  1. Very nice pics, everyone. But what's that flying wing up at the top, Kelvjy? A Sukhoi of some kind? -Leadfoot
  2. What I find strange (in a "I am horrified that people would do this" kind of way) is way movies are rated (and games too, I suppose). In the US, at least, there are two different kinds of violence. "War Violence" is PG-13 (parental guidance, 13 and older), but "Violence" and "Language" make it R (restricted, 18 and older). So what they're saying is that war and the idea of killing people from a different country for no reason whatsoever (I hate George Bush, by the way - can you tell?) is perfectly acceptable in their eyes, but if someone says the F-word, oh no, we all need to hide under our desks. -Leadfoot
  3. I understand that they're rare and that he didn't say it was a GT500. I just didn't understand that even a V6 Conv. was rare. :( Sorry. :o I don't want to start any more arguments, but, um... And because I have to make it ontopic, I saw a Corvette C1 yesterday. -Leadfoot
  4. Saw a Ferrari 400 today. I was in the car with my friend's older sister ( :D ) and might've slightly shouted "That's a Ferrari!" I have a feeling she thinks I'm weird. :fp: ____________ @Spongie: That's not a GT500. Sorry. It's actually a V6. :( -Leadfoot
  5. One day left. :) -Leadfoot
  6. Seeing as Z8s are still a hundred grand USD, and the Z4s is actually not bad, I'd say that's good. :) It does look nice, actually. -Leadfoot
  7. I was reading a column by an automotive journalist who was interviewed for the show, and what he said was that the station executives who were there kept trying to get him to say that he would be a "Captain Slow" figure. He realized that all they wanted to do was copy the original (a show of which he is a fan), moment for moment. Infuriated with this, he replied that he was not Captain Slow, and had once beat Dale Earnhart Jr. around a track in a Corvette Z06, gone 200 on the autobahn, and a host of other automotive achievements. The executives did not hire him. -Leadfoot
  8. Very nice choice of cars in all of your pics, but I especially like the BBS wheels on the Legacy. -Leadfoot
  9. Shhh! Don't tell him that! :p Not officially as of now - the rumor started when some people at the TDU2 forums noticed that several stores had spontaneously changed the release date to October 30, 2010. -Leadfoot
  10. Ladies and gentlemen, someone who gets it! You, FizzPenguin, have the right idea - it's a shame a lot of people at TDUC seem to be ignoring logic and posting angrily/impatiently/jealously/pointlessly about the beta that they're not in. Someone give this man a cookie! :) -Leadfoot
  11. Interesting (*puts on bomb suit*), but the silver/metal interior textures look a bit... bland. Jus' sayin'. It is WIP, after all. *Keeps bomb suit on just in case* -Leadfoot
  12. Very nice pics, guys! Lucky as ever with your car spots. :p In a bit, I'll post some from my trip to the Land of the Fat and the Lazy (more commonly referred to as New Jersey). -Leadfoot
  13. Mmmm, GPS! -Leadfoot
  14. You... you have that power? :p -Leadfoot
  15. Yeah, and it only took three years. -Leadfoot
  16. Rear window louvers, I believe. :) I wonder if this will trickle its way into the US? Please make it so, FIAT... -Leadfoot
  17. You, sir, are one lucky human being. Porsche 918 Spyder? Masonry DBS/One-77 hybrid (been looking it up, and it's actually not that ugly)? Cinque? Zonda F? -Leadfoot
  18. Just read an article about Namco Bandai exploring lots of other services (like pick-up career modes a la cloud computing), and from that and all the Twitbook integration stuff, it's somewhat likely that Pandora will be available. I'll keep hoping. -Leadfoot
  19. LOL, that was funny in a "I'm not actually allowed to say it's funny" kind of way. :p A group of Russain spammers (from the "USSR"? :cheeky: ) posted about ten pages worth of threads back in 2008 saying, in short, that they were angry and Atari should release DLCs/patches. The mods were deleting them nonstop until they finally got a hold of the spammers. -Leadfoot
  20. Those are UNBELIEVABLE! +Rep, very, very nice work. -Leadfoot
  21. I've been following most of your comments on the issue, and I think it would probably work to have the windows and roof key be the same. IE: Tap down arrow, lowers windows; tap down arrow again, lowers roof; tap down arrow again, raises windows (roof still down); tap down arrow again, raises roof. Car sealed. Yes, it would be infuriating, accidentally going too far and having to go through the whole cycle, but what's the alternative? Put two separate controls somewhere where we would probably bump them all the time and where they would replace something like the lights, wipers, or radio? Also, the roof up/down stages would be disabled at speeds higher than 30 mph, and effect only the windows. -Leadfoot
  22. Thanks. :o Then you, Pyrre, Des, Dan, and everyone else have to put up with a lot of static shots. :cheeky: But that's an interesting (scary?) idea, movie wise... -Leadfoot
  23. That Ferrari Challenge thing saddens me. I saw a race once (Lime Rock Park FTW!), and, of course, some of them fell off, smashing into lots of priceless pieces, etc. But then I remembered that these weren't teams, but businessmen who came down to Lime Rock for a bit of gentleman's motorsport and bought, trailered, and maintained their own cars. It's a different feeling seeing one of those be smashed to bits against concrete than, say, the nearly-identical Ferraris in ALMS race I had seen the day before. It's a lot like witnessing one of those fabled supercar crashes in person - completely different from a traditional race crash. :( -Leadfoot
  24. They (Lambo) had a reveal date set for their new flagship, but I can't remember what (or where) it was... That's the code name, I believe. -Leadfoot
