  1. It's not the same (esp in TDU), but it is a good head start to get the co-ordination happening. Then it's only a matter of a few minutes to an hour to get used to a particular car. Every car drives different. NFS is probably the best game (ProStreet or Shift) to test your clutch skills on. In TDU you can push the clutch pedal down 2 millimeters and you could change gear. I hope TDU2 adds more realism in this respect.
  2. Hi terzer. I'm not sure if you are still working on this car or not, but I noticed last night while in the cockpit view, that if I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left or the right, the hands go through the wheel (try it to see what I mean). Also, having the 'N' for Neutral gear on the dash was a little offputting imo. Thanks for the car though. The default 360CS sound was awful, and I didn't find a new sound mod after searching for 3 minutes (although I'm sure there is one somewhere by now - I think there was a link in one of the previous pages), so I just used the F430 sound.
  3. Did you switch to the simulation mode and use a wheel? I actually find it pretty challenging (I lost every race I tried yesterday, need to practice a bit more)
  4. From memory there are about 10 or so real cars (they look like real ones anyway). There is a choice between arcade and sim physics modes
  5. Yeah, you definitely will want a new cooler if you want to o/c for any real length of time. There are some pretty good all-in-one water cooling kits out there. A few have been video reviewed over at http://www.3dgameman.com
  6. I was about to make a start on that Tom, but there's already a TDU FAQ thread there. If there is enough support for the idea, then maybe I'll reconsider.
  7. Make sure the PSU that you get is at least 500W (I'd go for 600+ in case you ever upgrade other stuff later on, plus it's good to have a little extra). You also will want to consider the efficiency rating (80%+ efficient is good). There are other features to check for (all cost money of course), but head over to http://www.3dgameman.com and watch a few PSU video reviews. Thermal and Power Specs: Maximum GPU Temperature (in C) 105 C Maximum Graphics Card Power (W) 182 W Minimum Recommended System Power (W) 500 W Supplementary Power Connectors 6-pin x2
  8. Try Ebay
  9. You probably want to join an Overclockers forum to ask about this. I've considered doing this once or twice but I never seem to have the time for it. The most I've ever done is force up the fan speed on my old graphics card, which died two months ago... (I've got a GTX 480 now, so it's all good). I don't really need to o/c anything I guess.
  10. I bought a new G25 on Ebay in mid 2007 for $260 - it's a great wheel. Did you end up finding one cheap?
  11. Do a Google search for XBCD, or click here: http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download Enables extra parts of XBOX 360 controller (although since using Windows 7 the Microsoft drivers are fine), and it lets you manually turn on the vibraters (good for a massage, seriously) :D
  12. I've had the problem in the past, I just downloaded a different version of Fraps. I think I'm running v2.9.8 atm
  13. TDU2 isn't out yet, so where else can you get your fix? I would like to propose this title: 'MOTORM4X Extreme Offroading' It has good graphics, good physics, good variety of races/challenges. Uhh, what else? Front and rear dif-locks, 4WD/2WD modes, Hi/Lo Gear, Fuel/Petrol Stations, Supports the G25's H shifter (although no clutch input, you can pretend there is one though). 3 smallish maps (forest, snow, desert) of good quality and with a weather system (rain, lightning, thunder, fog, snow, etc). No day/night cycle. Performance upgrades (springs, tyres, etc, etc). I bought the game from a shop for $20 to use it in an upcoming movie later for SpeedCarProductions. I had a quick stint again at 1080p and it looked very nice. No dasboard camera or TrackIR support unfortunately, but there are number of other views. Damage is also in game, which you need to pay for. Unfortunately I threw caution of the wind yesterday and drove flat out and managed to bankrupt myself, so I'll need to do a few races if I want to contine. Here are a couple of the official videos: Feel free to comment, ask questions, and recommend your own favourite offroading games.
  14. Hehe, I just noticed I wrote FUEL instead of fuel. Oh well, you've already quoted it now
  15. Those images were from 2007 and have been on here since around mid-last year. Anything could've changed since then, but most people have voted in favor of having FUEL as an option, and Eden have been including a lot of things that most people want, so who knows...
  16. Moved to the WIP section (the Beta section is currently restricted)
  17. Didn't they say an extra 600km of roads in O'ahu? I'm sure it's been posted here somewhere as well.
  18. Nice one, Mike.
  19. I'm sure there will be a way around it on the PC sooner or later. I reckon it's a decent system since it adds an element of risk since you're borrowing a car that you don't completely own. Trash your own cars, but if you want to use someone elses, you have to look after it, or you have to pay damages to the club treasurer.
  20. Thanks. Hopefully they make a 4th game with multiplayer. /ot
  21. If anyone wants some extra rep, it would be nice to have a 'RYZZA5' plate (nice for me at least). :)
  22. Is that Crash Time II or an older game. If so, I'll have to get back and finish off my career mode (I've already clocked CT3, was a great game for the price)
  23. Welcome to TDUC
  24. I won't be able to make it since it will be midnight then for me
  25. Maybe we only have to pay money if we damage a club car, whereas no financial penalty exists for our own cars. Guess we'll have to wait for an official answer.
