  1. Hehe, nice one (although some of the red text is unreadable)
  2. My main line of though (which I was going to post when the server was down) is that as long as you keep the one set of forums instead of creating a second one, we should be fine. My reasoning for that is that a lot of us come here just to waste time in the chatbox. If you had two forums, you'd possibly have two chatboxes, splitting the current members. Maybe we'd attract more, not sure (rebranding might be helpful there). We seem to be doing ok just having one or two threads for each game, plus our generic screenshots and video threads, so maybe you don't have to worry too much about shuffling.
  3. Wow, lots of people care about what happens to TDUCk (only 11 votes) :)
  4. It'll run, but you'll be on low graphics settings and may still experience lag. patch/frube might be ok with 25FPS, but for smooth gaming you want at least 38FPS from my experience. Consoles generally run at 60FPS.
  5. Keep in mind also that just because a laptop has a good graphics chip, doesn't mean all games will support it (most devs say they don't test/support mobile (laptop) graphics adapters. TDU1 was a good case in point, I recall a number of noobs creating threads asking why such and such played fine on their laptop but TDU was awful. Buying an elCheapo laptop and putting the rest to a gaming PC is actually a pretty decent idea. If you buy an old 2nd hand laptop however, chances are the battery life isn't very good (they deteriorate after 3 years). The laptop you linked to looks very nice, but the nVidia 550 chip (while new) won't be exactly fast, and that being the mobile version of it means even less performance (usually in favour of cooling and battery life). You could play older games on it no problem (think around the 2007 mark), but no garuntees with current games.
  6. Hehe - mine often says green but then I can't sign in beyond the Start screen.
  7. That's correct. Some mobo's are 20-pin, others are 24-pin, which is why the cable is in two pieces to cater for both. There should also be another 4-pin power cable that goes form the PSU to the mobo, usually near where the I/O shield and ports go. Most mobo's have more SATA connections than you need (unless you have 4 HDDs and 2 DVD burners like I do), and while they are numbered, you can get away with using any of the ones available - whatever's easiest to access and provides the best airflow. Modular is definately better, but depending on how your case is structured internally, you may be able to carefully tie the unused cable with an elastic band and shove them under on of your HDDs if you've mounted it higher enough, and am not using a tool-less HDD cage of sorts.
  8. Would you like us to stick that on the fridge in the staff lounge? :) I was expecting it to be written in crayons :p
  9. Surprised no-one's made one of these yet - but here's a thread to share videos about upcoming (racing?) games and devices and discuss. I wanted to share this Forza 4 video, imparticularly around the 7:30 mark where I found out that car info/stats has been recorded audibly by Jeremy Clarkson:
  10. I barely made it to the end of that video, but the last one was a bit funnier
  11. The real crime is those people who are blocking the view of those cars by sitting in front of them. :p
  12. A dyslexic man walks into a bra... :leaves: Nice blonde joke there Andreaz
  13. Would less people in the photo make it under 350kb? :cheeky:
  14. Play something else? :p Sometimes a router reboot or an ipconfig release + renew does the trick (although mine stays green but just doesn't sign in), sometimes it's just dodgey for a week then fixes itself.
  15. You can't have apostrophies in URLs, it'll become a %xx code (like space = %20)
  16. I can't find the entire clip in decent quality :(
  17. Is threatening staff members a bannable offense? :p
  18. Because Ken hasn't posted any photos :nnnn:
  19. 1. I think I know you - you're the one who keeps making GT5 competitions :p 2. You can on PC, no idea about PS3 3. Nope, go find a portable radio or MP3 player 4. I can't (on PC), and don't plan on playing TDU2 anytime soon. 5. An executive member of the club would have to send you an invite, which means they'd have to have your game-name on one of their lists (i.e. friends list, recent players, etc) or just be in the same session as you.
  20. Where did you find that Lemur, TDUF?
  21. Must be a pretty hard place to find, eh? :p
  22. You realise only Super Mods and higher can make name changes :oook: *waits for Mellors to do it* :p
  23. You just don't want your name changed to DRIVERFREAK500 :)
  24. Your forgetting about the Albanian's though... :p Do we have any Albanian users? :hmmm: *Will only make sense if you watched that TopGear Albanian episode
