How come Test Drive Unlimited, an open-world racing game, a game where you can just cruise around in real streets HAS NO LICENSE PLATES!!! If we were talking about NFS, GT5 or FORZA, but this is the kind of game that really, really, really demands License Plates, REAL or CUSTOMIZABLE.;)
  15. You can't talk of the BETA in this forum either? Well, if one can't talk about it I'm very sorry!:o I shall mention it no further!;)
  16. Thanks! It's pity that the ASTON MARTIN ONE-77 is a club exclusive. It's definitely one of my favourite cars. I think its nice that there are Club Exclusive cars but both the ASTON MARTIN and the MCLAREN shouldn't be exclusive to clubs. I think clubs should only have different versions of the cars. They shouldn't force you to belong to anything, every car should be available in dealerships. I hope there will be other ways of getting those cars.:) They should release some new vids. I am particularly worried about the physics, it seemed from the BETA that they were very bad. Specially offroad seemed like just "brown painted asphalt". It seems you can't really feel the acceleration and the car weight, and the engine sounds don't help at all. I hope they kept the blur effect and shake camera it really adds to the sense of speed. [mod edit:] Please don't double post, use the edit button, thanks!
  17. So, Can anyone tell me which cars are CLUB EXCLUSIVE? Are CLUBS just an online feature? Are there still going to be VEHICLE TRANSPORT missions? Is there any Single Player mode or you have to play online in order to progress through the game?
  18. Thanks, its indeed a very rare thing, to see nice people in forums. Most times people just answer mocking and joking. Thanks for the answers!:) I don't want to be bothering too much, but here's another question? What is a CLUB EXCLUSIVE CAR, what does that mean? Does it mean you can't buy it in dealerships? Do you have to belong to a club to get it? Can you drive it or own it in Single Player? I mean, I really like TDU but I'm wondering if you can't progress through single player, I don't really like Online. So I am worried that I will buy the game and then I need to be always online.
  19. I am always asking around for this but no one confirmed anything. Will you be able to look around while in cockpit view or just sideways like in Forza or GT? I mean, in the first TDU you could look at the dashboard, the passenger seat, everything, but with all the new games that only let you look sideways I am affraid they may have taken this feature from TDU2. If anyone can answer, it would be very helpful.
  20. I am referring to the atmosphere and not the weather effects. Ibiza is a very peculiar place, it seems like there is always a kind of "dusty" fog around because of the winds coming from the Sahara desert which bring sand with them, I don't know if you have ever been to Ibiza, but if you would, you'd understand this. Its not complaining its just details.
  21. I also think they should add: -License Plates: Being able to choose if you'd have one or not, and being able to edit the license plate. -Fog: In TDU2 vids, everything seems very unreal. I want TDU2 to have some atmosphere, like fog and dust etc... -Free DLCs: I know they are not making the game for free but they have managed to deceive most fans into thinking the game would have much more cars, so the least they could do is to let us have some free DLCs, at least the one with the pre-order cars.
  22. TDU2 is almost out but still there are lots of DLC and updates coming, so here it goes: -Better Engine Sounds: Something between NFS Shift and Gran Turismo, TDU engine sounds are too electric or something it seems like a midi. -Sense of Speed and Driving: Everything is too plain and soft in TDU, there are no bumps on the roads, it seems not even in the offroad ones, you can't feel the acceleration, the braking, anything it almost seems that you are always at 60 mph/100 kmph. -More options: I want to be able to use a clutch like in Forza, more camera effect options, the ability to edit your playlist, etc... -More Cars: Alfa Romeo: '10 Giulletta '11 Giulia Aston Martin: '94 DB7 '98 V8 Vantage '10 Rapide Audi: '09 S4 '83 Quattro '10 A7 '08 S8 Bentley: '07 Arnage '91 Continental R '11 Mulsanne Cadillac: '10 CTS-V '06 DTS '09 SRX Chevrolet: '92 Corvette ZR1 '10 Corvette '96 Camaro Citröen: '10 DS3 '04 C4 '05 C4 by Löeb '06 C6 Dodge: '70 Challenger '08 Challenger '96 Viper RT10 Ford: '10 Fiesta '95 Escort RS Cosworth '10 Focus RS '09 Taurus '02 Crown Victoria Honda: '09 Civic '10 Accord '05 S2000 '90 NSX Jaguar: '92 XJ220 '97 XJ '09 XJ Hyunday: '09 Genesis Lamborghini: '66 Miura '74 Countach '90 Diablo '02 Murciélago '03 Gallardo '08 Reventón Lancia: '08 Delta '82 037 Stradale '86 S4 Stradale Land Rover: '83 Defender '90 Range Rover Maserati: '92 Ghibli '95 Shamal '09 GranTurismo '05 Quattroporte Maybach: '05 57S '06 62S Mazda: '09 MX-5 '95 RX-7 '05 RX-8 Mitsubishi: '98 Lancer EVOV '07 Lancer EVOX '06 Pajero Nissan: '09 Maxima '05 350Z '10 Murano '10 Qashqai +2 '10 Juke '90 Primera 2.0 GT '89 R32 '93 R33 '02 R34 '07 Skyline Coupe Opel: '08 Insignia '07 GT '09 Astra SEAT: '95 Ibiza GTi '07 Léon Cupra Subaru: '95 Impreza 22B Sti '08 Impreza Toyota: '94 Supra '95 Celica GT-Four Volkswagen: '02 Golf R32 '10 Passat '05 Phaeton '06 Eos '09 Scirocco R Finally: TDU has what everyone has ever dreamed of, a whole free to cruise around island, car interiors (I hope you can still look around every direction like in TDU, not just sideways like in Forza and GT5), you have got a character, a life, houses, clubs and parties, but there is no emotion and no realism in driving. C'mon I have seen videos of guys driving a Pagani Zonda at 100 mph in the sand, its just ridiculous. I have bought the first TDU for the Xbox 360 and I don't even own one. I loved the game and expected so much for TDU2, but it has been all about let downs these last months. I want to buy the game but I am affraid I am gonna have to spend the whole time in a Casino playing poker because the physics and such are so bad you don't even want to drive. I just hope I'm wrong, but I think they couldn't have changed in 6 months, what they havn't done in 4 years.
