  3. Thanks to all for testing so far. +rep , very promising ! It seems that samples will have to be adjusted from TDU1 to TDU2. But with new sample quality sound modders will make great things I believe :). Btw Dr G. and Jorge are on beta testing list ! Let's wish them good luck ! TDUMT2 beta is now in Oleg's hands, so perfect timing ! Everybody's working on it like in 2008, that's nice to see that :D
  4. That's what beta testing is for :) Btw thanks for your feedback, I'll send more invites when I get time today... and fix issues from tonight. Note that some bnks as the F458 are in TDU1 format, so the tool will not open it when in TDU2 mode, if that happens, please switch and try again.... I will make an automatic format recognition later. And indeed, TDU2 filter for Zmod is not ready yet. ++

  6. Testing in dev environment ended last night with success, globally :) We think it's very usable for beta testing, so I will send link to people during the day. Feel free to test what you want, -TDU1, TDU2- attack as many BNKs as possible :D Note : for TDU2, first you'll have to make your installed files in unpacked mode and patch launcher (instructions included). --- Edit ! invites sent, sorry for forgotten people, please PM me again to get yours ;)

Believe me or not, tomsolo, I'm working with XML files on a daily basis - and it's not even comparable to XMBF format - which is proprietary thus no spec on the internet does exist to show how to read it efficiently. That's not just because extension is xmb that it's binarized xml. Though you're right saying they are binary files... ;)

  14. This week, internal testing continues - especially with repacking HUD files for TDU1. Which can't be loaded by the game engine for weird reasons. If all goes as expected, volunteers will get a hand on this piece of crap next week. Without any guarantee as always, you know :)
  15. Unpacked TDU2 works, I have been told how to and have tested it recently. It was just a warning for people thinking I will make a BIG repacker - which thing I will never spend time on.
  16. yeah, sure for the people in charge... but as stated before repacking BIG files is not my business ;) Good luck for such people, if they ever come by here :) I assume one's TDU2 works @ exploded state.

Hi guys, just to let you know, we've achieved to get our first repacked BNKs for TDU1/ TDU2 ! don't misunderstand me, there is a need for heavy debugging now as game engine does not like the way I attempted to optimize files. A painful internal testing session begins ! once that done, I'll submit to modders for testing. Btw, huge thanks to rollingtheboy for support hour after hour. :)

  20. yes, that would be the deal... so far game seems to allow XMB changes made by hand, as I was just told by trustful source. So that's pretty good news ;) And yes, TDU2 sounds are way better (MSADPCM - 16 bit - 44Khz - Stereo <~> CD quality ) :D
  21. Thanks :) once BNK repacking under testing, I'll move myself to XMB reading. XMB is a widely-used file format among TDU1 & TDU2 files. In first one it was only used for sound configuration; in TDU2 it seems... wow... :eek: my goal is NOT to provide a mean to modify this file for dummies (as my Vehicle Manager did a while ago), rather give modders a generic ability to change properties into those XMB files - but they will have to discover which property is all about. Sure it will be kinda fun :coolspot: TDUMT2 will NOT unpack .big files as tools already do that now. later.
  22. Thanks for comments, whatever they should encourage me going further or stopping before 'wrong' things could be done. I won't engage myself in illimitate discuss here, my decision to go on is based on those simple facts : +first, I love TDU1 and a part of the modding job is not finished; seeing how its sequel does not provide fun gives me motivation to go further. TDUMT2 is primarly addressed to TDU1 with no guarantee for TDU2, as mentioned in first post. + BNK repacking does not add content to the game, at best it will allow to replace models by others - like in TDU1. If there are official addons packs WITH QUALITY, why would this prevent them to be sold ? Nascarbuc, don't try to accusate modders of destroying the game - it's already broken and most criticised facts won't be fixed. They said it. What is worse than continuing selling DLCs on a crappy base ? + If first DLC are not purchased anymore, blame people allowing to unlock contents which are already in the game. That's hacking and definely not my goal. + TDUMT2 is still at an early stage fore repacking, so no need for me to hold things on, won't be ready by tomorrow anyway - just because I've got a life. + TDU1 support has been quickly abandoned with a poor communication from ATARI - they never teach from their errors. I have no hope on TDU2 and no confidence in ATARI. I was fooled once, that's sufficient to me. My thought is if they are able to provide plenty of contents for TDU2 (and I seriously doubt about it) - some people will always buy them, modding or not. So I'm not worrying much for ATARI. Btw Nascarbug, you're from Nice as I can see. Salut à toi :)
  23. not sure if allowed of discussing of this here, but I think a tool (from Russia?) does exist to skip file check... dunno if it works since latest DLC update ! seeing how much some modders do require a repacker, we are very near of it :)
