Konichiva fellow members, since most mods are lately from the land of the raising sun,no point in me missing on the party!:D I bet a lot of you are punishing those poor scoobies right now aren't you? Well I've got a treat for you,a really nice(if I may say so:cool:) boxer engine noise for you to play with. I realize there was Saladine's version around for some time,but although good,I think it's a little bit unrefined and distorted;)(not that mine is perfect,but more choice can't be bad no?) Ok,enough blabering,there's one snag,if you use the sound on S4 like Tool intended,there's no turbo,that sucks in my book,so after a lot of bodyswaping the Scooby finaly found it's home in Merc CLK55. You'll say it's a RWD and you're right,but I'd rather have all my views/sound/look to my liking than insisting on a 4wd car. Also as you'll se in the clip,I used scandinavian flick,handbrake and other techniques to get that lazy arse to turn,which is one of TDU's bigger problems(HEAVY understeer),so it feels more like a 4wd than a rwd really!:cheeky: The pack contains the sound with BOV and also without it,and I threw in a gauge I made for myself in a hurry,it's not identical to the real thing,but it'll do for now.:) Few notes:Sound goes to 6700rpm. If you want it to sound exactly like mine,also pick up my common file which doubles the turbo volume and mutes more or less the transmission noises. Hi, I have this trouble sometimes : I have a sound mod working and I need to adjust the sound level of a sample. So I use the compressor or the volume adjuster etc. on this sample and re-import it in the bnk. After reloading the sound mod, it doesn't work anymore (no engine sound). Is that normal? How can I fix that? Thanks for help.

I would have posted this in the betas but for some reason i cannot start a new thread there, so I post it here... I've found a DVD with some onboard footage of a F288 GTO (ultra rare stuff :D) : ...and I tried to make a sound mod with it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFZLYwwpbDI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFZLYwwpbDI But the result is half satisfying : First, it may not sound so realistic when the car goes fast. This is due to the fact that the high rpm loop is based on a middle rpm sample (as the car never reaches very high speeds in the video). Plus the onhigh sample is not very long, so I had to copy and paste to make it longer which is not very good... Second, I am not sure if it's high pitched enough. Looks like the driver is going easy on the throttle and maybe he doesn't push the needle to the max, which means that I should set a higher tone to the sound mod (because he higher tone of the mod is based from the higher tone that the car reaches in the video). But if i do this, the result sounds really ridiculous (it's already weird, i would have used another recording if I had one), more like a Vespa than a sportcar and then I prefer to not release it. For example, in that other video, it sounds more high pitched when the guy push the throttle at 2:38 (and he doesnt even push it to the max) : oKRhFVV-BiU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKRhFVV-BiU What do you think? This sound comes from NFS Shift, it sounds realistic to me. Yes, it sounds a bit different than in Shift, because TDU uses samples with lower frequency. Hope you like it. This had been a tough one. Looks like i pulled it off finally. My scirocco revs up to 7500 rpm and i strongly recommend to edit yours aswell, using TDUPE or Djey's Modding Tools.:cheeky: I really hope you like it. hi guys, why everytime i replace one sound file i get out of sound in that car? i've try it with the 430...no sound after...i try with skyline...the same... it looks like everytime i "touch" some sound file it doesn't work anymore... i've v1.66a with megapack. pliz help....
