  1. List a few reasons why you could/should be a passenger in TDU2 - see if we can make 100 (without repeating others). Here are a couple: 1. Get someone to show you how to drive properly 2. Hold the video camera while the driver shows off 3. Get a lift to the car dealer so you can pick up your new ride. 4. Get a lift to the airport.
  2. If it's true, then 70% is not brilliant, but it could've been less. If the remaining 30% are only Group F cars, then I wouldn't be too concerned
  3. I read somewhere that 70% of the sounds are new. Make of that what you will.
  4. Thanks. They should be sharp, I'm playing at 1920x1080 with 32x AA, 16x AF, and 8x Supersampling enabled at the moment. Sometimes Google compresses them too much, but at least they're always under 350kb.
  5. Back to normal... finally Considering I pay for 8mbps... grumble grumble
  6. Taking pics for the Downtown PotW thread: Nice bit of fog happening here: I don't know what Clarkson was on about when he said 4WD Lamborghinis weren't good drift cars  Ok. Very funny. Who's moved my house?
  7. I'm pretty sure I don't have a thread in here, so I better do something to fix that. Comments and requests are welcome, but I don't enhance my pics in anyway. They go straight from my savegame folder to my Google Pacasaweb albums (which I haven't organised very well). Less chit-chat, more pics. Who likes Zondas?
  8. When does it freeze.... when the profile is being saved? Try getting new video card drivers.
  9. Would you belive that after getting my 360 package I've spent more time playing Lego Batman and PGR4 than I have FM3?
  10. You can't change the limit, you just have to use the single player races on the map.
  11. Well at least there's an excuse in itself to have one or more versions of the WRX and Evo. If the physics are anything like DiRT2 I'll be a very happy monkey
  12. Nice work. Are you familiar with Dustwave? He's a bit more regular on the Europe TDU forums than here (as far as I know) but has quite a few great mixes available on his website: http://www.dustwave.net
  13. Hehe, I wasn't sure if the TDU2 FAQ on the official site was a direct response to this thread or not :)
  14. If I can suggest one improvement to the TDU2 map screen in the incorrect thread... currently in TDU1 the roads are grey if they're locked, and then blue(ish) when you drive on them. The only problem with that is when you want to get the achievement points for driving on every road. Once you do that, you often forget about some of the roads that you've only driven on once or twice. In TDU2, it would be good if the maps screen had a few more colours for roads. Grey for undiscovered roads, light/pale blue for roads you've barely driven on, darker blue for the main roads that you drive on every week. The scale should always be kept up to date. If I drive on a road heaps during the first two weeks of gameplay, it would show up as a dark blue. If I never drove on that road for the next 3 months, it would gradully become a light blue in comparison to the other roads that I had been driving on. (If, for some incomprehensible reason, I hadn't played the game at all for those 3 months, the colours wouldn't change at all).
  15. That's funny, today (Wednesday) is my day off as well.I'd personally rather have the trailer today rather than Friday.
  16. I've never done 150 IRL before, and short of trying to outrun a natural disaster I don't think I'll ever need to. The VW Golf that I'm planning to buy is apparantly capable of 220kph, but won't be going any faster than 110kph on certain Freeways if I want to keep my license :)
  17. I'd never do it in the dry either. I think it would have something to do with the drama of it all (doesn't rain that much here), and the (hopefully) challenging physics of being in the wet.
  18. I personally can't wait to go drifting in some twisties during a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain. Dunno why. Just do. :) I think Fizz is talking about PC users copying the .bnk files from TDU1 to TDU2, rather than Eden carrying over all the old cars, which I doubt they will. The only advantage to keeping them would be having more slots to replace with mods down the track. Otherwise, I have no need to keep a Zonda C12S when I can have a Zonda F or Cinque, for example.
  19. meh, beats crashing into someone or something. Schools don't have enough parking spaces as it is anyway :p
  20. My Internet connection reverts back to full speed tomorrow, so I'm ready for the trailer. I'm sure Lee wasn't waiting for me though :) I didn't know Pigeons could 'tweet' ...or read, for that matter
  21. I wouldn't mind if cars are shared between islands. Heck, I'd be happy if you could open a small menu and change your car mid-cruise while cruising online. I don't see any downside to including O'ahu again. Options are supposed to be a good thing. What's the alternative? Just have the one island (Ibiza)? Have another island which is much smaller (since upgrading O'ahu is quicker than building a new island)? If O'ahu was so bad would we really still be playing TDU anymore (how quickly did the maps in the last few NFS games get boring?). Sure, the external community and mods help a lot, but I have never, ever played a game as much or for as long as TDU. I do hope, though, that we are not required to 'discover' all of the roads in O'ahu again in order warp to them via the map. Maybe TDU2 can detect if TDU1 is installed, and import the savegame data from there to figure out what has already been discovered and go from there. Or they could unlock all of the old roads, and leave only the new ones locked. Or, since O'ahu is an unlockable achievement in itself, all of it's roads could be 'discovered' by default already. I'd be happy for them to keep the old discovery system in Ibiza, of course (which I'm sure they've improved in a few ways).
  22. FUEL had a very large and diverse environment, and look how quickly that game was dropped by the community. No point having a mega large area if there's hardly anything to do on it. Especially since they didn't have a map screen like TDU where you could see where the online players were.
  23. I don't think you can complain. In Victoria, Australia, you get your learner permit at 16, restricted license at 18, and full license at 21 (actually I think it's changed to 22 now).
