  1. I can't see an Italian company launching a car at the London Motorshow ... perhaps Frankfurt (Sept) or Paris (Oct)?
  2. Thanks for the correction Diablo ... I knew you are the fountain of all knowledge Lamborghini Oh I forgot I posted this thread a while ago .... http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=1300
  3. Well if I remember Lambo history correctly the SV is normally the last of a car series I think it was in the case of the Diablo? (Diablo please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) But you're right the Murci is pretty old now as it was the first of the cars under VAG ownership ... lets just hope the next is just as large and looney!
  4. There is a GOD! http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/232171/
  5. Hi guys, looks like I missed another good night of FM2 (never thought I'd say that) ... I was busy catching up on CSI:Miamis and also had an early night as I was knackered. I'll be around tonight if anyone fancies it? yeah looks like racing 'stock' vehicles is the best idea with FM2
  6. just read this ... well i was expecting it to be expensive ... remember Guitar Hero is 60-70 quid ... this contains a guitar, a drum kit and a mic checked play.com ... from the Major Nelson article ... and they have 40 for the game and 100 for the controllers (excluding the odd pence), however does the kit only include 1 guitar as I thought it was a 4 player with 2 guitars? in which case thats an extra 60 quid ... so a 200 quid game all in! I think I'll convince a mate of mine to shell out for it instead
  7. was great fun guys ... even if I did crash way too much!
  8. yeah just look at how protective the Spanish press are of Alonso
  9. Erm, we're already at it ... aren't you forgetting ... the MINI and FIAT 500? my best mate owned a Manta GTE ... diabolical car as to the Capri ... I always lusted over a Capri Laser with the 2 tone paint job when I was a kid as to them returning ... I can't see Ford or Opel/GM producing a modern replacement ... I don't think either company has a platform with a North-South engine layout that can be used in Europe ... and these days the numbers most probably just won't figure
  10. No white is definitely in at the moment ... not too sure how much longer it'll have as a colour but it's the current 'trendy' colour to have on cars ... lots of new white TTs round by me As to the pics ... nice cars ... apart from the abused Bentley ... but the guy in the white vest top has the right idea http://forum.turboduck.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=3366&d=1207474666
  11. nige, yes you are allowed to support a non-brit if you so wish ... as I have said many a time before I used to support Ayrton Senna as to your comment about the british press ... you are forgetting they do the same for everyone ... Gazza, Rooney to name 2 such 'Wonder-kids' from a different sport
  12. but I wouldn't ... I'd be spending 300 quid on a ps3 with GT5 prologue ... and then a few quid for an HDMI splitter (about 20 I think) or 600 quid for a new amp with an inbuilt HDMI splitter yes my tv has only 1 HDMI as I bought it when Telewest/Virgin HD first came out! so a ps3 could cost me 900 quid! ... plus games and extra controller etc
  13. looks great ... but I must not buckle ... must wait for full GT5 ... must wait for full GT5
  14. Nige ... as you quoted me and also took the liberty to convert some of my test to bold ... as you may notice I was saying Lewis had a bad race as it was his mistake with the start and also catching up with the news post-race it appears Lewis made the mistake with the Alonso incident ... such is motorsport ... just look at Kimi the other time when he kept on going on the dirt.
  15. I always laugh at the Saleen / Enzos comparisons ... There's a Multiplayer race in the South East corner of the map that heads anti-clockwise along the coast road where it's a dual carriageway ... one day while bored I ventured back into Multiplayer races ... found a group of kids all in their Saleens ... I turned up in my Enzo ... they sped off from the start and started to insult me in my slow European (insert swear word here) ... at this point a) I realised they were American kids and b) I had a smirk on my face as I knew what was coming next along the road ... and then we hit the bends ... ok they're not sharp bends on that stretch of road ... but theyre enought to unsettle a Saleen going full tilt ... and so they all slid into the dirt and I promptly drove through the middle of them keeping a steady pace laughing all the way to the finish line. And the moral of the story is this ... a fast car in a straight line might not go round bends! Oh also don't pay too much attention to the 'Stats' they don't tell you how the acceleration comes ... the XJ220 for one takes a while to get going ... but then picks up at higher speed ... and also you'll find some giant killers in there which the stats don't give ... just try a Skyline on the mountain roads!
