  3. Hi, that's been a while ! Just for you to know, TDUMT2 (Mini Bnk Manager) has just been released publicly. Have a look @ first post in this thread. again I'd like to thanks people who participated in this long term beta.... results are there ! :) Please mod well.

Not because that bothers me, obviously, but I think such a subject needs more visibility than just into this general tooling topic :) I hope someone will help you to find a solution anyway.

  6. An application should never ask to disable UAC. I'm sure your app is safe, but turning off the whole security system - for all apps - is rather insecure. Remember that non all people are safe browsing on the internet and don't care about security. At least the UAC prevents software from harming their computers. As an example TDUMT1 asks for administrator privileges when starting. That's just a meta to declare in your app config :)

Nice one, there are tons of work with it :) Some of those parameters are pure physics and should not be modifiable online; given that the game / servers apparently do not verify whether a modification has been made, a generic database edit tool is very dangerous. I would see a database reader tool at first step, then it should be able to change only safe parameters into this file. In addition, this tool has to extract from BNK, decrypt the database file and vice versa. For now I'm on the database reader when I've time to... and that's not huge ! The positive point is the BNK handling imo suit sthe most of needs (I know, some bugs still remain ;) ) - working on it is way less critical for the moment. And there won't be any patcher or scripts as I did for TDU1 - considering the bad feeling lots of people/modders had with it.
  8. Any issues with beta 3 - fix 1 ? Please let me know. If not, at the end of the week this can be considered as final version, that is 2.1.0.0 ! Will be released for public, finally :) Grouping as a set of tools (Texture Tools, Mini Bnk Manager) would be the step after !
  9. Good luck ! Texture Browser is not a standalone tool, it's a Zmodeler module ZModeler2 homepage ... very famous app for 3D designers/converters to mod games (including our TDUs :) )

It only affects ZModeler as TDU does not care of file names, only internal texture name (written into 2DB) matters for game engine :) This is a real issue though, contents should not be scrambled over files.... I will have a look btw. --- For testers experiencing bugs (and others), you may now download beta 3 - fix 1. @ the same link provided in invite. That does not solve the spot issue though, 3 days I've been scratching my head onto this without results, so it will stay as is for public release I think !

  13. Works now !!! (dvd retail) Any chance/trick to make it work with Steam version ? TDU2 still complains the game must be launched via Steam interface. If not, no worries anyway.

Again, sorry about that, I now get another error message: In english, 'A reference has been sent by the server' Moreover, my TDU2 registry key is in : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Atari\TDU2 since it's a 64 bit OS . Created a copy in other location you've given, but it did not solve the issue :ill:
  15. I'll be using it right now ! Thanks Knyazev ;) Edit: :( unfortunately , can't start the app. I'm getting the message : 'TDU2 : Universal Launcher has stopped running' Are all libraries included in release ? Tested on my dev PC, so everything updated and .net 3.5 installed of course !
  16. Good to know as well, I'll make a hotfix for this (when I discover why). Please 'dump' the BNK files, original + obtained after repack, then send me the DjeLib-dump.log file in Logs folder. Thanks in advance.

  22. That is properly amazing, so I can assume TDUMT beta 3 will follow shortly with repacking fixes :D As always, go go go ! Edit: since great news don't come alone, just repacked this one :) given that the amount of changes I had to do into the repacker to fix this, next version will not be final obviously ! Beta 3 will be before the week end if everything goes well
  23. Hey guys just to announce the 2 main problems about textures (seen here) and materials (faced by Oleg) may be solved by rearranging files in the repacked BNK in a different way. So I hope to bring you beta 3 next week :)
