If that's due to an embargo I will not be happy! You can atleast try to butter us up after the delay with something that's been in the works, something like maybe showing off the new sticker editor by writing the words sorry across the back end of a Ferrari 458 or something? :p

Yeah, and i've just realised, I didn't actually say my grades... My course was a joint course, with a BTEC National Diploma (18 Modules) In music Technology, which I got MMP in (*SO CLOSE* to MMM, missed out my 2 btec points, i.e. one grade bump) and also a 6 Module BTEC national award in music performance, which I got a P in Off to uni in the university of chester doing events management :D

Monstro, I've been following TDU longer than Diablo has... And I'm fine with the delay. Hell, the first one was nearly a year late (intended launch title for the 360) so when it comes to waiting, I don't mind, just as long as we get a better product because of it Oh, and for the record, you're supposed to respect your elders because they respect you. it's not about being 'elite' through number of years, it's about younger people being more immature and more disrespectful.

Yes, it's that time of year again, where us people from the UK find out how we've done in 6th Form/College, and for many of us we begin packing our bags for university. So, to all those who did well, congratulations, pat on the back, for those going to uni, good luck, and to those who may not have got what they hoped for, you're not alone, if you're devoted enough though, you can pull through. And for our Yung'uns, Good Luck with your GCSEs I didn't do great, and I knew what I got (I'm a BTEC student) but fortunately the University Of Chester are letting me in.

The Graphics in TDU are a different kind of good to other games methinks. The typical benchmark of Graphics is shininess IMO (Think GT5/PGR4) and those are games that translate really well into screenshots... TDU is a 'vibrant' type of good graphics. It doesn't look that good in screenshots, or videos (atleast in the type we've been shown) because it's less about the amount of polygons in a model, and more about the amount of polygons in the environment. In TDU the game feels more 'alive' and engrossing because there's a lot of small details that compliment the game, making it a good game experience... In my opinion the best TDU2 screenshot i've seen so far was Fabien's One-77, where you really get to see the scale and detail of the world you're playing in. If you ask me, good graphics are judged on playing a game, not just looking at it. I think TDU2 will be exceptional.

Ok, whilst we get the idea that getting worked up over the delay is both pointless and sad, we shouldn't resort to member bashing. Crying that the game has been delayed isn't going to help, and neither is shooting down members who do. (even if they do deserve it for doing it a bit... passionately) A couple of posts essentially saying 'grow up' are fair game, but we don't want new people signing up being scared of posting because they think that they'll get ripped o shreds for speaking their mind

I'll do it when I become a supermod and get the ability to... So yeah, that's another no unless hell freezes over :p

Atari now and Atari then are two completely different companies. The Atari we know now is a rebadged Infogrames, Old atari died pretty much with the Jaguar... /Tangent On the subject of the delay, It's probably for the best, as it's a very competitive christmas this year, and not being on the kinect bandwagon would probably hurt them in sales to the casuals... and ofcourse more 'core' games like GT5, Driver, NFSHP etc. aren't going to help either. Hopefully they'll use the extra time well. I mean, a few things i've seen reviewers comment on is the handling, the extra time could be used to tweak it (And have the beta testers evaluate it) as well as bring in some of the future DLC-Content, such as adding in motorbike physics from the box. Yep, I'm an optimist still :P

It doesn't looks as much as 'Clarkson, Hammond and May with funny accents' as teh australian one, which is a good thing, and the moonshine challenge looks pretty fun... But it does look like it was all recorded on a camera phone, seriously, the epic shots of the morgan and the lambo just don't work because the fidelity just isn't there. Edit: Does the moonshine run scream 'brainiac' to any of you? The way they shout and the chemistry they have is just so similar

If you buy a USB pen (say like, 8Gig) then you can install the second disk of content to your hard drive. fuji kaido, almafi coast and nurburgring are all on disk 2 so having it installed is certainly a must

Indeed, but saying that the thread is effectively pointless without actually looking at what it contains is pretty stupid. This thread is based around the announcement that fabien made to his own community regarding the beta. The largest piece of information you can extract from the report was that the beta hadn't yet actually started at the time of writing, hence the title. As you can tell by the discussion going on here though, it's not just teh matter of whether or not you can currently play the TDU2 beta in question. Otherwise every post would be like a long car drive with whiny kids in teh back, but instead of 'are we nearly there yet' it's 'can we play online yet'
