  1. I've seen a review of the Type-R where they have a look at the vents up close and question whether they actually do much, Honda insist they do, but even if they're not 100% fake, some of them are, or the holes are so small that there's no way they're not there for more than just show. Either way i'd prefer my car to corner slightly worse and not have them, they're awful, it's a family car at the end of the day, yes for young men but if he wasn't family orientated they'd probably be looking at slightly used Caymans or Boxsters to put on the drive instead. Also, a 308 GTI and Type-R is definitely not like comparing a Viper and a Polo :oook:
  2. Well Peugeot have obviously put some thought into it or else they wouldn't have bothered with the LSD, though I know that isn't everything. At the end of the day these cars will rarely be on the track so cornering isn't that big a deal either. There's not much you can do to win me over to the type-r, it's 2015's equivalent to this in my opinion, i'd rather walk:
  3. Civic Type R: 300bhp, 0-60 claimed to be 5.7 seconds. 308 GTI: 270bhp, 0-60 6 seconds. I'll be more than happy being 0.3 seconds slower to be in a car that doesn't look like the type-r. This is peugeot's first proper stab at a hot hatch in a fair while, so I wouldn't expect it to be class leading.
  4. A LEGEND HATH RETURNED Source: Topgear Peugeot 308 GTI. Looks rather good :hmmm: If you don't spec the two-tone paint you've got a very tasteful hot-hatch, similar to the Golf GTI in that it's quite understated and well, classy compared to the new Civic Type-R, though matching tracksuits, gold chains and primark are all more classy in comparison to the civic, ANYTHING is. Two versions: - 250bhp: 0-60 in 6.2 secs (£26,555) - GTI 270bhp: 0-60 in 6 secs, carbon disk brakes, limited slip diff up front (£28,155). I like :nods:
  5. Yup. Pretty amazing hybrid game idea imo :D i haven't been so won over by a game in absolutely ages, i imagine this will be released once i've graduated so hopefully will be able to spend 100% of my life on it
  6. It's the new A5, I put it in the thread title but forgot to put it in my post :)
  7. Source: AutoExpress Safe to say it isn't going to be anything too radical, though it's a VAG product so expecting anything else is naive. Surely the main focus will be weight-saving, wasn't the old one a bit of a tank? :hmmm:
  8. So a bunch of new games just got announced at E3. If one gif sums up how most people are most likely feeling it's this: What games are you going to be pre-ordering or puchasing before the end of the year and which games are you going to wait until post-release to see what the reviews and discounts are like? :)
  9. I don't mind Evans too much, I think if they bring new people in and try and make it as close to the old topgear as possible they'll fail miserably. They need to think outside of the box and let the new people in charge use artistic licence to bring about a new TG worth watching. However.... Food for thought
  10. My jaw hit the floor when this came on at the end of E3's press conference, it looks absolutely amazing: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands: - Huge open world, the map genuinely looks immense. - The different ways of completing the missions: Long Range, Ambush, Stealth etc - The different vehicles, Drones, Bikes, Planes (For skydiving), helicopters, boats. - The variety of missions, terrains, night/day cycle, weather. No real details on the game so far, we've got a long wait until release I imagine. Ubisoft just stole E3 for me. Is this not everything you've ever wanted in a game? I want it. I WANT IT NOW.
  11. It could possibly be an X6 yes: http://images.thecarconnection.com/hug/2014-bmw-x6-series_100434506_h.jpg Thanks for posting this by the way, always nice to see new faces contributing to the TDUCK community! It's appreciated.
  12. Well that will most likely mean you'll be able to race te 918, the P1 and LaFiat around the TG Test Track  Ferrari won't be happy.
  13. Porsche are coming to Forza Horizon 2, surely getting them into Motorsport 6 would have been a bigger objective, will they come in a DLC or do you think they signed the deal a bit late to add it into 6?
  14. Those NFS physics looked god damn awful. Those NFS graphics looked god damn amazing. That NFS Customisation looked rather god damn interesting.
