Since I was practically isolated from TDUC for over a week, probably due some IP blocking affair, I was more often present on TDU2 forum and I can tell u what. THe biggest problem there is a total lack of active mods. I can't remember I actually saw some decent mod intervention, besides locking some good threads because few of them were start spamming. Instead of banning and cleaning from troll and spam posts, they just lock the complete thread every once in a while. All they need is a team of good admins to stop the anarchy.

Of course I tried every browser I have. Since my mate connected without any problem and he's on different ISP it became pretty obvious the problem lays in IP blocking. Is there any way for me to find out if they blocked my ISP's IP range for sure? So I could do some drastic measures here, sometimes in the future.

Guys I finally managed to connect to TDUC again, after almost a week! The problem seams to be some kind of IP blocking. I managed to connect via some free proxy. Now the question is who's blocking who's IP? How can I determine that, for a start? Please admins help me! :eek2:

I was referring to license rights, not services payments. When u buy a topographic map ur paying for the services, not anyone's act of creation, which the licensing is all about. The nature made the terrain, man only collected and processed the data that can be used in the game. If u measure the land on ur own, u should be free to use it anyway u want.

Are u sayin' that they had to pay for using Ibiza topographic data in the game, in addition to payin' for getting it in the first place? Or they altered the terrain a bit so they didn't have to pay for it twice? It would be too much I guess, topographic data is not man-made (the most of it, at least) so it shouldn't be licensed as such...:confused:

U should pointed that fact out from the start, it would have saved us from some needless arguing. AFAIK if u want to replicate anything and publish it for ur personal benefit, u should always check first it if it's already licensed. Even if it's a bannister or a flower pot, if it looks specially designed, maybe u would like to spare urself from the potential problems in the future....

So finally u'll be makin' photos with u on the driver seat for a change? Geez u'll be all over the place! :snack:

Not crazy at all. Those street lamps look specially designed so they could be someone's intellectual property. Lot of money is involved into the lighting design these days.

I bet they will use the special Hawaiian asphalt for the track :D Well, as an architect I have to say, I like it. I'm also quite surprised that this haven't been made in Dubai first! ;)

Yes this was one of the most annoying thing in TDU, at least for me. AFAIK there's no a proper solution for this, only some walkarounds. There's some sound mods that replace the tires squeeking sound with a squealing braking sound and that's much better if u ask me, but this eliminates the problem only with certain cars, not all of them....

Haven't been around for about 2 weeks so I missed the second trailer. Despite being the old news, I'd like to give my opinion about it. Frankly, I'm not quite trilled. I expected more. First few scenes got me a bit worried. Too much space on the disc might be lost for numerous completely irrelevant things. Are there gonna be dancing challenges? Who gives a damn about DJ pool parties if they got nothing to do with the actual gameplay? If it's incorporated somehow into the gameplay, let us see how. I didn't see much of a gameplay that have been announced for this trailer. Same cars, same graphics, a bit of new customizing features like plastic surgeon clinics (btw features like this don't grab my attention FOR much longer than few minutes, means another X Mb of disc space lost for me) Instead of this Sims crap, let us see some real driving game play with actual game sounds, no more soundtracks please! C'mon guys I know u can do better than this!

I was planning to do the same thing, with extra 2GB of RAM and a stronger GPU cooler. Hopefully this would be enough for this fall....;)

Well, everything besides the car itself. Graphical details, reflections, lighting is not perfect but far more natural than before, textures, especially road tarmac and curbs are better. Going too far with visuals would punish the players with a bit older specs and I think that would be a overall flaw.

It says 'just your wallet' , not 'or your wallet' so these two are not in contradiction. Aside the fact the first info was that repairs gonna be automatic and free of charge. I don't have a problem with either, both have its flaws and advantages.

Interesting idea, I would add a different fuel prices (I assume fuel in US is still cheaper than in Europe...=)) Also, money rewards for winning races and challenges should be different on each island, according to fuel prices and other expenses.

Indeed! The most important thing is to stay calm in those situations. If ur brain is quite used to deal with sudden-close-to-crash scenarios like in game, it will remain much clearer and have a better reaction. I know mine did, few times. On the other hand, this is individual, 'cause some1 may experience the opposite affect, like reflecting in game driving style into the reality, which would cause a bit reckless and fearless driving....

hey why not? And after the first major crash u'll be dead meat and won't be able to play TDU ever again! :thumbsup: :nuts:

She's got very good accent....for a French. And she's hot too...:D Wondering why they still hiding the cops. What is so fresh and brilliant with them they still don't wanna reveal? Maybe we'll be able to shoot them through the window? :cool:
