  1. Today, we got the announcement that TDU3, or better said, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is actually a thing. It's not a rumor anymore! TDU is back on the field! It was announced today, at Nacon Connection livestream, their first live event they did, it featured a couple of games they are working on, but really, what we all have been waiting for was some news for TDU3. And we got it in a form of a teaser and information presented by Alain Jarniou, Creative Director at KT Racing Studio and a former TDU1 and TDU2 dev.     This is my first (and probably only) mod for Test Drive Unlimited. It's is a mostly full replacement of all the songs from Test Drive Unlimited. Most of the songs are from other video games, while some are just songs that I personally like. Since the .zip file that includes all the music and files is too big to upload straight onto turboduck, the download will redirect to a Mediafire file which contains everything. How to Install 1: Copy and back-up every folder from Drive:\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Radio 2: Copy and back-up every file from Drive:\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Sound\Radio 3: Unzip the compressed folder 4: Paste the Euro folder included in the download to Drive:\Test Drive Unlimited\ 5: Make sure to accept the files being overwritten 6: Start the game, ane enjoy! Enjoy! This mod was built on top of Ztryka531's Immersive Radio Stations & DGST Music Pack.

  9. Hey people, I'm seriously having a blast with Test Drive Unlimited Platinum. Loving the nods to other popular culture in terms of the upgrades, too. The only thing that honestly surprises me is just how... Lacking the customization still is, in terms of updated clothing. So I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm requesting some new biker gear and custom clothing, like this: Biker helmets: - Shoei Xspirit 3 (Color variations could include the latest Marc Marquez design, as well as John McGuiness's 2019 helmet) - AGV Corsa R (With some variations based on Valentino Rossi's designs from 2019 and earlier, also featuring Barry Sheene and Guy Martin's design) - Arai RX7-V - Shark Race R helmet (Featuring a color variation based on Lorenzo's 2019 helmet) Biking suits are whatever, though some updated texturing + more color variations wouldn't hurt. As for clothing mods in general... Hmmmm, I'm thinking an Austin 3:16 t shirt for one. And for another, maybe some shirts based on music artists like Megadeth and such? Unsure really, but I'd appreciate it if you're able to mod and replace the Redrabbit helmets, even moreso if you were to do the clothing mod as a bonus of sorts. Thanks for reading in advance.

  11. Greetings! Over the past week i've learned myself how to make sound mods for TDU and so will you! Anyway let's start with few basics tools you're gonna need; 1. Sony Vegas 17 (If you don't have legal copy, you can always get a free trial which lasts for 30 days, or you can crack it) 2. TDUMT (Test Drive Unlimited Modding Tools) 3. Samples from Video Games! I RECOMMEND GETTING SAMPLES FROM GAMES SUCH AS GRID, DIRT, GTR2, NFS, FORZA etc.. I'M USING SAMPLES FROM GTR2 FROM SIMBIN! BEFORE YOU DO ANY MODDING, PLEASE DO A BACKUP! Before we even start doing any modding itself. We have to be sure what audio.bnk are gonna modify today's example is LP720_Cpe_audio Now let's begin: PAGE 1: 1. Open TDUMT program and pick File Browser. 2. After you picked File Browser. On the left side of your screen you're gonna see a yellow file named Sound. As soon you click on it you will see few files but the one you're looking for is Vehicules. 3. We found the LP720_Cpe_audio in the program. Now we're gonna do a New Folder on Desktop and you can name it however you like. Let's call it 720 for our example. Then we will CTRL + A everything and click Extract... to your 720 Folder on your Desktop. NOW I'M GONNA TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT THE CarVSTConfig.xmb FILE. CarVSTConfig.xmb file is a coded file from Atari that regulates on what RPM the sounds activate in-game. I do NOT recommend messing with the file itself as it can break the whole sound. 4. Now that you extracted all your files to your 720 Folder. Now we have to check how long are the samples. For this example i will use Lambomurci_onhigh file. Now Right Click --> Properties --> Details and check Length. As you can see our file is 00:00:05 long which means it's a 5 second loop. 5. After we know how long the sample is we can now open Sony Vegas 17! PAGE 2: AUDIO EDITING SECTION!! TDU Recommend .WAV format is 177 Kbps, 44.100 Hz, 4 Bit, Mono, ADPCM. We can get that easily with these steps. 1. Open Sony Vegas 17. 2. Drag and Drop the Lambomurci_onhigh to the Editing Section so we can access Render As... options. 