  1. Remove all unwanted processes too. Helps a lot. Also, try some of these - http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=7045
  2. Wooohooo, during one of our online races (first time in a heli, hence the 4th) the game spoke to me :D [imglink]http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/qq59/IcedBullet2/GTA%20IV/GTAIV2008-12-10.jpg[/imglink]
  3. GTA IV doesn't lag on mine. And on many rigs. Alright, it doesn't have full (draw distance has been reduced) (even though it's set to it), but with a 1gb GPU (fits this budget just), it should be fine. Not on Max, but that's what the developers did. Futureproof'ed it. Hopefully the patch makes it more optomised =) (next few days) Originally set for today.
  4. RGSC user name is Iced Bullet, It's in the videos :) LIVE is Iced Bulle7 (as my profile says <----------)
  5. Thanks :D ___________________________________ "Hummer 4x4 Freeway Fail" Date: 9th December '08 Duration: 0:36 - Not very long, just snapped it whilst trying to cross to the other side of the Freeway to pay the toll - Better than HQ - Better than Normal
  6. GTA deserves it's own thread
  7. Post 'em up :D There is no specific photomode (that I know of) so you can either Print Screen and save in Photoshop, or use FRAPS to take screenshots of the game (like I did). Unless you think this should go in the GTA Discussion thread? 8. :D I flicked between the .png and .jpg and for the life of me cannot spot any difference (however small). Plus the .jpg is half the file size. So noone is worse off. Diablo is happy and you're still happy as you can make us all 100% envious of your rig still! Nice shot btw :) I like the koeni ones too! :D
  9. You don't have to remove the link completely ! :D
  10. Loz, remember the 500kb file size limit. I have already told you. Please remove the last picture. I let the last 2 go, but again, I don;t think I can justify it? .jpg does just fine. Unless you compare them both in detail you wouldn't say the .jpg was crap quality.
  11. Exactly what I was thinking. I mean, I cant even see AA problems in his screenshots ... I think it's OCD
  12. Benchmark test: :D Probably would die after 60 mins of playing. I tested for 40mins y'day and it didn't crash.   14. That sounds very good! I might try it =}
  15. Consider going for a more powerful Code2Duo, rather than Quad. rFactor and TDU will use the extra power/per core giving better performance. However games (GTA IV) are starting to encorporated Quad now too. So the choice is yours. Quad (2.4ghz) is better for video editing etc. Dual (3.0ghz) is slightly better for gaming. Also, go to the OEM version for the CPU + a different fan (stock ones are aparently worse than 3rd party ones) (like this) Also, dont you mention needing an OS in the 1st post?
  16. Render in 720p !! to get HD :D
  17. Nice finalé =D Shame about the quality, I agree :(
  18. "We've got low reserves" & "We gotta clean this mess up" are the best ones =D +rep!
  19. Nice videos :) I prefered the lol'factor of the first video!
  20. Thanks :D That means a lot :D as no doubt you've watched quite a few :p The annoying thing is you have to guess when the last section of footage finishes. One time it saved only 8 seconds and others 50 :S so you end up with loads of overlap when saving, if you want to do a sequential video ...
  21. When it doesn't let you select a higher Texture Quality.
  22. Somehow I managaed to get it running on everything FULL without any lag :S I'm guessing it's because I havn't strained it with high action shoointg or something ... For anyone who wants to remove the graphics limitation, create a text file called commandline.txt with: -norestrictions -nomemrestrict in C:\Program Files)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV
  23. Yeah it was CCTV :) Thanks Wooly for the comment. I might reedit it with the added finalé if I canbe bothered :)
  24. The UI is actually very simple, it's what you do with it that can produce great stuff! You effectively have free control of the camera. Can lock to people, things, game views and or have it free. Then you can speed up the playback, and add 1 of about 30 different visual filters. I used 3, I think. To make it look good, select key frames, and then you can ask the camera to fly between them, or to simply switch. Oh, you can also add music from the default music stations (not your own).
  25. My solutions (simple) are to: a)ask the guy what he did (if and when he fixes it). b) spend money on a new router.
