  1. looks like a right tidy motor there Baxie ... can't go wrong with Celicas
  2. Well I guess you're to some extent an exception to the rule as I'm sure your parents know a reasonable amount about the game ... having heard lots of shouting at an xbox in the background!!!!!
  3. yeah if you read the article it says they are gold plated not made of gold wheels made of gold and especially 24 carat would be way too soft ... oh and a 'tad' heavy
  4. my thoughts exactly ... isn't this going to be an 18 rated game?
  5. that makes the trains from here to London look quite pleasant!
  6. well unlike a lot of you I haven't pre-ordered the game ... I'll just pop in a store on the day and see if they have it ... if I don't get it on the day I can wait, it's ONLY a computer game afterall
  7. thanks Nodz for a great find ... yeah you'll be amazed at some of the 'test beds' us engineers come up with ... never heard of that one tho.
  8. Nige ... welcome to the real world ... I have to work on tuesday (general fact of life when you leave school/college/uni) normally leave home about 7.30am and get home about 6pm ... but then first time on the game, IF I manage to get a copy, I'll be doing the first couple of missions to get the story started and then if possible just going for a drive or a walk around the city to see whats what
  9. picture upload has never worked ... 'hopefully' they'll work something out for when TDU2 comes along
  10. I'd have liked to have said something from the VAG group ... Audi Coupe, VW Scirocco or Corrado but they all appear to have too much bhp Shiz could be correct as a 1990 Toyota Celica (5th Gen) 1.6 ST-i does fit the spec Yes Celicas are Coupes ... well that's what they call them although technically they shouldn't be called coupes as coupes are supposed to be a 2 dr variant of a 4 door and so should have a boot (trunk for all you american english speakers), however the Celica (at least in it's 7th Gen) actually has a hatchback
  11. Ford Escort Mk V with a catalyst ... possibly a Cabriolet?
  12. saw this on Autoblog ... looks like a nasty accident ... good to read that the Stunt driver wasn't seriously injured ... might not have been a standard spec car then as a lot of film work is done with HEAVILY modified cars For example the Z08 BMW was actually a Cobra kit car (or something like that) with panels on it to make it look like the Z08 (which hadn't started production) ... the Vanquish in "Die another Day" would have been a let down to lots of people as they had to swap the engine on some of the cars to fit the rockets and stuff in ... so I think it ended up having a Mustang engine ... Oh and Bonds Mondeo hire car as far as I'm aware was a late level prototype ... if you noticed Casino Royale had lots of 'Ford Group' (well what was Ford Group as it no longer includes Aston, Jag or Landie) cars in various scenes. But you still can't beat the Esprit in terms of Bond cars
  13. THIS IS NOT AN OPEN INVITE ... USUAL SUSPECTS ONLY YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! As we're all about to leave O'ahu for a while to head into the Metropolis of Liberty City I thought it would be good to all meet up and go for a drive around the island and to a few of our favourite silly locations. Title: The Usual Suspects When: 27/04/08 ... some point after 8pm (depending upon when people turn up really) The Cars: Whatever takes your fancy The Names on the List: 1. Hybrid IV - XJ220 2. Nodz86 - Weapon undecided 3. Baldred GTi - Gallardo 4. MCW92 - a wedding dress? 5. mellors men - a shopping trolley? 6. nige7 - Z06 7. khevolution - Vorsprung Durk Technik 8. reserved for newage custard ????? So Suspects ... are you going to turn up? and what will you drive?
  14. diablo has some capture thingy ... there might still be a thread about it somewhere
  15. lots of updates recently ... we only just had one on April fools didn't we?
  16. Cool advert ... my only question is this ... we know about all the places you can visit ... can you ride the coasters at 'Coney Island'? Advert does look very good ... I can some how see lots of people playing this game for hours and hour and hours and ... well you get the picture sounds like there's an awful lot to do and some really good touches with some stuff you just wouldn't think about putting in but makes it seem more of a 'world' as to the old top down GTAs ... Rockstar did at one point offer a free download of the pc version of one of the top downs
  17. my mate used to have one of those Camaros ... an RS in the Blue to be precise
  18. I read this thread and laughed ... it's like comparing apples to oranges ... both fruit but very different I know lots of people who have both a Wii and a 360/PS3 The Wii approach is quite refreshing and in some way back to how games used to be (remembering the old Grandstand console with a twist controller and the light gun) As to Nintendo being behind Sony and MS ... I laughed at that ... Nintendo have been in the game longer than anyone and have survived while lots of other companies have failed by coming up with fresh ideas ... just look at the sales of the DS and Wii ... anyone remember the Neo Geo, Atari Lynx, Jaguar, Dreamcast ... to name just a few might get a wii myself at some point ... depends on how star wars force unleashed uses the wiimote!
  19. have to agree with Baldred on that one ... can't stand him ... so hopefully you can shoot him!
  20. I didn't think you were old enough to drive? I'm not even sure if I'll let my Dad borrow it
  21. well all the stag do's I've been on have either been abroad or somewhere where we didn't need a car to get to as to school proms ... ahh the Americanisation of British society ... never had proms when I was a lad ... also I went to an all boys senior school (not entirely correct as there were normally a couple of girls each year in the sixth forms (when you do A-levels) that originally were at the girls equivalent of the boys school). ... back on topic ... theoretically you can 'stretch' most cars ... just look at what the top gear trio got up to ... it's just a case of how 'professional' you want it to look like ... if it's a slab sided vehicle mounted on a ladder chassis it's normally alot easier than a curvy unibody ... a stretched Veyron will be silly as like the stretched 360 it won't have much headroom ... the only reason for doing something like that is to make a 4 seater or something ... any that's just silly as it's been rumoured that Bugatti are considering that anyway
  22. Alfa Romeo 2.2 JTS Spider Limited Edition (1 of only 200 to be built) Carbonio Black with Ferrari Natural Leather (new for the 08MY 'freshening') sitting on 19" Ti wheels (off the 159 Ti) Hope to get a delivery date soon ... here's hoping it's in time for my birthday
