All those evidences where adressed by the devs back in 2015, when it started to popping up reports about an adware that installed itself regardless of users preferences. But now, DT Lite doesn't install anything harmfull if you untick everithing. Tryed it myself a few months ago, just when I wanted to play again TDU, and needed an software for mounting disc images, possibly for free.

 

Bust, as I said earlyer, DT Lite is not usefull with the fixed Image of TDU, since doesn't support any kind of advanced mount options, so I uninstalled it. That options are only available in the PRO and the ULTRA version, that comes without any kind of adware. And none other software gives you these kind of advance options, because I tryed every single one of them, before going on DT Ultra. That is not a free software.

 

In the end, if you want to play TDU with a fixed images, you must use DT Pro or DT Ultra. I've tryed everything, and every one of them failed.

Except for multiple of the links which are from 2017 and 2018. Also, the devs addressing the concerns means absolutely nothing. The fact is that Daemon Tools contained/contains malware, what the devs have to say about has no relevance because there's no reasonable explanation for it.

I don't want to start a debate, but are you seriously suggesting that a company that has been spreading malware for years and lying about it (which are both very illegal), can be trusted to have their software on your personal computer? Please be joking.

Where did you hear this lie about malware? Only the Lite version has optional adware in the installation process (you just need to untick them). And the Lite version does't have too the advanced mount option necessary for TDU fixed image, so it's totally useless. That's why I suggested the PRO or the ULTRA edition.

Please don't spread misinformation, especially in this case where it can be harmful. Daemon Tools Is malware, whether you untick the options in the installation or not.

Daemon Tools is malware, use a FOSS alternative like WinCDEmu.

Project Paradise relies in that d3d9.dll, so removing it will obviously break the game. This is what might fix it:

Again, that problem is with the car file, it happens because who created the car did not set the passenger position. There is nothing i can do about it, as i would need to HEX unlock the car file, which is seen as mod theft by the community.  It was either that, or remove the car from the game, which would you choose? 

Genuine question; since the majority of car mods are models pirated from a plethora of licensed games without any permissions, what is wrong with modifying them further? None of the mod authors own the rights or licenses to the cars and/or models in question in the cases of them being ripped from Forza, Need For Speed, Gran Turismo, etc. etc. so why should anyone care about nonsense "mod theft" which doesn't make sense in the first place?

I had the same issue and this is what fixed it.

Cockpit cameras are not a bug, if i bring the camera further back, you will see a headless neck appearing in your screen... so, yeah, no.  To fix that only unlocking the car file .bnk.

TDU Platinum cars are not really meant to be driven in that form. Lol 

I started making a list, but it seems every 2nd or 3rd car is missing (or very quiet) sound in certain views. Usually when in cockpit/hood/bumper view and looking back, but too many to list. Still working on a list of cars with wrong animation (which it seems is not only animation, but cars act like they have paddle shift as well) and cars with unsynched cockpit gauges. This isn't to seem negative or hate on the mod, just bug reporting.

There's an option in the Paradise launcher to disable steering wheel + character, would it be possible to implement something that just disables the character and not the steering wheel as well? That would be a good alternative in my opinion.

Awesome, cheers for the work and release! Does this include HD300 or HDU?

Is it possible to create a bug report and/or support thread? I've quite a few but don't want to spam the topic each time I come across one or seem like I'm trying to fault the mod, just constructive criticism to help improve.

Bugs found so far:

Many cars don't have sound in certain views and/or when looking back.

Cockpit cameras for some cars are too close to the steering wheel.

Some manual cars have paddle shift animation for the driver.

Buying any of the "TDU Platinum" cars at the custom dealerships seems to cause random game crashes when opening the map (still have to test and confirm this one), correlation =/= causation

If it works without MSI Afterburner running, go to "Riva Tuner" (it's in your bar next to the clock while MSI Afterburner is running). There's an option in there called "Custom Direct3D Support", see if it works after enabling it.

Edit: Fixed! Disabled compatibility mode and everything works perfectly now

Reinstalled - now game doesn't start with d3d9.dll in the game folder  

I have it enabled and using a new save, so not sure what's going on.

Edit: Game just crashed in the dealership, not sure what's wrong as I followed the instructions for installation properly.