3. On top left you will see a tab called File. After you clicked on it. Click Render As... 4. As soon you click Render As... tab, you will be greeted with a rendering section. 5. Now find the Wave (Microsoft) tab and click Default Template. 6. After you clicked Default Template you can notice that you can notice that a new tab lighted up under the name Customize Template, click on the tab. 7. After you clicked on the Customize Template tab, you have to change the Format from PCM (uncompressed) to Microsoft ADPCM. 8. After you did that now we have to pick correct Attributes. We have to find 44,100 kHz, 4 Bit, Mono. Once you find it, click on it and then click OK. And we have our Template finished under the name Default Template (*) P.S YOU CAN ALSO SAVE THE TEMPLATE BY CLICKING ON THE STAR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TEMPLATE BY CLICKING FILTERS OFF --> SHOW FAVORITES ONLY NOW LET'S GET TO THE REAL DEAL OF SOUND MODDING! PAGE 3: 1. Firstly let's put Lambomurci_onhigh on the 1st channel in Sony Vegas, then we put the sample to 2nd channel 2. As you can see that 2nd channel sample is too long. If the sample is too long the game cannot read the file and it won't work! So what we have to do is trim the to the lenght of the original TDU sample 3. Once you're done trimming the 2nd channel. Now you can delete the 1st channel and export the sound under the name Lambomurci_onhigh on 177 Kbps, 44.100 Hz, 4 Bit, Mono, ADPCM format P.S KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU HAVE TO REPEAT PAGE 3 FOR EACH SOUND YOU HAVE! SUCH AS; -idle -onlow -onmid -onhigh -offlow -offmid -offhigh -starter After you done with all the sounds in correct lenght and format now it's time to import the sounds back to LP720_Cpe_audio.bnk file PAGE 4: 1. Open TDUMT program and pick File Browser. 2. After you picked File Browser. On the left side of your screen you're gonna see a yellow file named Sound. As soon you click on it you will see few files but the one you're looking for is Vehicules. 3. Find your LP720_Cpe_audio.bnk file and find the tab named Replace and click Keep Name... 4. Now it's gonna ask you to find the Lambomurci_onhigh file 5. Repeat for every file 6. Once you're done replacing every file. Congrats, you've made yourself a sound mod!
  12. After playing TDU on PS2 and playing it on PC, I just can't help but think the game feels really empty without those car-specific clubs. Does anyone know if it is possible to create such clubs? I'm sorry if this seems way too much.
  13. Introduction After editing by hand some sectors for the next update of Project Paradise, I thought it could be nice to create a proper map editor for TDU. After all, that's the only part of the game which has never been modded before. :) (and yes, next pp update should come soon, so less pm spam everyone thanks :twisted:) Description Even if it's called "Editor", this tool is a toolbox to export your files in your favorite 3D editor (maya, 3DS max, blender,... any editor as long as it's compatible with .obj) and obviously do the opposite. :p This choice as been made simply because I didn't want to make the usage of a cheap and badly written 3D editor an obligation. :D .obj has a pretty basic structure making easy to build an object from nothing. So we can keep our beloved Ferrari F430 or Shelby GT500 in the game ! TDU Platinium, TDUCP 2.00, HF Garage and many other community addon car packs are the result of this community effort to get more variety in TDU. Here is a even better and more complete tutorial than the one I've made 4 years ago for adding new cars in TDU. Believe me, it's easy when you get the process in mind and when you understand how it work. Don't be afraid. Time, logic and patience are you best friends. You gonna be able to use different sets of rims and choose many as you like ingame ! Just like the Mercedes CLK 55 AMG. And you can customize your new slots to your own taste like the wheel size, the names of the rims and many more options. About Online: Just to understand how TDU database works. First of, the Database is located in DB.bnk you can find in Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Database. Inside that BNK file, you have smaller db files for many stuffs. Open one of the smaller .db file (converted with TDUUT, tutorial further bellow) with a Notepad and you get tonnes of numbers. So one line in the TDU_CarPhysicsData.db file = one car. Same story for wheels: one line in TDU_Rims.db = one rim. A line in TDU_CarRims.db = One car and one rim connected together. And not just cars but you get it... TDU reads each values of the line and translate it into something like colors, what 3D car BNK to use, what gauges to use, how much HP, how grippy is the car, etc... Here's bellow how DB.bnk looks like inside when it's open by TDU Modding Tools: A\ Add a line into the database Okay let's take a simple mod I like with 2 