I enjoy TDU2 but mostly just for cruising around. I love big scaled maps to drive around. The Crew will be even better with that, plus from what I ve seen you arent forced to drive a Bugatti for endgame probably. Thats one big disadvantage I hate in most of the racing games theese days. Theres only 1 or 2 superiour cars, all others just dont cut it in end-game. From what I saw in The Crew, the Full Stock cars perform somewhat equal in general. Of course a everyday car couldnt probably compete with a RUF or Ferrari on Full-Stock, but I feel that with all this parts you can win / buy, we will see a mixed competition on the higher levels maybe. And I would appreciate that, because everyone has their favourite car and wants to build it up to the best performance, and for sure its not a Bugatti or a similar weird looking supercar. I keep my fingers crossed for that kind of freedom. It was done in past games, why couldnt it work again. Just take a look at NFS: UG or even MW & Carbon. You could tune any car to compete in the higher ranks even against supercars. -

I think Anti-Aliasing looks bad because of that "movie grain" that is always on and cannot be turned off. -

I am just sad you are forced to play that guy. We live in 2014. There should be a choice. Theres games out there that are way older then this and had at least a two character choice with story arc. And if its too much work, just make the main character a silent never seen in cutscenes character like it was in NFS Most Wanted back in the day, so you can still have your own imagination and immersion. -

I have to say that people on the Beta Forums are really rude. So much rage and hate against this game. Granted it does has a few bugs, but it runs surprisingly well for a Beta even on a mid-end machine like mines (Havent upgraded stuff for a while now) I dont understand all the complains about the handling. Its a bit unusual at the beginning but you get used to it and as soon as you progress the performance parts help you too. Yesterday I was cruising around, mostly at higher speeds and I didnt even crash alot (unlike some people on the Beta Forums) I even drive it on Keyboard, wich should be worse compared to all the controller and wheel guys... I think its a solid game and with some improvements its going to be great and the NFS guys have to trick out their upcoming NFS title to get into the competition. If I compare The Crew and NFS: Rivals I d say, Rivals has slightly better graphics, but the 30FPS lock is worse on Rivals then it is on The Crew. Also their so called 'Personalisation' is nothing compared to the stuff you can do on the Crew. From my point of view, Ivory Tower has hit the nail on the head with this game. Such a vast open world and customisation aswell as freedom to drive anywere was long overdue. I am not sure but probably the Crew will change the way racing games are produced. My 2 cents. -

Anyone got a constant flickering? It happens every 10 - 15 seconds and the screen looks like if someone is waving a magnet around the screen for a moment. Tried to play around with the GFX settings but it does not go away. Its a brief moment so its barely noticable but once seen it cannot be unseen. -

In Need for Speed World there was no Crewsystem at all. Yet there are Crew's ;) It all a matter of Out-of-game organisation. -

Either I havent spotted it yet or they didnt went into detail of how vinyl customisation is done. Is it pre-mades or can we arrange the vinyls ourselves out of a selection of shapes and forms? -
Sounds like a right approach from Ubi. There are already enough Free2play-Pay2win games on the market. If it is like on TDU2 that you can purchase DLC cars for a small amount I can live with that.

As every other modern MMO (if you call it that) they will deliver alot more cars over the time. Of course as premium items in their virtual currency store (if they use one) and they will be OP as most premium items are. Moneygrabbing via Microtransactions is common in the gaming industry now. Why give people the whole game for free at release day when you can sell it to them piece by piece with later patches. That way they catch two flies with one flap. - Keep people motivated by announing more better and cooler cars - Grab money So much win!
