Test Drive Unlimited Platinum Patch Update 1.21

Incredible at what has become of this project. I have been looking for a way to play it again for years. It is such a trip to revisit what me and a friend go so excited to play after seeing video uploads on youtube of gameplay. Going from NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and a few other games from PS2. This just seemed so huge at the time, and it was at this time, to have a game provided as kids dreaming about a car game that would provide content as this game did, and a such a high level. Going from making your own free roam game using tracks on NFS HP2 to this was just insane! Opening car windows, radio, interior views, reflections, realisticish car sounds and shifting noise, tire spin and burnouts, details and textures, lighting, free roaming a giant island, playing online vs split screen, meeting new players, i mean do i need to go on. It will forever be probably more amazing in memories than I can ever get out of it again. But I have been so excited to play it again, and flooding memories. The countless hours offroading and exploring the island and seeing what could be done, working so hard for all those dream cars we each wanted. I swear that driving in the game on a tube TV with a Logitech sound system and a new Xbox 360, the video my mind made the gameplay made it seem even more real than it is on my 4k monitor now. (play dreaming). Maybe that is just growing up or being around now longer. Still impresses me how clear this mod game is and how much they have added. This is a must have if you have any good memories of the game.

A youtube video here helped me a lot as I know nothing about how to do this kind of stuff being a console player. so for anyone struggling with file handle watch this video.

• I do have a few questions. Can the in-game play menu or hit left and select options up/down as you use to be able to on controller, can that still be done?
• Can a controller with progressive triggers be used for gas and brake vs just on and off?
• I have it set to 4k res, 4x Anti-aliasing, 60, the cars seem to free out have some ghost cars that I hit, anything about this?
• I also have tried to do the fuel refill option, but cant seem to get it to load in?
• Last one, the pictures for the dealers or races when in the map do not show any info or image. any ideas?

Finally got the base mod running and I’m loving it. I tried updating to the 1.21 patch and when I copy the files into the mod it asks me to insert 6 disks. I downloaded the torrent file as well but there’s no instructions on what to do with it. Probably a user error but some help would be appreciated.

For those having the problem where the game stucks on the loading screen: Set both "TDU - Project Paradise Launcher.exe" and "TestDriveUnlimited.exe" files located on the game folder to run as administrator.

Because i can't download mode with torrent or mega for some reasons i don't why but plz can you upload them in mediafıre or drive both the mode and patches?

If this mod had the possibility to make bots use hardcore physics, it'd be perfect. Sadly, for some reason, they use non hardcore physics even when in hardcore mode, so you're forced to race against cheated bots that don't suffere HC mode physics and will always be way faster than you because of this, since they go on rails.

If only bots used HC physics and were kinda competitive with them, the game would be perfect.

Great mod ! This game and TDU2 are better than any open world driving games I ever played! I wish that it would be included the Camaro Iroc-z and Trans Am Firebird from the '90 s in this amazing mod ! Keep up the good work! The community will be happy!

Im having a problem. As i start a new game it gets stuck on the loading screen. Base game is starting with no problem.

Are there any other mirrors. Cant download. Unable to download from mega. Torrent is dead for few days now.

When i updated to the 1.21 patch (i had the 1.0 previously), i was on the US Muscle Car showroon, trying to find the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, and then, it's like it's gone. You know why of this? I'm crazy trying to find it, but i can't. Hope you can help me with this

El mod me encanta pero tengo un problema con una carrera llamada Bulevar Hawai de Clase F, al finalizarla se queda bug y no me deja finalizar la carrera, me aparece el hud de ganar pero no me dej salir de ahi, xq si mantengo click izquierdo la camara la puedo mover y hasta ahora solo en ese me paso
Edit 1: en la carrera El duelo es la unica solucion tambien esta bug y pasa lo mismo que la que mencione antes y esto perjudica la obtencion del Aston Martin Vulcan al no poder completar todas las carreras 

Can you someone send a direct download link? i cant download the file from mega cus you need a subscription, and i cant download it as a torrent because i have no idea to turn it into a zip

New here and trying to get the game running and I've been trying to get the patch loaded and seem to get a reoccurring error around the time I'm extracting the Vehicules folder. it sends me over 6000 different messages saying unavailable data. I couldn't extract the torrent version of the patch so I tried the other version and there were 6 different options?? only two worked but both came up with the same error. If anyone is active and knows how to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it!

UPDATE: If you use BitTorrent you can extract the zip file from the torrented version! If you cant get a subscription for the service it can take a couple hours but it worked and I'm not getting the error any longer so I'll post another update when I open up the game to see if it can run!

FINAL UPDATE: After getting it all set up i had to uninstall everything including the base game and reinstall everything and now it finally works. I hope my struggle will be helpful for anyone planning to do this in the future.

Im only having 1 issue tho, whenever i try to start the game, no issue at all, but the loading screen gets stuck whenever i try to start a new career; it doesnt crash or anything, it simply keeps loading for a while, up to 15 mins.
This happens while i only have the 1.0 version installed, so im not even gonna try and install the latest patch.
I did watch the tutorial on yt about it, but theres a cut where its hard to tell what hes actually passing over in the game folder.

Would love to just integrate the updates in TDU Platinum 1.0, it's a really big hassle to copy the files and not f something up, realizing, then having to do the process from the start.
