  1. If I can suggest one improvement to the TDU2 map screen in the incorrect thread... currently in TDU1 the roads are grey if they're locked, and then blue(ish) when you drive on them. The only problem with that is when you want to get the achievement points for driving on every road. Once you do that, you often forget about some of the roads that you've only driven on once or twice. In TDU2, it would be good if the maps screen had a few more colours for roads. Grey for undiscovered roads, light/pale blue for roads you've barely driven on, darker blue for the main roads that you drive on every week. The scale should always be kept up to date. If I drive on a road heaps during the first two weeks of gameplay, it would show up as a dark blue. If I never drove on that road for the next 3 months, it would gradully become a light blue in comparison to the other roads that I had been driving on. (If, for some incomprehensible reason, I hadn't played the game at all for those 3 months, the colours wouldn't change at all).
  2. That's funny, today (Wednesday) is my day off as well.I'd personally rather have the trailer today rather than Friday.
  3. I've never done 150 IRL before, and short of trying to outrun a natural disaster I don't think I'll ever need to. The VW Golf that I'm planning to buy is apparantly capable of 220kph, but won't be going any faster than 110kph on certain Freeways if I want to keep my license :)
  4. I'd never do it in the dry either. I think it would have something to do with the drama of it all (doesn't rain that much here), and the (hopefully) challenging physics of being in the wet.
  5. I personally can't wait to go drifting in some twisties during a massive thunderstorm with heavy rain. Dunno why. Just do. :) I think Fizz is talking about PC users copying the .bnk files from TDU1 to TDU2, rather than Eden carrying over all the old cars, which I doubt they will. The only advantage to keeping them would be having more slots to replace with mods down the track. Otherwise, I have no need to keep a Zonda C12S when I can have a Zonda F or Cinque, for example.
  6. meh, beats crashing into someone or something. Schools don't have enough parking spaces as it is anyway :p
  7. My Internet connection reverts back to full speed tomorrow, so I'm ready for the trailer. I'm sure Lee wasn't waiting for me though :) I didn't know Pigeons could 'tweet' ...or read, for that matter
  8. I wouldn't mind if cars are shared between islands. Heck, I'd be happy if you could open a small menu and change your car mid-cruise while cruising online. I don't see any downside to including O'ahu again. Options are supposed to be a good thing. What's the alternative? Just have the one island (Ibiza)? Have another island which is much smaller (since upgrading O'ahu is quicker than building a new island)? If O'ahu was so bad would we really still be playing TDU anymore (how quickly did the maps in the last few NFS games get boring?). Sure, the external community and mods help a lot, but I have never, ever played a game as much or for as long as TDU. I do hope, though, that we are not required to 'discover' all of the roads in O'ahu again in order warp to them via the map. Maybe TDU2 can detect if TDU1 is installed, and import the savegame data from there to figure out what has already been discovered and go from there. Or they could unlock all of the old roads, and leave only the new ones locked. Or, since O'ahu is an unlockable achievement in itself, all of it's roads could be 'discovered' by default already. I'd be happy for them to keep the old discovery system in Ibiza, of course (which I'm sure they've improved in a few ways).
  9. FUEL had a very large and diverse environment, and look how quickly that game was dropped by the community. No point having a mega large area if there's hardly anything to do on it. Especially since they didn't have a map screen like TDU where you could see where the online players were.
  10. I don't think you can complain. In Victoria, Australia, you get your learner permit at 16, restricted license at 18, and full license at 21 (actually I think it's changed to 22 now).
  11. Congrats Have some rep
  12. In TDU, hit Esc, Options, Controls, last tab. Adjust the Linearity setting.
  13. Good news (although somewhat expected). Nice? I think that's taken care of ;)
  14. Welcome, mate :)
  15. I signed up to a forum last month where you had to post in the Introductions subforum before you could post anywhere. Might assist in growing the community. In my experience, when I sign up to a forum, it's because I want to reply to a particular thread, and being told to post here, read this, agree to that, can make you forget what you wanted to say, so you tend to skip over it. Maybe we can have a bit of a delay timer where a new member has 20 minutes to post where they wanted, and then the emails get sent to them reminding them to read the rules, invite them to introduce themselves, etc, etc. --- If I click one of the Gamertag icons for someone, the popup information shows fine. If I click one of these icons for my own account, the page just scrolls to the top. If I log out, then it's fine.
  16. Quick reminder guys: If you quote someone else's post, you need to remove the IMG tags from any quoted pictures. Thanks
  17. That picture of the Gumpert in the garage... it could be a clubhouse garage that you and your club-members can do burnouts in, until the club-owner finds out what you've done aand demands that you add money into the pool to repair damages :) Would be cool if you could control your car inside the garages this time. No more cutscenes when you go to a house, you drive your own car inside, and walk up the stairs into the house.
  18. Is it just me or does Eva look like she's a bit cross-eyed? :p
  19. Thanks for the pics "Dares" sound interesting - I wonder if they come from your friends or club members, random people you meet, or people in other clubs.
  20. NFS usually has around 50 cars in their games - and you reckon 175 isn't enough? Plus I'm sure there will be more DLC this time.
  21. Well, on my PC, DiRT, DiRT 2, and GRID are all just over 10GB. The largest game I have is FSX weighing in at 18GB. I have TDU installed 4 times on this PC (normal, winter, tropical, & alpine) which adds up to 30GB. ~15GB for TDU2 would sound about right.
  22. I still enjoy playing SSB occasionally on the PC (via the 'Project64' emulator) - works alright with the X360 controller for Windows.
  23. "all" is a bit exaggerated. TDU1 didn't have an achievement for buying every car or house. Buy 50 cars (amongst other things) to unlock it would sound more reasonable. How many Tony Hawks sequels had the original Warehouse level from the first game (was it 3, 4, or more???) :)
  24. Considering how many of us have exclaimed 'Wow' at the various environment mods that have been made in the past 6 months, I've got a feeling the devs with the source files will be able to make some pretty impressive improvements. I don't suppose the PC and 360 versions of the game will come on 2 DVDs? The PS3 obviously won't have any issues here (BluRay) ;)
