Through updates, yes, this is the reason they have a beta, so that they can make the game a better experience based on feedback from testers. Given that there's anything up to 6 months until the game hits stores it'd be silly to expect they would be doing nothing. Given that comments on the 'stuff' generally relate to the handling, I'd expect that it is currently a rather big priority for the team right now. That said, in the time-frame we've had, I doubt there's been a patch yet, so as t. said, it's probably just different input methods.

You had 100 posts, you had 100 posts taken away, it now says you have 7 posts... simple logic says that when (if :evil:) we give them back, we will see your current post count, then add 100 on to it.

Yeah, it's back apparently, The concept was shown to select dealers and it was approved for production almost instantly. Apparently it's going to be less road tamed race car and more luxury GT now.

Open beta is a nice way of saying 'oversized, unconstructive demo' jus' sayin'

I don't get it though, maybe they're going to tweak the physics, but so far their compromise between HC and Arcade is actually a rung on the ladder BELOW TDU1, that' not between the two, that's a step in completely the wrong direction.

Guys, whilst I'm aware of a certain 'Car' shown in the beta, I will not be adding it until it appears in officially released media... Remember, in a beta there will be vehicles that may not yet be licensed, and things can change. Oh, and it's a closed beta, we shouldn't know about the 'car' in question anyway, because we shouldn't have seen the contents of the game...

I'm available for the PC beta, although if they want an underpowered-crippled-by-flash OSX betatester, then i'm very available!

well, for those who say Atari doesn't care about us and we shouldn't try and help them as much as we do, just remember that Atari paid all expenses for Our own tame administrator to preview the game. We have a good relationship with Eden, and that could extend beyond just previews to other things in the long run. there is no point spoiling that relationship for things as trivial as people getting impatient

Atari and Eden are companies, a company makes money, fact of life. Yes, they have neglected us, but the only reason they show us stuff in the first place is to entice us into buying the game when it eventually comes out. Even though they probably don't want it to happen, they will gain publicity from this, and from the comments, it seems they are getting good publicity, which is lucky, because equally, they could have had bad publicity from people looking at an unfinished product, and making judgement on the final game from it. I'm not trying to defend Atari, but from a business perspective there's a lot at stake here, playing to the demands and curiosity of gamers doesn't make money, but showing them a high quality product they will want to buy does.

I have checked them out, but there's a couple of things you should realise... 1.) This shouldn't be publicity, because it shouldn't be public 2.) The reason it isn't an open beta (or a demo) is because the game is NOT READY yet, the game still needs things to be fixed or polished before it goes public 3.) There's only one "car" that isn't confirmed yet that is shown 4.) As much as the videos are showing, we shouldn't make a song and dance about them, Atari doesn't want us to see them, and we want to keep atari happy.
