  1. Thanks mate
  2. My xfire profile says that I've played TDU for at least 461 hours (xfire isn't running most of the time, the actual figure is probably 3 times as much). 20 seems pretty small in comparison. No, I'm not complaining, I think it's great. Also, it's a pretty loose estimation. Some could discover all the roads in TDU1 in about 6 hours, while others could dawdle and take a lot longer.
  3. Just read the article that goes with the video, there is more info written than spoken
  4. By the time this game comes out there will be no-one left to play it if they keep blowing up at this rate
  5. As long as you can buy an ejector seat upgrade for you car (like in 2F2F), we should be fine  GameSpot posts moved into a new thread in the TDU2 News section
  6. Moved posts to new thread I thought we weren't paying for damage? (doesn't really bother me either way I guess, as long as I'm not wasting tens of thousands of dollars every time I go for a cruise) Next paragraph:
  7. 87. Because the driver says your mum asked him to pick you up, and 88. He has lollies  ^I assume you're all old enough to know that's a joke
  8. You're joking, right? 11.30am + 1 = 12.30pm
  9. Codemasters is supposed to have an F1 racing game out later this year, Criterion Games are supposed to be making the next major Need for Speed game that comes out later this year, Gran Turismo 5 is supposedly coming out later this year, and we have less information about those games combined in comparison to TDU2. Sure, NFS and Codies have a shorter decelopment cycle, but we should be pretty grateful to Eden/NBP/Atari for the early revelations.
  10. Either 60 points is a heck of a lot, or 10 out of 60 to unlock O'ahu seems like too few IMO. The rest of the article was a good compliment of everything else we've read so far. Can you imagine pulling off an awesome, unrepeatable chain-drift only to have the car following you accidentally bump into you (or the car in front stop suddenly) and you lose all those points. :D
  11. Being good at an arcade racer promotes recklessness IRL. Spinning out in a realistic sim promotes more respect/wholesome fear when driving IRL
  12. Hehe, English to English is one of the few translations I can do without asking for Google's help :p
  13. I go driving in the fabulous Victorian mountains as well, and you're right Dredgey, playing TDU with a G25, TrackIR, ButtKicker, nVidia GTX 480, 24" LCD 1080p monitor isn't the same (although my back isn't quite as sore at the end of it). The advantage of playing TDU is that I can speed, drift, crash, cruise with friends, and I'm never more than 10 seconds from the pantry or bathroom should the need arise. Games that are nearly as good or immersive as real life provide an outlet for your need for speed, which means you don't have to hoon around and hurt someone in real life. If it can teach some basic car control as well, it might even save you if you ever do get into a spot of trouble on the roads.
  14. You have to be cruel to... oh, I forget the next bit
  15. Slippers with torches in them, I'm amazed it didn't happen sooner.
  16. I can do better than that, here is a complete transcript (minus the grunts and incorrect grammar):
  17. So we can go between O'ahu and Ibiza via yacht or plane, nice. Maybe the boat is instrumental in shipping cars between the two islands, although I sort-of doubt it. Then again, before purchasing the yacht, maybe you do have to buy cars twice at each island, or maybe each island only sells some of the cars at various dealers, and not all??? I like how the guy talks about the fantastic graphics, car details, and sense of speed (in an Audi TT) as well. Any previous doubts are now settled.
  18. I've got a cruise setup for Sunday at 11.30am GMT (2 spots spare atm). I'd like to team up with another PC player who hasn't got the achievement points for winning 30 ranked MP races, since I've yet to do that on my new profile. If someone else is available this weekend (preferably in the morning if you're in the UK or USA) then let me know.
  19. Sounds like more people want an autopilot mode rather than passenger mode, but anyway ;) 73. To show someone how to enable the drive-on-water trick, and then laugh when he finds out it doesn't exist in TDU2
  20. Oh, is that why we've been training pigeons recently I'm more impressed with their ability to read though. I must get a pair of those slippers
  21. What's the point of owning a G25 if it's arcade? Voted for semi-sim.
  22. The drit roads didn't look very real to me if I'm honest (in fact it reminded me of the ones from 1nsane Offroading), but I will continue to tell myself that it's an early build of the game and that the final build will look amazing. Also, keep in mind that rendering the game environment at its highest quality settings could take hours, so devs would rather render it at lower quality just to test the functional aspects of the game quicker and move on to the next problem sooner.
  23. In TDU1 you couldn't make the car roll over, which was a bad thing if you got stuck offroad on the steep mountain. At least now you will be able to roll down to the bottom.
  24. Apparently if the addon isn't activated you can sign in but get kicked off 5 minutes into playing the game with a generic Network Issues error
