Does your family have any other camera? Even a point and shoot can be used very well - I still receive praise for photos I took with my old Samsung L80, well before I went into DSLR territory. Even your phone can do it (I took this with my phone - and my phone's camera sucks) - look at Safiro's photo in week 12 - he took that with his phone, and he won!

 

Go on - give it a go - a good photographer should be able to take good photos with prtty much any camera.

I do have a Sony Cybershot DSCW90. It's what I used to take the photo of the building disappearing into the clouds in one Photw which I won. Unfortunately, it's with my sister as she's on her honeymoon.