different set of wheels, pre-made physics and a sound mod included: The Audi Sport Quattro made by Norby931 a long time ago. The car would normally replace the Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 as indicated by Norby himself. This time we are not replacing the Alfa GT, we gonna copy it and transform it into a dedicated working Audi Sport Quattro. /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ The original way to add a car manually is to open TDU_CarPhysicsData.db located inside DB.bnk (Next steps are in the TDUUT guide bellow). Once you've got your TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex file and opened it, copy the line in the database from the Alfa GT, go to the bottom of all the code lines and paste your copied Alfa GT. To find the line of the Alfa GT in the database, look for the REF value you can find in TDUF, TDU Modding Tools and TDUPE. Once you've got the number Change the REF value and the Car ID to separate the original Alfa GT line to your newly added Audi Quattro. Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 REF = 63518960 /!\ When changing the REF value, make sure to start from a completely different number from the original Atari line copied. Same for ID, start from value "2040" if your game is stock vanilla. It is extremely important to avoid conflict with the original Atari car. /!\ My REF is 6000000034. Start from 6000000001 (Or any number sequence with 10 digits) to be safe and next time you add a car start, name the REF 6000000012. Make sure 2 numbers are completely different from another existing value in the database. Use the search tool to double check if your new value is unique. And my ID number is 2233. +1 the ID number each time you add a car. (I've already added a few cars since ID 2040) Scroll back up. +1 the items value to make it readable in-game. The items tells the game how many lines (cars, rims...) are in the .db file. SAVE YOUR .db.hex FILE ! Then Go back to TDUUT's guide bellow to insert your edited .db file into the DB.Bnk file. DONE FOR THIS EDITING PART. B\ Add values with the DB Ressources app C\ Edit the copied lines with the newly added ressources D\ Add BNK files into the game with TDUF E\ Add the car into TDU Modding Tools and TDUPE F\ Adjusting the added vehicule Go down bellow to [Adjusting the mod] CONCLUSION AND RESULT TDUUT This part of the tutorial contains: MAINLY Convert .db crypted files into an editable file with a Notepad, + Extras: Moving .db files out and in DB.bnk and rename them. /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ INTRODUCTION | WHAT IT DOES ? Convert your db file into an editable hex file. Very useful if you want for exemple to add a new car or wheels (remember: one car or rim = one line) at the end of the database. You can even edit the wheel size. Don't open the TDUUT.exe file, it only works by drag and drop db and .db.hex files. A\ EXTRACT A db FILE FROM THE DB.bnk FILE ? Open TDU Modding Tools 1.16.3 > Close the Vehicule Manager window. > Open File Browser > Click on Database folder (1) > Select DB.Bnk (2). Select your desired file "TDU_CarPhysicsData.db" for example. To select multiple files, Press Ctrl and click on the files you want. (3). Click on "Extract" (4). Create a dedicated folder or select one you like to export your db file (5) and click "OK" (6). It should open a window with all your extracted db files. B\ HOW TO CONVERT A db FILE ? Open the folder where you TDU UT is located. Drag your db file into the TDUUT and let the magic happen. A new file appear as for example "TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex". Delete all the original db file. You are not gonna use them anymore unless you corrupt your TDU DB.Bnk and use it as a backup file. You should be able to open your new db.hex file with a notepad and edit it. I strongly recommend you open the file with Notepad + + (Download: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) C\ HOW TO EDIT THE DATABASE ? [GO UP INTO THE ADDING NEW SLOTS (Old long method) TO FOLLOW THE STEPS OF EDITING THE DATABASE] D\ HOW TO CONVERT AN EDITED db.hex FILE INTO db ? Same as above, just drag and drop your edited db.hex file into TDUUT. You should get a db file named for example TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex . To difference all the files, look on the right side the type file where you have "HEX File" (=db.hex) and "Data Base File" (=db file) E\ HOW TO PUT MY NEW EDITED db FILE INTO TDU MODDING TOOLS ? First of, rename your file and delete "db.hex" at the end of the file. No worry, it will not corrupt the file. It's just a few letters and numbers that needs to be deleted to match the original file name you are gonna replace. Drag and drop your new edited db file into the box db files. Or in TDU Modding Tools click on Replace > Keep name then navigate toward your new db