  1. This is what I have been saying for a long time. Mercs cross the line pretty often, but while the standard E-class look, I don't know, too round, doughy and overall meh, the wider fenders and overall bumper design make it look much better. I don't think they went overboard with the front end. Hm, maybe... slightly, but the V8 needs to be well fed so that it doesn't go into limp mode in Dubai during the summer. Its front air intakes are basically fully open. The press release says that Edition 1 will have stripes on the bottom of the doors. :burp:
  2. And I think they finally made it look pretty nice. By the way, who was it that said that the M5 was too dull and normal-looking? :cheeky:
  3. Yeah. I'd just buy a new (better) one. :p Have I posted the exhaust sound clip I made in summer? It turned out better than anticipated even though it was not the best placement regarding wind noise. I clipped the mic onto the diffuser right above the exhaust. Vocaroo | Voice message
  4. Here we go, zee new E 63 (S) 4MATIC+ INCLUDING DRIFT MODE - 571 PS / 750 Nm or 612 PS / 850 Nm - 9-speed MCT automatic gearbox - 17mm wider - AWD-only - three interiors: black, brown, beige - S version gets an e-diff, dynamic engine mounts, bigger brakes (can opt for CCBs, too), and DRIFT MODE YA HEAR ME - Edition One in matt black
  5. Which one did you buy and where did you attach it? Sounds bad lol
  6. 612 PS, 850 Nm in the S version. It will come with a new 9-speed MCT, too. Almost as much power as the SLR Mac but with more torque. In a friggin E-class.
  7. But this is just a concept thing, and merc's concepts always look way better than the real deal. :(
  8. Well, the words are in bold type so I guess that those two are the ones within the budget. Golf GTI and Rs are simply the best. Period. However, the A3 would be my choice given the fact that it is an Audi, it is newer, more modern + it is not a Mk6 Golf that you already have. No LEDs, and grey is meh, but that's just the nature of buying used cars. I would definitely ask about the reason he is selling it. Urgent sale. :hmmm:
  9. It seemed to me that Andreas did not 100% know that the PC version is infact a straight xBox port (discovered by a Forza forum member AFAIK), just that it felt to like him like one. As it turnsout, it was a misunderstanding on my part for which I apologize, Mr. Andreaz1 and Robik. I have not bought the game yet,so I am not as angry as him and any other people who cannot play the game due to performance issues. I've said in the past that I am waiting for the demo version to come out - not gonna buy the game without trying it first on my laptop. And yes, they've failed big time.
  10. K, I have re-read my and your posts and I still do not know what you are on about. How did you come to that conclusion (that it bothers me less than vehicle model mistakes)? Where and when do you think I implied/said that??
  11. I am struggling as to why a pick-up truck, though. I can't see it as a good family car - something that replaces, dunno, a Sharan or a van of some sort. Sure, you can put your dirty dogs on the bed and just power-wash all the mud when at home, but could you go to anywhere further than the UK, though? Not much space for luggage, kids and all the family stuff. Can't put it always outside on the bed, can you? You'd have buy a hardtop for it, then. That's another couple grand. Less pleasant on the highway, too big for the little roads here, etc. I could see it as a third car for shorter trips within the country with your pets when it's raining outside so you won't mind as much that it gets dirty. So now why spend all the money on the most expensive version? Just get a Multivan/Carravelle or a V-class and call it a day. Those are the best family cars ever. I am speaking from experience and I approve this message. :nods:
  12. Camo wraps are here just for publicity. The pick-up is probably doing some final testing and they're just fishing for website clicks as the reveal date is getting closer. There've been reports that the Mercedes-Benz version will indeed be different both outside and inside. However, compare this with the Merc above. Even the headlights look identical to me while the Renault Alaskan has a different front end. And if they won't even bother with redoing this, God help us all... I expect the worst, as usual. And the fact that all three will be built alongside each other in Argentina and Spain doesn't really help. But, maybe that's just me and my skeptical thinking. VW has recently facelifted the Amarok, as I am sure you know. They got rid of ALL four cylinder engines so now it's got only Audi-sourced 3.0 TDI's and 8-speed auto for which VW deserves lots of . That alone makes it automatically more premium than anything else. I am reading through the brochure and it's got bixenons, LED tails, 14-way leathersitze, new satnav, park sensors, etc., and even Alcantara headliner is available as a special-order option for three thousand euros, heh. I got to almost 57k in the top-spec dawg. Think it looks pretty nice and civilian outside in this spec (sans the roof lights and the rear bar). But honestly, it's still a workhorse that happens to have some luxury stuff. Can't expect some high-end materials and stuff. NVH, sound insulation and so forth will still be issues that might some people looking for something luxurious put off.
  13. NSX  That the dude with the blue Cressida, right?
  14. You know I really like the dark blue & beige leather combination. Can't really go wrong with that one on any car imho. Ferrari, Aston, Rolls, 911, last but not least 135i... :cheeese: Actually, looking at pics now, Mariana Blue looks very similar to BMW's Deep Sea Blue so I take it back and confirm that your choice was spot on. Vantage definitely must be Volcano Red.
  15. That would be my spec, too, but I think I'd go for Cobalt Blue and black dash instead of your beige. It still looks kind of busy and def not as nice as the DBS.