  16. Congrats to Massa on a flawless win ... But congrats most of all to BMW Sauber, a few commentators thought they were running light in quali ... obviously not too light As to the 'Wonder Kid' as nige so eloquently puts it ... well looks like he cocked up the start big time ... as to the incident with Alonso ... I know the team have said they won't ask the Stewards for an inquiry as there is nothing to gain in terms of points and Spain is the next race and McLaren/Lewis having a go at Alonso would go down like a lead balloon ... but as Blundell said at the end of the programme I think it should be investigated (it's very simple to do as the telemetry from the car will tell you what Alonso was doing coming out of the bend compared to other laps) as if he did deliberately lift or lift/brake for no aparent reason that is dangerous and could be classed as unsporting behaviour. Lets just hope above anything else that this season continues to be interesting for all the right reasons ... at the moment we have 3 teams on the ball and 6 drivers that all have the skill and at this point in time the car to win the championship
  17. Well sorry to rain on everyones parade but the chances of that car being built (especially by Ford) are somewhere between not a lot and zero. As Nodz says this is from an Automotive Design graduate in Coventry (UK, just in case there are other Coventrys in the world). As part of their design course they'll have to come up with a concept for a vehicle. The course in Coventry is widely recognised and the designs from the students (I think they may be their final year project) often get published to the world, either in UK car magazines and of course these days the internet. But I can't see this car ever being built ... as with pretty much 99.99% of the other designs that get shown from Coventry students ... as I said this is likely to be his final year project so something that'll contribute towards his final grade and also be a 'look at me' for him to get a job somewhere. Now on to some more things ... well the car itself is a typical styling concept if you look at the size of the glasshouse with respect to the body it's tiny and the lateral head clearance zone looks non-existant ... you couldn't have the 'spots' on the front of the car as standard due to Pedestrian Impact requirements in Europe ... and on to the Ford things ... they don't have a small RWD platform (I don't class the Mustang as small) As to the names ... all car companies, not just Ford decide to change names every now and then when they feel a replacement product needs to be distanced from the outgoing product ... hence Cortina became Sierra became Mondeo and Escort became Focus As to the Ohh can we have those in our country ... there seems to be an awful lot of chat in general at the moment from Americans wanting European cars ... and a few have made there way over before (but unfortunately been downgraded in the process) ... Obviously the Mk I Focus was both Europe and the States ... yes I know they had different front bumpers and that was to do with the safety requirements varying between the territories and also a thought about the differing styling requirements. One thing americans often forget is how expensive cars are in Europe compared to the states (and yes I'm aware that there are a lot of countries that cars cost more than the UK ... I think Scandinavia is one but lets leave that for another discussion) ... as to giving you bland cars I for one would love the Mustang to be here in the UK in RHD spec at 'similar' money to in america ... also the Camaro and Challenger are highly likely to never make it in RHD to these shores ... but most of our 'standard' cars are just as boring ... just take a look at the new Renault Laguna ... bland as hell!
  18. My dad had a Maroon 4 door Mk 1 GT with Dunlop D Wheels for 14 years ... great car ... apart from the black vinyl seats in the summer!
  19. Yeah lots of white stuff here too ... (not surprising really when Nodz has already posted) ... bit of a shock after Fridays 19C and sitting outside at the pub for lunch!
  20. Looks - like a 'generic' sportscar (as in racing classification) ... boring Speed - yes it's very quick in a straight line Acceleration - yes it gets there very quickly Pricing - Well race cars are supposed to be expensive I guess Handling - I didn't realise it had any? Oh mine is nail varnish pink by the way ... and yes I hate it ... a poor imitation of the McLaren F1
  21. NETGEAR ... never had a problem with them
  22. I normally use either the RS4(? ... 4 series saloon) or the Pontiac Firebird (yes you did read that correctly) for my off-roading. My rule of thumb is as per real world off roading ... just keep the car rolling ... attacking a hill at full pelt isn't always the best plan ... making bookmarks once you reach a 'flat spot' isn't a bad idea on a mountain climb ... just in case you fall off the side. Oh and the Plateau on the North West corner of the map is "Hybrid Mountain" ... I claimed it ages ago on the Forum (I think the official Atari one ... not too sure)
  23. Just read through the document ... thanks for including my suggestions ... NOT
  24. yeah it's quite difficult to catch people and ram them off the road in TDU isn't it Diablo ... Catching a Koeingsegggggggggg is going to be tough
  25. No the repeat I saw was Monday night ... 6-7pm (I think) still on ITV4