file, select it then click on "open". Done TDUF: Adding New Slots (New fast method) INTRODUCTION lalalala /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ A\ Add a new slot lalalala B\ Add new wheels Add wheels is certainly easier and faster than adding a car. 1\ Add wheels on a brand new slot 2\ Add wheels on an existing slot Let's practice on a nice set of Saleen S7 wheels made by -=[(ELVIS)]=- . The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo already exist in the game. It's got one set of very simple silver rims in the stock TDU game. Let's add 2 new sets of some nice silver chrome and black wheels ! Open TDUF, Load Database. Click on Settings (2), Profile "Vehicule Slots" (3). [Also known as TDU_CarPhysicsData.db in the DB.Bnk file] Select a desired vehicle you want to add wheels. (4). Select "Wheels" (5). In the list, select one of the wheels that is recommended to replace by the modder (6). In this case, It's the S7T_F_01.bnk. So the REF of the wheel is 1209545995. To find the name of the BNK file and the link to it's REF, click on the arrow (7). Now You get on a different side of the database. [This is TDU_Rims.db in the DB.Bnk file] click on the little "C" (1). This will actually copy the original line and create a new one with it's specific own REF ! Now you need to make your copy unique and make it readable by TDU. You will have to edit the following values by clicking the arrow: Manufacturer (2). It's M if the wheel added is the same manufacturer from the original wheel. O if the wheel added is for a differenet manufacturer. In this case for the S7, I leave it untouch. Name (3) (M) Displayed name (4) (M). That's the name showed in the showroom before you buy the car. Price (5) (M) Spoke (6) (M) Directory (7) (M but can be O). Important this one. Modify it only if you have BBS wheels for exemple and you want to create a BBS foler in Bnk\Vehicules\Rim\. Modify this value tell the game where to search for the wheel Bnk files. So for our S7 wheels, let's leave it on Saleen. M = Mandatory O = Obligatory (8) is gonna be the same process for the front and the rear. Do the Front wheels then the Rear wheels. To finish...   16. hi, i try to install tdu 1 on my pc but the installer close and i get this message after it finish downloading installshield wizard (the installer was interrupted before tdu could be completely installed). I have an original cd in perfect condition, i tried compatibility mode but nothing work. anyone have a solution ? thanks
  17. Hello! My current project this month since we're in Lockdown and can't go outside anymore. I've decided to make a more modern radio. Despite Milli did great work by herself but the music she provided isn't that great for cruising around Hawaii. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This radio itself will have "probably" custom radio names if i can make that work The genre's are Liquid Drum n Bass Jazz/LoFi Hip Hop/RnB House/Tech/Deep House I will make the tracks transition one by one so it can act like a real radio. In my past topic I made about "Stanced" BMW's I've talked about the BBS RS Slantedlip Rims (Deep Dish). Trough the topic I said that I really can't remember from which website I downloaded the rims. So guess what... Now I know and I'm going to show ya'll. The Rims mod are made by Rulezzz. First of all here's the Toyata GT86 Rocket Bunny Mod which featured that BBS Rims. But download link leads to a deleted file error.. Im going to show you a way around. TDU 1 Is a Great game but, TDU 2 is more, but, need more things, mods and a online mode, but have bad things, like the useless tuning, and the good thing, is the decals shop, but, cars are short and too much ferrari, maybe a TDU 2 Platinum can fix, anyway, why tdu2 is overrated? i knoww TDU 1 have like a 800+ cars, but, TDU2 Need a Oportunity....

  22. I just got TDU Platinum up and working and I've been enjoying it but every 10 minutes or so, the framerate just drops dramatically to eventually like 1FPS, and then it crashes. I have a gaming laptop with a I7-9750H (6C, 12T) with a RTX 2060 and 16GB RAM, which should be more than ample to run TDU Platinum. Anybody know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Also note: Before I got Platinum, I had the 1.66A Patch with the Megapack and I didn't experience any FPS issues or stutters.

    A redux version of a mod I posted on the Discord originally. Uploaded to TurboDuck for permanence. This mod reduces all transmission whine (except from reversing) by ~50% normally, or ~80% for the quieter option. It's at a volume that's still audible, but not louder than the engine audio. The main version is recommended since the quieter version can barely be heard. Preview (of the main version) If I messed something up, please report it. The quieter version was untested, and I don't use this mod when I play.
