    If you did it realistically, so that the performance of a custom car was a fair match for another in its class, say, giving a BMW M3 GTR similar performance to other cars in the C class, and a standard M3 similar to a Weissmann in class D, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem, as long as you don't replace a 300C with a Le Mans prototype!

    I dislike French cars. Their reliability issues are all true. I've worked for a week in a Peugeot garage and they have the stupidest faults and design flaws: air filters trapped between the block and the firewall so you need to pay a garage to change it for you, crappy plastic panels that never pop out, engine-destroying cambelt failures, and probably other things too. They are well-engineered - they break just after the warranty expires. My friend was in his mum's Citroen Berlingo on the motorway when a spring snapped, causing the car to collapse into the front wheel, nearly locking it up and causing a fatal 70mph spin. Fortunately it didn't collapse that far...

    Unfortunately, it is not easy to do that because EA give their sound effects very strange file types. I can't even import them as raw data with Audacity :( I'm working on it, there has to be a way! ;)

    Well, yeah, I'm 17, but I was working 12pm - 12am or 1pm - 1am sometimes, but mostly 6pm - 2am. It was fine with me, free taxi home after midnight, adult's job but adult's pay, minimum wage of £5.52/hour. They needed the staff, I needed the wedge, it was all cool, but they just got arsey when I couldn't work until 12 on a Sunday evening and so stopped calling me for shifts. I cannot take legal action because they never formally dismissed me, although it was implied... :oook:

The rest were the usual poor taste superminis with cheap alloys and Halfords bodykits, silver tail lights and pensioner-slaying exhaust and music systems that seem to plague this country...

    I was a waiter, but then they sacked me because I had college the next day and could not stay so the supervisors had to actually do work... I have no job at the moment, but there really aren't any, I handed out two dozen CVs to various places, but I have had nothing yet. Expecting a call of slave duty from the local Co-Op, which my mum works at and knows the folks. It will get better, I really want to do something special in politics because I really, really hate British politics as it is. Hate something... Change something!! ;)

    Every review I've read says the EEE PC 1000 is much better than the Wind. It isn't a poxy 8gb flash memory on a 7-inch screen like RB's sisters'. Send £350 to eBuyer and they'll get you an EEE 1000 with a new Intel Atom 1.6ghz, 10-inch screen, Windows XP PoS3, 80gb HDD and 1gb RAM as standard that will upgrade to 2gb. The battery is ideal for its intended use as an electronic note book at college, it can last 6 - 8 hours without needing a recharge. It is smaller than most other laptops, but it's heavier than a Wind, although I wouldn't buy a Wind because it has a sillier name... "I've got Wind!"/"I've got Es!" I made this thread in this section because I don't intend to use it for gaming, although the graphics memory eats into the RAM, so I will definitely upgrade and try ;)

    I just bought an EEE PC 1000, with Windoze and the 80gb hard disk. Looking forward to getting it, it is actually the first entirely new computer system I have ever bought! Anyone else have it or want to hear about what it's like when I get it?
