  1. We still have new mods being created regularly :) However try not to bump too many old threads please, you should introduce yourself to the community Here :locked:
  2. Thanks, I'll lock this thread unless StarGT provides a working DL link :) :locked:
  3. Your Merc nerdy-ness comes in handy sometimes :cheeky: That explains that though I guess, I feel like it was time for a new generation for this car tbh, its competitors are too far ahead now.
  4. Is this counted as a facelift or a new generation (Having a new name might mean they count it as a new generation even though it technically isn't though? I dunno). The interior doesn't feel like it's had half as much effort put into it as the C-Class which is a shame considering The ML did quite well in sales figures didn't it? From the rear or rear 3/4 view most people probably wouldn't tell the difference between this one and the previous version. The tablet doesn't annoy me as much on this car for some reason, It puts me off the C-Class altogether (a bit dramatic I know) but I think the vents help blend it into the dash a bit here.
  5. 2015 Mercedes Benz GLE: Pic source: Autocar - Hybrid version available, 78g/km emissions and up to 86mpg. 436bhp and can travel for 18 miles on just electric power. - It's got those awful integrated exhaust tips. - It is distinctly meh is this thing, and how distinctly  is the front bumper of that AMG version. - The Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S (which to me takes the award for the worst name from the Mclaren MP4-12C) has 577bhp and 0-60 in 4.2. This thing doesn't seem to have found a comfortable place in the market in my opinion, the RR is the offroader and luxury interior one, the cayenne is the dynamic and sporty one, the Q7 is the ugly one, this one ain't pretty, but it doesn't seem to come best in any of those categories, is it the best all rounder (which I think was the range rover sport's area of expertise before this maybe)?
  6. We'll be giving the competition a small revamp to make it feel a bit fresher :) It'll be back, and the banners will be changed on time(ish) :nods:
  7. Martin Brundle on Twitter: Interesting development in what already seemed like a fairly suspicious crash by Alonso. What happened and why aren't they telling the truth?
  8. No he didn't, but that does seem like something I'd do :cheeky:
  9. Yah, mission achieved, reminds me of all those people that have fake nudes leaked on social media after getting hacked.
  10. Why, did you fancy getting punched? :p
  11. Except it wasn't him that 'whined' like a cow to the BBC, it was JC that reported it. I really hope that this isn't your actual stance on the whole thing and that you weren't being serious by that.
  12. It'd be hard to tempt me away from these two, even though I'm not a big fan of most of the generations that came inbetween, though I think that just makes me love these 2 generations even more:
  13. BBC own the TG branding don't they? JC sold his share a few years back for a fair bit of money. I can't see a show called topgear continuing on another channel.
  14. Isn't Clarkson quite "in" with Rebekah Brooks (and therefore Rupert Murdoch?) anyway? It makes Sky snapping him up seem more plausible. As for BTCC, That's usually for proper car fans, which aren't necessarily top gears main audience anymore.
  15. It sounds like Jeremy needs help to be honest, after his divorce, the amount of alcohol he drinks, this attack and being sacked by what essentially is his vocation, he'll need strong support to come out the other side of this in one piece, he's still in his 50s afterall. I'm by no means trying to find an excuse for what happened with the producer, but such a quick and extreme snap in character makes me think he had a breakdown.
  16. I'd say that he makes made up a hell of a lot of what made TopGear TopGear, though Hammond and May brought things to the table too, they worked well as a trio. I'm sad he's sacked but I also think it's the right decision, I hope the producer's life can go back to relative normalness now on another TV show. I do believe this might be the end of TG as the often great show we'll remember it to be, I have absolutely no trust in the BBC finding a decent replacement. I'm not Chris Evan's biggest fan but he's a huge car nut and already has a large career in broadcasting so I wouldn't see it as him trying to get himself more ££ or limelight if he took the position, however I can't say the same about all the other names being thrown around.
  17. Jeremy Clarkson on Twitter: So if Clarkson hasn't heard a thing, the BBC is opening itself up for more criticism if they have leaks to "sources" etc. This whole thing just got to a whole new level  IBTimes UK on Twitter:
  18. What if you had a dog that needed to go to the vet or something? They wouldn't be that good in that situation :p Remember these would be the only 2 vehicles in your garage, therefore your daily driver. If you're allergic to all pets and have already had a vasectomy then i'm sure your suggestions would be fine :cheeky:
  19. Hey guys, Inspired by a post on Jalopnik yesterday. If you had to choose two generations of the same vehicle as the only cars in your garage what would you choose? Price isn't important, if they don't necessarily share the same moniker but you think the bloodline is close enough post it and we'll decide :) So would you go for a classic Dukes of Hazard '69 Dodge Charger alonside a '15 Charger Hellcat, or are you more the classic robust Toyota and cruiser/modern day luxury land cruiser kinda guy? Post links to actual examples for sale if you can :nods: (Anyone trying to pass off a Mclaren GTR Longtail as their daily driver will be sneered at and judged)
  20. Yours seems very 'company/fleet' car, or a lease car. In that it's had a few boxes ticked, but the bare minimum, the smaller but not basic alloys etc. Nice but if you're paying the premium for an Audi, I'd say it's worth saving that much extra for the S-Line, or if the sporty look isn't to your tastes, just a few more options mainly on the interior.
  21. Well that was inevitable. I can't imagine the decision will go down smoothly with some people, but fair play to the BBC for making their decision in spite of that.
  22. I think I might have spent a lot more on options than you :leaves:
  23. Don't go too far with it guys, keep it relatively on topic :duck: The Sandero being in a truck simulator though, I hope
