  1. TDU2 isn't out yet, so where else can you get your fix? I would like to propose this title: 'MOTORM4X Extreme Offroading' It has good graphics, good physics, good variety of races/challenges. Uhh, what else? Front and rear dif-locks, 4WD/2WD modes, Hi/Lo Gear, Fuel/Petrol Stations, Supports the G25's H shifter (although no clutch input, you can pretend there is one though). 3 smallish maps (forest, snow, desert) of good quality and with a weather system (rain, lightning, thunder, fog, snow, etc). No day/night cycle. Performance upgrades (springs, tyres, etc, etc). I bought the game from a shop for $20 to use it in an upcoming movie later for SpeedCarProductions. I had a quick stint again at 1080p and it looked very nice. No dasboard camera or TrackIR support unfortunately, but there are number of other views. Damage is also in game, which you need to pay for. Unfortunately I threw caution of the wind yesterday and drove flat out and managed to bankrupt myself, so I'll need to do a few races if I want to contine. Here are a couple of the official videos: Feel free to comment, ask questions, and recommend your own favourite offroading games.
  2. Hehe, I just noticed I wrote FUEL instead of fuel. Oh well, you've already quoted it now
  3. Those images were from 2007 and have been on here since around mid-last year. Anything could've changed since then, but most people have voted in favor of having FUEL as an option, and Eden have been including a lot of things that most people want, so who knows...
  4. Moved to the WIP section (the Beta section is currently restricted)
  5. Didn't they say an extra 600km of roads in O'ahu? I'm sure it's been posted here somewhere as well.
  6. I'm sure there will be a way around it on the PC sooner or later. I reckon it's a decent system since it adds an element of risk since you're borrowing a car that you don't completely own. Trash your own cars, but if you want to use someone elses, you have to look after it, or you have to pay damages to the club treasurer.
  7. Thanks. Hopefully they make a 4th game with multiplayer. /ot
  8. If anyone wants some extra rep, it would be nice to have a 'RYZZA5' plate (nice for me at least). :)
  9. Is that Crash Time II or an older game. If so, I'll have to get back and finish off my career mode (I've already clocked CT3, was a great game for the price)
  10. I won't be able to make it since it will be midnight then for me
  11. Maybe we only have to pay money if we damage a club car, whereas no financial penalty exists for our own cars. Guess we'll have to wait for an official answer.
  12. My xfire profile says that I've played TDU for at least 461 hours (xfire isn't running most of the time, the actual figure is probably 3 times as much). 20 seems pretty small in comparison. No, I'm not complaining, I think it's great. Also, it's a pretty loose estimation. Some could discover all the roads in TDU1 in about 6 hours, while others could dawdle and take a lot longer.
  13. Just read the article that goes with the video, there is more info written than spoken
  14. By the time this game comes out there will be no-one left to play it if they keep blowing up at this rate
  15. As long as you can buy an ejector seat upgrade for you car (like in 2F2F), we should be fine  GameSpot posts moved into a new thread in the TDU2 News section
  16. Moved posts to new thread I thought we weren't paying for damage? (doesn't really bother me either way I guess, as long as I'm not wasting tens of thousands of dollars every time I go for a cruise) Next paragraph:
  17. 87. Because the driver says your mum asked him to pick you up, and 88. He has lollies  ^I assume you're all old enough to know that's a joke
  18. You're joking, right? 11.30am + 1 = 12.30pm
  19. Codemasters is supposed to have an F1 racing game out later this year, Criterion Games are supposed to be making the next major Need for Speed game that comes out later this year, Gran Turismo 5 is supposedly coming out later this year, and we have less information about those games combined in comparison to TDU2. Sure, NFS and Codies have a shorter decelopment cycle, but we should be pretty grateful to Eden/NBP/Atari for the early revelations.
  20. Either 60 points is a heck of a lot, or 10 out of 60 to unlock O'ahu seems like too few IMO. The rest of the article was a good compliment of everything else we've read so far. Can you imagine pulling off an awesome, unrepeatable chain-drift only to have the car following you accidentally bump into you (or the car in front stop suddenly) and you lose all those points. :D
  21. Being good at an arcade racer promotes recklessness IRL. Spinning out in a realistic sim promotes more respect/wholesome fear when driving IRL
  22. Hehe, English to English is one of the few translations I can do without asking for Google's help :p
