  1. Well 60gb was the only EU one with back compatability and they stopped making them before Xmas with the last being sold in Jan/Feb. 80gb have never been officially sold here as far as I know and 40gb took over from the 20gb as being the basic version. So atm he is still limited to a 40gb unless he waits for the 120gb and hopes it has back compatability. Or get a 40gb and a new ps2 for £70. Also with a back compatability one, he'll need to get a PS2 data transfer kit so that they data is on the HDD not memory crad. Trouble is they where sold last year for about £20 on play.com and is hong kong but where never released for sale in Game etc and have also stopped being sold now. this also makes me think there wont be another back compatability made for the UK/EU market. Also the reason why we don't have back compat is due to cost cutting to bring them here quicker iirc.
  2. I 2nd that but this is the 3rd release of a newer sku PS3 from the 60gb that did have it so tbh I doubt it will be coming, especially as they are still knocking out PS2's
  3. The trouble with that being is some people will not bother to sit there where as if you put a 24hr limit on posting elsewhere apart from the introduse yourself section, if you have an urgent question you can say hi and say i need help with such and such. And the bit about 24hrs before full access can be put in the validation email aswell.

When we was on the plane out there there was all the groups blokes and birds all in there matching t-shirts going there, one I remember quite well where the Magaluf Muff Divers who's motto was 'theres no muff to tough', lol

  5. I know what you mean, i did suggest that but it could be confusing but then you should always read the forum rules and if theres a note when you sign up aswell explaining and apologising that due to spammers these measures have been implemented then they should be ok.
  6. Everything basically, demo's can be upto 1gb+ and so can DLC. They also want you to purchase games online from Home rather than from shops. Music vids, music, films. Data from the games this can be between a couple of KB to MB to even 1GB. Then theres the system files and iirc you can run the game from the hdd or install parts to the hdd to make it run faster and have shorter or no loading times. If you have a back compatable one theres also your PS1 and PS2 data to have. PS1 games I think can be downloaded now (or is that for the PSP?? cant remember). They keep adding all the time Sony and M$ are gonner try and keep out doing each other HDD wise. Sony brought out a 60gb so M$ brought out a 120GB so now Sony have done a 160GB. Its a HDD war aswell.
  7. I'm members of sites where you cannot post until you have been accepted by a mod/admin or cannot use hotmail email addresses. Iirc there are restrictions over on some sections on Forza's official forum.
  8. I doubt thast will work as when data corrupts it cannot be read, meaning it can't read how much money you had to replace it.
  9. Thats just what I've read so I am not to sure, all I remember reading is that if you tranfer from a 20gb to a 120gb you cannot transfer it back to the 20gb. I ain't sure about if you tried to go from a 20gb to a 60gb if it would let you then move it to a 120gb or a new xbox.
  10. Well by 'X' amount I did mean around $10k as you will get some moving over millio9ns and getting all the cars at once and that'll just ruin the game. Especially online when you get someone with the game and is in an Enzo or CCX or Saleen on the 1st day.
  11. Just log onto xbox.com and go to manage account (iirc) then go to billing options and its all there to be played with. The trouble is you cannot delete a card. I had that problem when I let a mate use mine, we ended up putting his dads on there so to get rid of my card number off it.
  12. A tory or a labour bloke moaned about the video being a waste of taxpayers money, but the makers turned round and said it cost nothing to make.
  13. They do renew automatically but I'm sure they send you a reminder a month before either via email or on xbl.
  14. 33. Can get 1 Locked car of your choice (the concepts), so you get a second one. 34. You can transfer 'X' amount of money from TDU to TDU 2 as a thank you to keeping with the series thus you being able to start with a better car or mod it more. 35. Bot cars become unlocked and can be purchased from one of the unused dealers (police cars, fire engines, trucks, school buses, cars, vans, 4x4, etc) and the default car and bike. (we must be able to paint them aswell).
  15. How about new members can only post in the introduce yourself section 1st, then either after 24hrs or after a mod approves them they can post elsewhere then this limits to where the spam goes and hinders the spam bots.

Equipped with Bluetooth® functionality, the Wireless Keypad can be paired to PS3 by simply connecting the keypad to the USB cable that comes bundled with the PS3 system. Also, two shortcut buttons, a Communication Button and a Message Box Button, are placed on the lower part of the Wireless Keypad, enabling users to jump to pre-set features on XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) such as “Friends” and “Message Box” during game play, which help PS3 users to smoothly communicate with each other. Additionally, a Touch Pad Button allows PS3 users to use the entire surface of the keypad as a touch pad, allowing them to easily maneuver the pointer while web browsing, simply by sliding their finger on the keypad surface. Wireless Keypad For PLAYSTATION®3 To Be Introduced This Holiday Season Worldwide More and more exclusive software titles that will support text chat feature are scheduled for release towards the end of the year including LittleBigPlanet™ (SCEI). Turkey?? We went Alcudia, Majorca. It was good and shar knew nothing about it gave her the tickets at 11am on the weds (her b'day) and was driving to the airport at 10am the next day. She loved it was a nice hotel (need to get some pics onto the thread as it goes). You going away anywhere??

  20. Well my budget went from £500 to £750 but now its looking to be £1k the way its going. I need to calm down. Still cheaper than the Alienware ones I was looking at.
  21. Haha, seems that way. The thing is I always go to OTT or think the more i spend the better it'll be, I also don't intend to upgrad for a good while neither. Also not having a clue what the numbers all mean don't really help. I've got this weeks Micro Mart mag which talks about Mobo's and what ones do what. lol
  22. Cool, Yorkfield it is then (as its newer). I was mainly wondering what the difference was. These are the 2 Mobo's I'm looking at: Asus P5Q Premium http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=818516 Asus Maximus II Formula http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=846081 With this CPU: http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=743028
  23. It does not void the warrenty and it comes with the transfer cable (good job as the wait for one if you upgrade console to an elite say is 3 months). Also I just done a search on Play.com and the 120gb is on £70 (£10 more than a 20gb) now used to be £100+. One thing is that after you have transfered it all to the new HDD you can't transfer it anymore to any other HDD's.
  24. K, thatnks for the link Iced. I keep trying to Rep you but I need to get myslef about a bit before it lets me give you some.
  25. k, cheers Iced, greta help as always. I'm dreading putting this lot together when I actually get it. Edit: Scan now don't do the CPU I was gonna get so now I'm stuck on that. Also whats the difference between yorkfield and kentsfield?? (Intel CPU)