  15. Regarding Forza 6, weren't people worried about them not being able to offer as many tracks and cars if they introduce Night and Weather races? With 26 locations and 450 forzavista cars (how many non vista cars were in the previous games?), how does that compare to people's expectations? They've added more cars*, more locations*, weather, nighttime, what more do people want before they get WOOOO FORZA?!, did the leak take the edge out of the announcement that much? If so, poor Turn10. *In comparison to Forza 5 anyway.
  16. Hey :duck:s, So one of the big announcements alongside backwards compatibility at 2015's MS E3 conference was the announcement of a new Elite Wireless Controller: - Hair Trigger Locks - More precise/accurate toggles - Rear mounted gear-shift leaves - Customizable usability - Swappable Components - Windows 10 Compatible The current standard wireless controller retails at $59.99/£44.99, so the new one will probably have some kind of elite pricetag to match. Will you be upgrading to the Elite controller? Is this just a fad aimed at CoD 14 year olds that simply must kill as many n00bs as possible? New buttons have been introduced, how will gaming companies introduce usability to these buttons if not everyone will have them? Unless new Xbox Ones will ship with this controller. If new games are designed with the Elite controller in mind, will you have a fairly lesser experience on your standard amateur controller?
  17. Yup, never been interested in Minecraft, never played it before, but dayum that VR demo made me want it badly.
  18. That Tomb Raider definitely has my interest though, much better than previous versions of the game. Fable Legends? From what i've seen so far it's removed every part of Fable that I used to love.
  19. The unmentionable game looked pretty meh, I didn't like what they showed as it just seemed too hectic. They through so much at us so we couldn't really focus on much, it seems they're really trying their hardest to turn it into a film franchise. Recore does look cool though :)
  20. So much want. RWD, Manual, V6S Coupé is probably the best spec F-Type you can get :hmmm:
  21. I tend to look forward to Ubisoft's stream the most for some reason, not just for AC but the splinter cell and ghost recon games etc are always interesting. I'm pretty sure Ubisoft confirmed it'll be Aisha Tyler hosting it again, she's pretty cool :)
  22. I've seen pushchairs for babies with bigger rims than that thing :p Never heard of Ogle before, so the obligatory Google 'DID YOU MEAN OPEL!?' came up haha. The founder of the company, David Ogle, was killed in a crash in one of those SX1000s  Not exactly a flying endorsement to purchase one.
  23. Either the two teams didn't work together well, Cosworth couldn't find realistically contribute to finances or the parts provided simply weren't suitable for the Bloodhound as you're correct: 2010: Cosworth providing eletronics and Fuel Pump: Cosworth Group F1 engine and electronics announced as key components in 1,000 mph SuperSonic Car | BLOODHOUND SSC 2013: Cosworth and Bloodhound SSC's partnership has come to a close: Bloodhound and Cosworth partnership to close | BLOODHOUND SSC 2014: Jaguar come into the picture the F-Type's V8 engine: JAGUAR SUPPORTS BLOODHOUND SSC RECORD BID | BLOODHOUND SSC How weird :hmmm: Either way, glad they stuck with british engineering.
  24. Well timed update, I imagine they did it purposefully to coincide with the 7-Series release, a bit like 'Oi, don't forget about us!'. That car is 6 years old, I think the few facelifts it's had over the past 6 years have kept it looking pretty contemporary as some cars really start to date in 6 years. It was always a bit of a left-field choice compared to the German 3, and I still think it should be considered among them even though it and the A8 are much older than the S and new 7 Series. If it were my money, I think you'd be hard pushed to convince me to avoid getting a S-Class at the moment, and I think the XJ would be in second place but I think that's probably due to the whole patriotic brit jaguaaaaaaarrrrr thing. When is the next A8 due, 2016?
  25. Do you think this lack of multiplayer means they've put more effort into the single player story? I'd like to think so, but gaming producers have seemed to be downright intent on destroying single player gaming for the past half a decade if not longer in favour of Online connectivity, so I'm not sure.
