  1. Does someone want to pick a new theme for this? Everyone's was awesome.
  2. Pirated copies of Windows often include malware that can cause weird issues like this or compromise your personal data. I suggest you go legit ASAP.
  3. When you say NFS Road Challenge Andai I assume you mean NFS4 High Stakes? ;)
  4. It was good at the start but getting a bit silly at the end.
  5. 4mph eh? Guess we live in 2 different cities then :p Inner CBD is 60kph, and for the most part that speed is easily achievable. Only during small parts of peak or if there's an accident will the traffic crawl. Nearing the end of the year when people start to take leave from work traffic will be even better.
  6. Day of the VW 2011 (last Sunday) http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j353/fatmir305/IMG_1127.jpg http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j353/fatmir305/IMG_1130.jpg Not my pics.
  7. I haven't actually watched this yet, but I'm told it's epic and hillarious. It's a spoof following Ken Block's first two Gymkhana videos:
  8. Indeed - I will need to find some of those myself though. By the time we're done TDU1 might be considered retro :p [+] Added a list of car games - if you've got more let me know.
  9. Every year without fail, EA release a new NFS game, and we all bang on about how much better the old games were (or something like that anyway) ;) Well, I propose that we stop talking about these old games and start playing them, and then talk about them even more and share pics and videos just like they were released last week. I'm open to ideas, but my suggestion was to have some sort of schedule for upcoming retro games we'd like to play, giving members enough time to try and find these games (I won't judge how you get them since they won't be at your nearest game shop, however don't discuss illegal acquisitions here). You might also find them on eBay or perhaps a specialist Retro gaming shop). Each game on the schedule could be focussed on for 2-4 weeks, during which time we'd start the career modes from scratch, share pics/videos, race online (where possible), share instructions on how to get the games working on modern PCs if necessary, etc. For those with not-so-great PCs, this could be a great chance to play with us too. Post your feedback and suggestions in this thread. We can then start new threads for each retro game we play (with a 'Retro Gaming' prefix in the thread title). For starters we'd probably play the early Need for Speed games, starting from 2 or 3 and going up to at least Porsche Unleashed. We'd probably stick with car/racing games first but then if you want you can re-explore other genre's afterwards. Let me know if you're seriously interested in participating and I'll form a list of names below. TDUCk members who own or can acquire retro racing games and would like to play them again: 1. 10. Hehe, I've nearly forgotten how to accelerate slowly in my car. It's funny when pulling away when the lights go green to look in the rear view mirror once you've reached the speed limit to see that the cars behind have barely moved 5 meters. I wonder what goes through their head when they see a normal looking Golf do a vanishing act :p
  11. Yeah, but I find that if I plant my foot on the go pedal I quickly forget. :)
  12. hmmmm tough one. I'd probably go for a 7.5 or 8. I've driven for 7 years now and have good car control, know how to respond to changing grip levels etc when cruising on mountain roads, have no issues parking (not that I've had to reverse parallel park much recently). I also drive a lot on motorways and in the city where I work. Due to circumstances it's been quite a while since I've driven a manual, but I did drive MT for my first 2-3 years behind the wheel so I should be able to pick it up again after stalling a few times :p I've not done any real life racing but in sim races I can usually hold my own, however there are others I've raced with who have an uncanny ability to take some corners quite a bit faster than me with not problems, whereas if I speed up I'll understeer off the track, but there's a lot of other variables there. As JC said, if you don't enjoy driving, then you're probably not very good at it. I love driving, so I assume the opposite is true. :)
  13. Saw a yellow Corvette Stingray this morning
  14. Heading in game now (early since you two have cancelled) if anyone wants to join. JaLaRu will be joining me shortly too.
  15. The new coupe one? It looked pretty nice in the 5th Gear review
  16. Such as....? (Sure there are more important things out there but odds are we probably already have them). I see it more as a convergence device. If you don't have an MP3 player, GPS, camera, etc then it makes sense to get one device that does all those things rather than buy them separately.
  17. You can play at 7pm but I won't be there ;)
  18. a couple of rough spots but besides that very well done EK.
  19. Got up early and went out to have breakfast with some friends Then spent the morning with some other friends Then went out in the arvo to a park where I played soccer (football) and basketball with other friends (and got sunburnt, bit of a minus there) Then went out to another friends house this evening for tea with some other friends + met some new friends. Had a BBQ, played some games, played some Gypsy Kings songs on the guitar with another guy who is from Chile, and some other stuff. Finally arrived back home at 11.30am and I'm pooped. Good day though, and fantastic weather (30 degrees, not a cloud in the sky).
  20. Yeah same here. Usually only on smaller intersections though. Large ones have a separate lane/arrow turn signal. But yeah, if you can't see what's coming (or not), then don't just go and hope for the best. ;)
  21. ummmmmmmm these people. :cheeky: Great pics
  22. Make your mind up Andreaz :p I won't be hear Saturday either so you're welcome to play with maggit and anyone else if you want.
  23. ok I'll change it to Sunday and fix the time
  24. It crashes because you haven't read the instructions properly in regard to acquiring and installing the Magic Map file, which removes the file size restrictions. ;) http://forum.tdu-central.com/threads/16592-TDU-car-mod-FAQ-ver.-1.2-What-is-needed-what-is-possible-(for-now)
