  1. The A700 has full manual controls (Av, Tv, and M modes), so you don't need a DSLR for that ;) In your case though you the easiest thing is to either add some -ve exposure compensation or use the spot metering. Both of which your camera has, so read the manual :p
  2. You don't have that button on this sub-forum :p
  3. My first CD game was Loom (voice acting!!) 1992. Ah the things we take for granted.. I also remember paying for an expansion to Strike commander than did nothing else but add speech!
  4. I couldn't list mine, it's too long. I generally only buy games that I'll keep playing, but that means I'm very bad at throwing them away. I think the earliest PC game I've still got is F15 Strike Eagle II, and then it goes on from there :p My most commonly played ones (about 20?) are on a long shelf, the rest are stacked in boxes. Ah.. I just noticed you said in your cd/dvd collection. That narrows it down a little, as quite a few of mine are floppies (both 5 1/4 and 3 1/2).
  5. I'd change that to second race. Melbourne isn't a good indicator either.
  6. Donington Park! (not a response to the above post)
  7. Tell me, how do you spell: Дмитрий Шостакович ? Is it Dimitri Shostakovich or Schostakowitsch? Or to take another composer, is it Rakmaninov, or Rachmaninoff?
  8. It's quite normal. You are simply practising philosophy, and epistemology in particular. Reducing the external world to perception is what Descartes famously did in his Meditations, so that could be worth a read - though don't fall into the pit of sollopsism. Better might be a slight but important variation on that theme - idealism as put forward by Hegel. I also used to think about such things a lot, from an earlier age than 8 as well, and I didn't turn out tooo bad ;) Though now I'm much more of an empiricist (Hume). I really enjoyed studying philosophy and I expect you will too - the BEST starting place for all that is a fantastic book called 'Sophie's World' (Jostein Gaardner) - it's a great introduction to various philosophers and will make your head spin - just don't skip the boring bits!
  9. All makes that have ever existed in the entire world?
  10. You can't uninstall patches. You can apply patches wherever you install the game to. The only problem comes if your windows documents and settings is on a different partition to the rest of your windows system files.
  11. You mustn't patch before activating the game.
  12. That's the total memory available to your video card - ie includes system memory too. What's the dedicated video memory?
  13. Alright, someone's finally using the channels properly! Red button coverage shows every on-track session, and allows choice between: And online (iplayer) will match the above with HD video quality :D
  14. Tell him to buy the game +megapack (if he hasn't got his own copy) and stop using a crack :p
  15. Actually I guess it could be a game simulating you running away all the time...
  16. What do you think you do in a flight simulator? :p
  17. Good luck with that.. until anyone else figures out a way to represent dense foliage without movable 2d sprites ala speedtree :p
