No bugs at all for me, I installed every one and tried as many as I could last night -
TDU-C Sound Mod Pack 3 *Now Released*
Captain_ClutchKick replied to S71NG3R's topic in Car Customization Mods
Success!! All you need to do to get any size sound in any car is sample a very, very small bit of it. Using a program like http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ that one, take the engine sound that is too big, zoom in very closely and look at the pattern of the oscillograph. You will notice that there is a very distinct repeating pattern. Simply highlight one of these phrases from a point at the beginning to the same placed point at the end (you might want to select some wobbly bits that may be in it too, for added roughness), press shift and play to loop it and voila - an engine sound you could use, less than a few milliseconds in length! -
This is how it should sound.

The red TVR is how they want you to think it sounds but in fact it will end up sounding rough after a few thousand miles, especially on idle like the blue/purple one -
TDU-C Sound Mod Pack 3 *Now Released*

I hate the BNK file size limiting... thing. I have a nice little prog called SUPER that can compress .wav files, but whenever I do it they aren't recognised by TDU for some reason and so they go silent. Anyone know the exact .wav file type TDU uses? I have tried ADPCM IMA, ADPCM MICROSOFT, WAV-(pcm16 little-endian) and WAV-(pcm U8) in mono but like I say the sounds are not played at all  -

Feedback! A few cars have issues with when the sound changes from one file into another. Often the pitch sounds odd or there are two completely different sounds that clash. Not sure about which car has a super/turbocharger and what don't, but some cars sounded like they had when in fact they hadn't and vice versa. The supercharged Saleen 'Stangs didn't have any audible supercharger, but the Extreme Coupe did. Maybe some cars must have the forced induction sound in common car and some in the files themselves. Another weird thing is that some cars had transmission whine even when in neutral Nonetheless, top work and credit to all involved, especially to the bloke who did the Spykers, they're mint. With the Spyker engines being derived from Audi engines, I think I will have a go at "Audifying" them for the V8 Audis, if nobody minds :D I'd better apologise right now for being a realism perfectionist ;) -
Dodge Viper New Mod
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Destiny_Unfair_86's topic in Car Customization Mods
Everything else, especially the new gagues, is fantastic, but the rims look odd to me because the Viper has 6-pin wheels. Most cars only have 5, hence those rims looking wierd. -
Brilliant! I might never need to buy a car of my own at all, as long as you highly-skilled and brilliant TDU modders continue to improve it ;)

Don't Caught Up On This! Fake!!!
Captain_ClutchKick replied to WROOM's topic in Car Customization Mods
Any god-like modder reading this... please make these fakes into proper TDU cars please, especially the Alfa Sportwagon, please :) -
Cool shop mods! Never really cared about where my clothes come from to be honest; Primark, occasionally TK Maxx and US novelty t-shirt websites is where my cloth comes from. I want to make my avatar look exactly like Agent 47 out of the Hitman series. Why? Why not! I've got a pretty close resemblance on the face, apart from a few things: Is it possible to change the "shaven head" and "no facial hair" hair styles so that they are, er, significantly balder but with a barcode on the back? Also, which file do I look at to make the red tie on the red tie and suit set redder? Finally, is it possible to make the black fingerless gloves into full black leather gloves?

"Your downloaded content has not been saved. You will be disconnected." Er... right. This was what happened almost instantly when I tried using a Gallardo Coupe in a race with the sound mod. Anyone else having issues? I then used the Gallardo SE from the standard game with the same sound mod and won it without being disconnected. What the hell is going on? EITD: This is insane. I selected a Lexus with fixed gear changing sounds, got a hundred yards down the road and then I was disconnected again, same error. When I loaded again I was disconnected instantly, before even having driven anywhere. Some consistency issue? How can I stop TDU from checking my sound files? ETDI: Ah, I understand now. Took a Dino 246 out to get a photo for POTW, but that had no mods and it errored again. It is the fact that I clicked rebuild game cache data in TDU Tools and my key for the megapack was lost. No magic cosistency error, I'm just a silly sod. "Saved" must be a euphemism for "paid for..." Before this thing is deleted though, could someone PM me what the name of the megapack key .txt file is? It's in the TDU directory, same as that radial file you need to keep deleting. EDTI: No, wait, I have a backup save, it's all cool now, delete this :)

TDU: PC Car Sound Upgrades! Pack 2 now ready!!

I like the TDU sound as it is. The top car magazine EVO reckons that the V12 in the Murcielago sounds stressed, I think TDU captures this perfectly :) -

zOMFG BLOOD IN GAMES CAUSES PPL TO MURDER EACH OTHER LMAO [/sarcasm] Hitman 2 was always good for moderate gore. Shooting somebody in the head with a silenced Beretta (the best silenced pistol sound in the world, in case you are wondering) and watching the chunks slip down the walls was most entertaining

Great pics, some of them look like something I'd want to put in my photography coursework... I'm inspired, I hope it's allowed for the next unit...

TDU: PC Car Sound Upgrades! Pack 2 now ready!!
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Mb's topic in Car Customization Mods
Real sounds FTW. But that French Challenge Stradale just sounds like a generic Honda VTEC 4-pot, not a singing Italian V8 :( The improved S6 sounds believeable enough, though :) -
TDU: PC Car Sound Upgrades! Pack 2 now ready!!
Captain_ClutchKick replied to Mb's topic in Car Customization Mods
That's what I'm doing, only with a PS2. How do you get cars to hold their revs? For the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale sound I'm trying to sample off NFS:HP2, it's difficult to get the car to hold 2000rpm on full throttle long enough to get a decent sound sample off it.
