  1. Mellors said that "Nothing is certain here but maybe we could get some answers to the best and most popular questions."
  2. I thought the HD DVD drive was an optional extra? The BluRay drive in the PS3 is nowhere near as noisy as the one in the 360, and despite being able to install the content to the HDD, you still need the disc for verification to play games on the 360.
  3. It's just you. The rest of us have already read the rest of this thread.
  4. 92. To hold the wheel while the driver has a sneezing fit.
  5. The PS3 is the best DVD player I've ever used (the way it upscales), I've watched 2 BluRay discs on it too, was very nice. G25 support on the PS3 is brilliant - have used my wheel with GT5P, Ferrari Challenge, Supercar Challenge, and MCLA. All of them had good FFB and H shifter support. The XMB is easier to use, although I prefer the 360 for media streaming as it (so far) seems more reliable.
  6. I guess the chatbox isn't exactly standard HTML :)
  7. Hi there I was going to PM you but you have them disabled. I noticed you don't actually have a signature but appear to be copying it in manually. I'll still need to ask that you refrain from repeatedly posting the same large image in all of your posts so that we don't waste our users' bandwidth. ---------- Signatures shall be no more than 500 x 130 in width x height and no larger than 100KB in filesize ---------- Thanks

  8. You could always connect a USB or Bluetooth (via USB adapter) keyboard to the PS3
  9. TDUCk, This is an English speaking forum only.
  10. Hmm - looks like any other 911 to me
  11. Gotta add some Jamiroquai and Empire of the Sun They both wear weird headgear but the music is pretty catchy
  12. Yeah, the pedal controls can be a pain to setup. For me, I had to hold the pedal in before I hit enter to choose the gas/brake controls. Then, when it asked me to choose the control, I released the pedal, and now it works fine in game.
  13. Welcome to TDUC, GALOP1N I've obviously missed your intro thread
  14. It's not the same (esp in TDU), but it is a good head start to get the co-ordination happening. Then it's only a matter of a few minutes to an hour to get used to a particular car. Every car drives different. NFS is probably the best game (ProStreet or Shift) to test your clutch skills on. In TDU you can push the clutch pedal down 2 millimeters and you could change gear. I hope TDU2 adds more realism in this respect.
  15. Hi terzer. I'm not sure if you are still working on this car or not, but I noticed last night while in the cockpit view, that if I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or the right, the hands go through the wheel (try it to see what I mean). Also, having the 'N' for Neutral gear on the dash was a little offputting imo. Thanks for the car though. The default 360CS sound was awful, and I didn't find a new sound mod after searching for 3 minutes (although I'm sure there is one somewhere by now - I think there was a link in one of the previous pages), so I just used the F430 sound.
  16. Did you switch to the simulation mode and use a wheel? I actually find it pretty challenging (I lost every race I tried yesterday, need to practice a bit more)
  17. From memory there are about 10 or so real cars (they look like real ones anyway). There is a choice between arcade and sim physics modes
  18. Yeah, you definitely will want a new cooler if you want to o/c for any real length of time. There are some pretty good all-in-one water cooling kits out there. A few have been video reviewed over at http://www.3dgameman.com
  19. I was about to make a start on that Tom, but there's already a TDU FAQ thread there. If there is enough support for the idea, then maybe I'll reconsider.
  20. Make sure the PSU that you get is at least 500W (I'd go for 600+ in case you ever upgrade other stuff later on, plus it's good to have a little extra). You also will want to consider the efficiency rating (80%+ efficient is good). There are other features to check for (all cost money of course), but head over to http://www.3dgameman.com and watch a few PSU video reviews. Thermal and Power Specs: Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) 105 C Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) 182 W Minimum Recommended System Power (W) 500 W Supplementary Power Connectors 6-pin x2
  21. You probably want to join an Overclockers forum to ask about this. I've considered doing this once or twice but I never seem to have the time for it. The most I've ever done is force up the fan speed on my old graphics card, which died two months ago... (I've got a GTX 480 now, so it's all good). I don't really need to o/c anything I guess.
  22. I bought a new G25 on Ebay in mid 2007 for $260 - it's a great wheel. Did you end up finding one cheap?
  23. Do a Google search for XBCD, or click here: http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download Enables extra parts of XBOX 360 controller (although since using Windows 7 the Microsoft drivers are fine), and it lets you manually turn on the vibraters (good for a massage, seriously) :D
  24. I've had the problem in the past, I just downloaded a different version of Fraps. I think I'm running v2.9.8 atm
